Reaper hates life: 7-A tiersetter tournament

Ultimate Marvel will NEVER get matches

lol I'll try to look for smth
I have more Warcraft 7-As than there are blades of grass, Genshin Impact also currently has a ton of 7-As.

You're spoiled for choice with those two verses lol

You'd need two because of what I promised Psycho(that Gilded would be the first up if someone got DQ'd)
Uhh sure I guess. I don't really object at all really, but everytime I see Psycho in a tourney, they will have like one post before never being seen again in the tourney match again. I shit you not, I have been in that position for 4 times across different tourneys, hence why I'm bringing it up. Nothing against Psycho, but there's that.
In the meantime, I can just kick back and relax and watch as the chaos unfolds.

Matches being stalled because one side never shows up is partially why I maintain the right to send a ****** right to the void and move the other character on

Remove my backup. My character will deal virtually no damage to any of the fighters.
HIGH 7-C TOURNAMENT WHERE ARE YOUUUU!
Shinji-Chair.jpg

Man, i shouldve tried to submit Ramiel (Evangelion) for the lols, but uh
pretty sure Thrall just gets sniped as soon as he's registered as a threat

Oh my god

I FORGOT ABOUT MERUEMMMMMMMMM

I knew there was someone that was 7-A that I couldn't remember for some reason.

Kill me now.
You could also pick out a character with reliable dura neg. Since ya know, Yoriichi is getting replaced for obvious reasons but I decide to let you NOT get railed by things you just forgot about because I do that too

Should probably note here that there’s a revision for HLD. It’s not too big, though, just changing "High" to actual ratings type of stuff. It shouldn't affect the tourney even if it doesn’t exist.

basically having your character get DQ'd with no chance to replace it
Gildedguy gets in if fhere isnt a repladement today.
I guess that means I can submit another character? In that case, I'm going to replace Yoriichi with Post-Rose Meruem. For the sake of following the list of rules DaReaperMan has set out for the tournament

Since Post-Rose Meruem has two different mindsets that will affect matches, I will be splitting the two into different versions. The two different versions are "Amnesiac Meruem" and "Gungi Meruem" I'll let DaReaperMan pick which version of Meruem I'll use in arguments

Amnesiac Meruem is the version of Meruem that came fresh off of the Rose Bomb. This one is most similar to his Pre-Rose Key where he is cruel and doesn't care about life, and he usually tries to kill whoever opposes him quickly and without exception. This one is narratively Blood-lusted, as during his fight with Netero, he took hits from him in order to figure out Netero's "rhythm." He does enjoy a good fight, but it doesn't stop him from defeating his opponent.

Gungi Meruem is a whole other story. This one's stuck in a weird position of being a pacifist and borderline suicidal. After regaining his memories, Meruem pretty much mentally peaces out of fighting and trying to win. He doesn't try to cure the poison from the rose bomb which he can do through Regeneration or Body Control and even though there's an entire war going on, he makes a b-line for Komugi to basically play a Board game with her until he dies. Didn't try to kill anyone, didn't want to fight anyone, just play a board game.

How Post-Rose Meruem can lose to Thrall
Meruem needs time to identify Thrall's "rhythm," which is the unconscious bias that Thrall has when attacking. During this time, Thrall has the chance to get some good hits in. If Thrall does decide to use his favored form of attack, Electricity Manipulation, then Meruem will easily resis. Likewise with Magma Manipulation, but if Thrall decides to use his Earth Manipulation or Air Manipulation, Meruem will be in for a bad time. The multiple Tornados Thrall can summon can mess up Meruem's flight, and Thrall's Earth Manipulation being able to crush castles and cause earthquakes
  • Earth Manipulation (Crushed an entire castle with his use of the elements, and later caused an entire earthquake)
can kill Meruem with the combination of LS + AP. This is only in the case that Thrall uses Earth Manipulation only AFTER he uses Air Manipulation, because Meruem's flight will be messed up by the air and then Thrall has the chance to crush Meruem with Earth Manipulation.

It doesn't help that Meruem sees Thrall has some weird looking Chimera Ant with no Nen to speak of or Thrall is hiding his Nen using Zetsu or In. Meruem will be surprised to see that Thrall can seemingly create magical effects without the use of Nen. Meruem will usually want to gain insight into his opponent and surroundings before doing anything. Meruem he'll usually start with Spiritual Massage, En, and Photons, which do this:
These Photons move at the Speed of Light. From there, Meruem will adapt whatever information he receives to try to find Thrall's "Rhythm" and beat Thrall through cqc. Thrall will absolutely get slammed by Meruem's Extraordinary Genius, Accelerated Development, and Precognition, but this is only AFTER Meruem figures out Thrall's rhythm, which will vary and or take longer depending on how many elements Thrall decides to throw out. There are other scenarios that can happen, but that will only add to Meruem's chances to win and Thrall's chances to lose.

I'm not really good at adding solid percentages to things, since they are entirely subjective, as one person's 10% can be another's 25%, but I can see Thrall winning every 2 encounters out of 10 with Meruem. I say this because given this information:
Thrall from SBA range is going to be striking at the opponent, likely with earth-based attacks since that's what he can do without having literal lightning strike. Rinse and repeat until he gets close enough to start mixing in magma, air, and eventually Melee into the mix.
The only way Thrall would be able to win against Meruem if he decides to summon multiple tornados and crushes Meruem with his earth manipulation during the period Meruem is trying to figure out his "rhythm." Since Thrall's preferred form of attack is Electricity Manipulation and he starts with Earth Manipulation from afar, his win condition is unlikely but is possible if Thrall decides to change his tactics.

Miscellaneous

This is for anything I didn't have the chance to place in the original paragraph.

Thrall resists like, everything. Meruem doesn't have any layers to any of his stuff. Meruem DOES have Invisible and Intangible Nen attacks, but that's pretty much limited to just his Energy Projection. Meruem can spam this too
(To those who can't use Gyo or can't see aura, Nen attacks are invisible. In general, Nen attacks are entirely made of aura. The only exception would be for Conjurer who is a Nen User who can materialize objects that sometimes even non-Nen users can see and touch, but even then all conjurers should be able to use others Nen types that have invisible and intangible properties)
Though it doesn't stop Thrall from Tornado + Earth Crush Ggs

Meruem can also use Zetsu, which does this:
Stealth Mastery and Limited Body Control (Zetsu shuts off all aura nodes in the body, effectively concealing a user's presence, it can conceal from even other Nen Users. Ordinary people are unable to sense them even if they're in direct line of sight. Zetsu also relieves fatigue as aura is forced to stay inside)
But like, what is this supposed to mean? I looked at the Hunter X Hunter wiki for more information
While Ten allows a user to keep aura from leaking away from their body, Zetsu stops the flow of aura from their body altogether. By closing all of their aura nodes, the user is able to halt all outflow of their aura like water from a valve, making their presence much harder or even impossible to sense

Shutting off the nodes in their eyes prevents the user from being able to see aura, but, since they are no longer surrounded by their own aura, they become more sensitive to the aura of others. The enhancement in perception is such that Zetsu can counter In, although it is not advised to employ it in this way. This technique is thus doubly useful when tracking another person, as it will make it easier to follow them and prevent other Nen users from noticing their pursuer. However, there are other ways to perceive a person hiding with Zetsu: aside from the effectiveness of the five senses, particularly perceptive individuals are capable of detecting the gaze of another person, although they might not manage to discern the position and number of onlookers. Furthermore, if Zetsu is activated within a certain range from a Nen user, that Nen user might notice their presence disappearing, especially if the Zetsu user's aura is powerful. Despite the technique not affecting vision directly, activating Zetsu in front of someone else will give them the impression that the user has turned transparent.
But vs battles also says this:
In - Making Nen invisible to the 5 senses or Extrasensory Perception that isn't amplified by Gyo, an example being when Kurapika used In on his chains Uvogin could no longer see, hear, feel or smell them even though his entire body was encased in them for a majority of the fight.

Zetsu stops the flow of aura from their body altogether by closing all of their aura nodes. This makes them harder or even impossible to perceive or sense. However this means ones defence to any Nen attack, Ten, is taken away making it a big risk to use. Zetsu can also relieve fatigue because it stops the use of aura.

In - is an advanced application of Zetsu and it makes ones aura imperceptible to Nen Users who can see the already invisible Nen, even extremely powerful aura is hidden. It conceals from the normal five senses and even the extrasensory perception of Nen Users. In can be seen through by Gyo.

Okay so Meruem at any time can go invisible. Meruem may or may not use it against Thrall. While yes, Thrall can't see invisibility, Meruem doesn't know that. He'll either assume that Thrall is using Zetsu or In, or some other form of Nen hiding. Meruem will be surprised that Thrall didn't dodge a Rage Aura blast (they're invisible to Thrall), then assume that Thrall can't use Gyo
Gyo - Enhances Extrasensory Perception/Extra-Senses and can see through In
Which will most likely lead to Meruem trying to get as much Rage Blasts on Thrall as possible. Meruem wouldn't use Nen to turn himself Invisible unless he knows for certain that Thrall can't use Nen, like at all. I'm talking Meruem realizes that Thrall isn't even using Zetsu or In. This would confuse Meruem, because if Meruem realizes this, Meruem would be like what the ****, how is he (Thrall) controlling elements? It's very unlikely for Meruem to think that Thrall can't use Nen and more likely for him to think that Thrall is using Zetsu or In, or somehow used a Nen Condition to imbue his Nen into the elements and traded off the ability to use Nen himself, or literally any other justification for Thrall not actually using Nen. There are humans in Hunter X Hunter that don't have Nen at all, but like, humans also don't control the ****ing weather and can create tornadoes.

I don't even know why I made Amnesiac Meruem and Gungi Meruem and created that whole section as if DaReaperMan isn't just going to use Amnesiac Meruem. Why did I even type that?

In Conclusion

I think Meruem doesn't ****stomp Thrall and Thrall has a chance to win.
