Intro:
Our Speed and LS calcs are shit. Luckily, these calcs have not-so-recently been accepted, so let’s apply them. This should be fairly easy and straightforward.

Speed:
Guts - Guts now has two separate feats that put him at Subsonic+. This means his Beginning Of The Golden Age should be upgraded to this.
Griffith - Outright called Guts’ equal. This is confirmed by Guts. His Beginning Of The Golden Age Key should also get Subsonic+.
Casca - She now has an actual Subsonic Feat. We can use this instead of Baseline Subsonic

LS:
Guts - Guts did this. His LS key should now read this.
Class 25 (Lifted a Ram Dao at Subsonic+ Speeds which would yield this) | Atleast Class 25 (Stronger than before) | Atleast Class 25 (Stronger than before)

Griffith - Also scales to Class 25, see above for reasoning.
Casca - She has a Class 5 Feat.

Speed is fine, but using a calculated combat speed used for scaling as a means to get LS sounds like Calc Stacking.

All seems ok, but I wouldn't remove Guts's additional lifting strength feats from the profile.
Also, I'm a little skeptical regarding Griffith being equal in LS to Guts, since the general portrayal is for the former to be swifter and the latter stronger, matching each other but in different departments.

Yeah, that was a mistake. He will keep his Class K in Berserker Armor.

I understand this, but I believe the text lays out the opposite:
Judeau outright states "their strengths are equal." Casca futher supports this. Griffith further states that he can parry two or three strikes with the only reason of failure being the quality of his sword not his strength.

I assume since both mods agree and I have addressed their concerns that we can enter the 24 hour grace period?

Is it fine to assume these are Agree and to start 24 hr Grace?

i think this would fall OUTSIDE of this section of our KE rules (yes i know it's getting force but the concept should still apply)

Speed can be used to find KE when

  • A certain character moves at a certain speed while carrying an object, that would require superhuman strength to be carried.
in this case it's not KE but force, and it's in the same way that we wouldn't give someone LS for changing directions while moving at high speeds while carrying something like a katana

Thx Setto

my point is to say i think the feat is invalid, not an agreement
Oh.
Well, I would have to take issue with your example. Guts isn't just carrying the katana - he is swinging it, and from what I seen of force calcs, that is fairly valid.

yes, i know he's swinging it
you haven't addressed the part of our KE rules that i actually brought up though
otherwise practically every character moving faster than subsonic speeds would have high LS simply because it takes force to change direction moving at those speeds, but we don't do that

yes, i know he's swinging it
Which is very important. There is a massive difference between someone just carrying a 20 lbs weight while running versus swing 20 lbs weight at Subsonic Speeds. One is about Travel Speed. The other is about Lifting Strength.

Would not lifting something a superhuman speeds qualify, or do you mean to tell me that there is no difference in Lifting Strength between a man lifting 50 kg at Athletic Human Speeds and one lifting at Hypersonic ones?

That would be have to be taken on a case by case basis. Regardless, it isn't relevant to the current feat. Guts isn't changing directions. He was already in the process of lifting the sword and decided to lift faster.

you're nitpicking my example here
my example was running while carrying an object that does not require superhuman strength to carry because that was an easy comparison to make
i said "changing direction" because that was relevant to my example, and changing direction is a form of acceleration (and obviously accelerating/decelerating any mass requires force)
does saying the word acceleration explicitly make what i'm trying to say clearer

i think the weight of the object is what matters here, personally.
if guts swung his dragon slayer in this exact manner i'd have absolutely no issue using it as is (i'm pretty sure he has a Class G rating in a later key explicitly because of something like that), because that requires superhuman strength to be carried, like mentioned in the KE rules (again, i know it says KE but i feel the same things should apply)
the 1.6kg sword does not

Fiction is not a consistent physics equation, sometimes this just doesn't line up with the actual feats of the character or even itself. For example, with this hypothetical instance of a 50 kilogram weight being lifted at hypersonic speeds, you know what would also occur? The person wielding the weapon, who's presumably not several times the mass of a car, would be flung upwards because it's very difficult to brace yourself against being abruptly lifted and this is a force of 85750 Newtons, 8741.080530071355 kilograms

Given this doesn't happen, you can reasonably assume the work isn't trying to conflate lifting an object in time as their muscles being able to fling a bus at someone with ease (Or even them being Subsonic+, given what's linked on the calc doesn't show them swinging before Guts grabs the sword)

I'm not sure about this, as the Wiki rules seem to vary from person to person.
Couldn't the "Samson Centrifugal Force" calculation serve as a substitute for Guts's feat?
Viott achieved this feat...

The mods don't like Berserk. It isn't going to get upgraded. They are going to find a way to say the feat is invalid.

It's difficult if you're a regular human, why is it the same for Guts? I'm sure you've read Berserk, its been remarked on how incredible Guts is for swinging the sword around like its nothing so they certainly take into account the physics behind swinging such a massive object. And just asking since this seems like a general belief, how is this not applied for the other many LS feats?

I understand that, with just one more administrator missing to accept my calculation to go to the pages, two members went there to reject the calculation.
It's like a lucky moment for something to be accepted here :(

Dude, its not going to pass. Stop trying.
