How are you even a One Piece fan then? There's almost always a prominent child character in every arc
Ok, allow me to explain.
Acceptable prominent child characters:
-Chopper, who counts because he is an adorable little baby man
-Colon
-Kid versions of adult characters I enjoy(Backstory)
-the kid who gave Zoro that rice
-Usopp's child soldier
-Aisa or whatever from Skypiea(Solely because the Haki was cool)
-Bonney
-6/7 Seraphim
-the one actually decent kid from Punk Hazard who protected the drugs and shit from the other kids
-Wano Momonosuke
-Tama
-That little freak who lived with Yasuie
Irritating prominent characters:
-Kid versions of adult characters I do not enjoy(Backstory)
-almost any member of the nobility
-the Doflamingo Seraphim specifically until further notice
-all the other kids from Punk Hazard
-Momonosuke before Wano
-That dumb-ass dead baby from Senor Pink's backstory
-Charlotte Flampe if she counts as a child character which she probably doesn't
Neutral:
-Capone Pez Dispensor
-Any other children on the Big Mom Pirates
Basically, I get really irritated with child characters in a lot of series, but a lot of manga manage to not make characters I am supposed to be entertained by into little weirdoes. It's a weird paradox where child characters acting like adults is creepy, but regular children are also creepy.
The reason One Piece does not fall into this is mostly because typically children are sticky little gremlins and I do not want to see very much of them, but this series has a main character who happens to be a sticky little gremlin, so they don't really stand out as much.
