I don't think the thread was necessarily going to stop Cell being Solar System level; just that it would have been baseline Solar System level instead of the current calc which is above baseline.

Not exactly. Perfect Cell is only 4-B because of upscaling from Cell Games SS Gohan, who is >65.8125 Foe. Cell Games SS Gohan is only >65.8125 Foe because he is superior to Babidi Saga Gohan, who is half as powerful as Babidi Saga SS2 Gohan, whose power surpasses Babidi Saga SS Goku at >131.625 Foe. And, Babidi Saga SS Goku is only >131.625 Foe because he downscales from SS3 Goku by 8x, and SS3 Goku currently upscales directly from Cell's calculation.

Hypothetically speaking, if the anime became supplementary to the manga, would that dissolve the current continuity split and make it more like “non contradicting materials can apply to the manga profiles”?

To clarify, the works listed in the second image include: the original Dragon Ball manga, the TV anime (DB, Z, and GT), the Z TV specials Bardock: Father of Goku and History of Trunks, the GT TV special A Hero's Legacy, the four DB films (including Path to Power), Z movies 1 through 14 (i.e., Dead Zone through Battle of Gods), Nekomajin, Dr. Mashirito and Abale-chan, the Raging Blast OVA Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans, the Jump Super Anime Tour OVA The Return of Son Goku and Friends, and the anime adaptation of Episode of Bardock.

Interestingly, outside of the few major characters who appeared in Penguin Village during the Red Ribbon Army Saga, Dr. Slump is never mentioned or referenced, even considering the fact that Abale-chan is a standalone sequel to Dr. Slump. Granted, Abale-chan and Nekomajin are included in a blurb identifying the discrepancies in their continuity, with the former being acknowledged for its use of the Gregorian calendar instead of the Age system standardized in DB, and the latter being recognized as a *parallel world" separate from the DB World.

Like for christ sake, they are not only ignoring dragonballs narrative part and have no idea what they are watching when it comes to the sweet science of fighting, but the worst counter argument ive seen "Bro, DBs punches are telegraphed": No shit bud, 99% of verses are like that and if you think hard, you should know why and what it adds. Shit, now you have to explain that there’s a reason why the animators are displaying it that way.

Would much rather get punched in the face by a prime Mike Tyson than ever engage in a debate on YouTube, lol.

You know this is probably ironic considering I'm the guy who went through the effort of looking through all the film and GT Guides to point how all the films are explicitly linked and how the films are stated to link to GT and some parts of Z (which retroactively affects the rest, because all the films are bound together, so if one is canonized it creates a domino effect canonizing all of them), but this is somehow too much for me to believe.

Like, I can get the Movies being in the Anime canon because Koyama outright said that whilst he always intended this to be the case, he was working on specific deadlines and on behind productions and couldn't align them the way he wanted (creating massive discrepancies) but I can't reconcile Toriyama's work being conjoined with the Anime's/Z-Films, because of Toriyama's own testimony on the subject.

Also, I was honestly thinking of splitting the Toeiverse in two, because while it's undeniable that the anime, films and GT are intended to take place in a world where they (as in all the Toei-Products) all fit, they...y'know...don't, and I kind of wanted to have a "Z-Anime" Goku that exists as just the raw Anime and then have a Z-Film Goku who has both the Anime and Films, since the Films often reference the canon events in nebulous ways (and as seen in their Pamphlets and Anime Comics, often the way the Anime handled the events are considered what they're referring to, even when it doesn't make much sense, so it's actually the proper way to consider him).

The only thing I'm struggling with is where GT sits, because it's both directly the sequel to the Z-Anime and also the future of the Toei Movies.

Especially since while I'm sure I can "get away" with making that distinction for the Z-Era, I doubt I'm going to be allowed to make TWO GT Goku's, one for each Future of the Z-Era to try and reconcile their conflicts.

Really, I wish that Toei had just made everything a whole lot less of a clusterfuck.

It reminds me of how the Guardians of the Galaxy met Spider-Man for the "First Time" 3 different times (different Guardians and Spider-Man, too) in the 2010's Era of Marvel Cartoons and it all be canon, despite none of it making sense. (Yes, I saw that recently released video and that's what made me think of it, but STILL! It's a fitting comparison!)
 
Kinda hate that Kakarot DLC 3 is described as being based off of the History of Trunks TV special instead of the original story.
Such a good friggin' expansion to the narrative.
 
The Future Cell fight does not trigger Auto Super Saiyan, which normally happens in fights where the playable character is expected to use Super Saiyan (e.g., Future Gohan/Trunks vs. Future Androids, Goku vs. Cell, Vegeta vs. Majin Buu, etc.), strongly implying Trunks can battle Future Cell in his normal form.
 
4 very simple reasons why Goku beats every single slugger (looking at a very specific spaces thread).

No deeper breakdown needed since everyone who hasnt been stoned can see that - if we stick just to Z - Goku relied on counters, used sweaps, throws and some grappling here and there.

All we really need are 1 Daima statement and 1 displayed feat but im adding a bit more of cheese.

1. Goku establishes his jab to set up his straight punches, he uses other stuff but doesnt change the fact that straight punches/jabs > everything which becomes even more real under stats equal matches, and the closer we get to the real world, the more Goku begins to shine.

2. In Daima when he tried to kick pillar, he said "ive lost my sense of distance" due him getting smaller. This statement goes hand in hand with feats and Whis comment about martial arts (Goku vs Kale/Caulifa) which means he fully knows and understands the distance game.

3. He uses bodyshots and creates openers which he quickly abused (See the Tagami fight). Theres a reason why Goku got the "bodysnaper" nickname in my server.

4. Rewatch that Piccolo fight. Rather than wasting energy, he choosed the more efficient approach and push himself away and used Piccolos own gameplan to counter him.

Wont mention grappling since OPM, GoH, Borito, Fotns are in the same tier, the only one from the new gen who does it all right when it comes to the variations of entry and finish in a correct way, is Kengan - it aint mindblowing but still miles better than 99% of the anime ones (anime,manga,webtoons) that get used.

Theres still KI/flight and DB is amongs the best when it comes in using it like a skill in combat. Be it for set ups, dictating the pace or for the feints game. I wont say the best since im pretty sure there are some verses - with a viewership of 100 guys - that do a better job when it comes to such stuff.

I dont have a problem with Goku losing against Mighty Guy, even though Niko / Goku are the very best for me when it comes under a real world setting , but mtherfkers like Sukuna, Grayson and other randoms? Thats a new low end 😭

Street tiers in DC have an absurd and extensively long history and scaling chain of martial arts feats. I have next to no idea what you’re talking about but from the little I can gather, I would be hesitant to say Goku is a better martial artist than Dick Grayson in his prime.

my niko / goku comment is just real world non sense that can be ignored, the other stuff: why goku would never lose or his marial arts aint enough against guys like mark grayson/sukuna.

thats a fking new low end.

my point was, no matter how you twist it - if we go by story: Goku surpassed "master of this and that" like 30 years ago, if we go by feats: Gokus feat against Tao / IQ feat against Piccolo or just sticking to choreography ... aint no way a single slugger can keep up wih Goku. They get stomped.

All you need are 2 things from Daima but it just baffels me how most forgot Whis statement about Goku/Caulifla.

One of them is a very talented brawlers the other one is a martial artist since the 90s and thats why Whis comment applies to Goku.
