Uryu Ishida vs Saitama (5-9-0)

I never said his AD wouldn't kick in, I just don't think it'll be to the extent that it was against Garou for reasons that I already mentioned, once Saitama surpasses Uryu's strength, there is no real reason for his power to keep rapidly increasing by orders of magnitude
The thing is saitama doesn't grow to continue fighting with the enemy even when he has surpassed them, he grows enough to one shot who ever he is fighting.
If Saitama kills Uryu with that hit then sure, but I don't think that's what will happen, I think it's much more likely that Saitama gets a few times stronger than Uryu, punches him and does huge, potentially even lethal damage, and then Uryu just reflects that damage

Depends, but If saitama punches uryu in the face, like he usually does that would knock him out at best or kill him at worst.

It doesn't transfer AP, it swaps states such as sustained damage via causality so I don't see why it would be limited by things like that.

Though my thoughts are pretty much the same as yours, Uryu's wincon is to survive a lethal enough hit and reflect it onto Saitama, and Saitama's wincon is to grow strong enough to kill or knock out before that happens.
Makes sense to me.

Saitama fights against an worthy opponent with special abilities like these. His emotinal state would cause him to get stronger before he became dissatisfied or anything.

He reaches his level doesn't mean he'll instantly stop feeling everything or anything. At least he wouldn't stop feeling things before he grows much

I don't think this is accurate. Maybe the Manga depicts it differently.

Afaik Saitama wasn't fighting seriously at all in that fight
He wasn't true but he was still trying to win the fight by stopping boros either by knock out or killing him. Like he always does. Saitama doesn't elongate fights by his own will, he tries to end it quickly but the fight could go longer than expected depending on the enemy's strength. Once saitama surpasses uryu he is going to punch uryu in the face like he did to garou or the giant guy or most of the opponents he is fighting and uryu wouldn't be conscious enough to reverse it.

Nothing like that.
Wasn't he doing things he hasn't done before in that fight? I believe the main point here is he wouldn't want to elongate the fight he is going end the fight the moment he is strong enough to or if he has the means to do so from the beginning once he sees the opponent requires that level of power to defeat, he will utliize it.

He didn't try to finish the fight(at least after the first attack). He let the fight continue, But then became depressed seeing the difference in power. Then he was kinda surprised against Meteoric Burst but then it was still nothing.

I don't remember him growing in power against Boros, rather, he was just holding back to enjoy the fight.

If he kills or incapacitates Uryu with the hit it would be enough. Antithesis is thought based, so as long as Uryu isn't dead or unconscious, he can reflect the damage, and given his immortality type 2, he can survive some pretty major damage such as bisection.
Yeah I was wrong on that but not on my overall message. He wasn't holding back because he was enjoying the fight to my understanding. He was holding back because he didn't think he would need that level of power to stop boros til he realized it.

But the thing is, it is in saitama's character to go for the face to finish his opponents doing that to uryu would incapacitate him or kill him.

He still was trying to end the fight tho, but boros was regenerating and getting stronger through his armor removal and his other form. I recall he destroys boros a few times before he finally used his serious punch. If boros didn't have the means to elongate the fight through his regeneration and amps, the fight would ended a lot sooner. So I don't think the fight elongated because saitama intentionally wanted it to imo. Rather than he kept going out a bit to kill boros til it was finally enough.

It was after he was sent to moon aka Meteoric Burst.

Which means it was after he understood his regular everyday attacks wouldn't be enough.
He still used his regular attacks. He later stated that there weren't any enemies he couldn't beat with normal punches.

Boros fight won't give much info or anything for this fight

I'm not sure that's enough, souls in Bleach are incredibly resilient to damage and falling unconscious

Even if Saitama punched Uryu's body in half for example, he'd remain alive long enough to swap the damage with Saitama, and Saitama can't survive that.

Saitama’s goto is a punch to the face, none of are similar to that. A punch to the face from someone of higher AP would either knock Uryu out when his brain gets vibrated by a decent force or destroy his head completely if the gap is higher. Both of these wouldn't allow uryu to activate antithesis

I don't know if arguing this is as straightforward as you say, considering Uryu's style of fighting is always fighting at - and staying- at range.

AD might close the range gap, but at that point, Uryu's intellect is gonna connect the dots and say "I need to use my transferhax else this is gonna end badly for me". This holds especially true when Saitama performs his cloud/galaxy-splitting punches at range.

Uryu isn't just limited to swapping damage either, he can swap anything between two designated points including position, so unless Saitama becomes faster than Uryu can even think, since the Antithesis is thought based, he's going to have an extremely hard time hitting him regardless.

This logic would only work if they had similar speed. Uryu isn't gonna form a thought much less act on it before he gets blitzed and he needs to activate it after the damage no? And also none of those photos show the person being alive after being obliterated like how ichibe was when yhwach negged him

Well, Speed is equalized in this match. Naturally they start around the same level of speed to start.

As I suggested before, Saitama getting AD amps is the way for him to close the distance. However, it stands to reason that will take time. Enough time for Uryu to, debatebly, realize what Saitama's deal is.

Garou who was equal to Platinum Sperm grow enough to blitz and one shot him within 0.0013 second.

I don't understand what your point or how it relates to Saitama given the conditions of this match.

I'm also fairly certain that Garou went through a gauntlet of fights to do that at all? Seems like a false equivalence to me, or maybe I'm missing something.

It relates to Saitama since Saitama's growth is superior to Garou's.

This fight was the first one after he woke up.

Ah.

How long did it take for him to defeat Garou?
Saitama would’ve blitzed and one shot Garou had he not gone Mode: Saitama to match his power in the literal first seconds of the fight.

The only reason Garou stayed alive for so long against Saitama was because he could match Saitama’s AD through copying.

Saitama pretty much jumps 2x into 3x into 4x in thirty seconds. I don’t have the scan on me right now, but Saitama jumped over 58x his AP in minutes.

Going by Saitama's profile, his speed increases from his AD don't seem to be anywhere near as significant as his AP increases. He remains at FTL+ throughout the duration of the fight, and the minimum and maximum values of FTL+ are only 10x apart. Is 10x enough to blitz Uryu faster than he can even think? I doubt it, especially when you factor in distance.

This shouldn't matter in equal speed tho.
I would imagine it helps in situations like this regarding speed equal or else speed equal pretty worthless against characters like Saitama who can abuse it via his AD arguments unless im wrong?

I'm not all that familiar with how it works for battles here nowadays.

Okay that's an argument but he was eventually fast enough to blitz someone who was his equal in speed before. Garou

His AD applies to all stats evenly.

8x is enough to blitz completely. Perception, action, all that is bring out speed.

Saitama still gets the same stat amps. They basically just start at the same speed stat. Say for example, if Saitama was speed of light and Uryu was mftl+, then Uryu gets reduced to speed of light and Saitama can grow to blitz.

They do have rules says that if Uryu wouldn’t struggle against Saitama speed amps in speed unequal, then it wouldn’t go on the profiles, but if Uryu with speed unequal would still struggle then it doesn’t really matter. Take it with a grain of salt though. You can look at the rules on versus thread matches
