Well guys, as you know MG Info 2 was nuked a few weeks ago (here), I couldn't participate because I was NEP, well, actually I could just propose it again but I prefer to wait for volume 10 or the introduction of the silver sea to propose it to the order itself instead of Magic Formulas alone.

Right now my proposal is to give Info 2 to Anos, Venuzdonoa and maybe Celis & Graham. Why? Well, both are able to interact, manipulate and destroy the spirits, spirits are Info Type 2 btw. Though we currently have no spirit profiles created, we have some information about them here. Well, actually more in verse can interact with the spirits under special circumstances, like sasha or misha for example (using Vebzud), but right now I don't care about the fodders.

Also recently an attempt was made to downgrade and also included the information of the spirits to Type 1 being the current Type 2 but that didn't pass, just for those who want to look for more scans there they are.

Regarding spirits. They are not made up of Magic. They are just magical creatures that are born from rumors and legends.

As stated in the Spirit Forest, it completely lacks any magic and continues to exist as a separate reality and home for these spirits. Also Genul which also has NEP thanks to rumors and legends.

These things works as how programs are created using a code except rumors and legends acts as fundamental information for these instead of Data/Formulas/etc.

So spirits are not to be confused with magical creatures, as their entire existence depends on rumors and legends that act as fundamental information and shape all reality that exists and themselves.

By the way, I don't know why I'm explaining this if it's already accepted? Well, maybe to avoid unnecessary yapping.

We have discussed it in the Maou Gakuin thread in the past, I wanna know if it's anything more than that or not.

This thread is not about "adding IM 2" since it's already accepted, It's about "chain-scaling" it to other abilities mainly.

Spirits are rumours and legends, which are things that gets their existence dependant on the information about them being passed from person to person in the form of folklores, tales, religions, etc. The spirits are the legends themselves (they die if the legend is forgotten, and, likewise, are revived/become powerful if the legend is spread out to a significant number of people enough to be considered a legend in the first place. For instance, Lay's mom, who is a spirit, died along with her source because her legend was forgotten, then Anos made her come back by spreading the legend to a crowd), so naturally they would be the information that is being passed from person to person. The fact that even the spirits' own sources are tied to those rumours further cements this being Type 2, since it means the information that is being passed on would exist in reality and be fundamental (after all, the Spirits exist in reality and they are the legend itself, so it follows)

Isn't it the opposite to what you are implying? It's specially said spirits exists even source is destroyed as long as their lore/rumours exist, if they're are dependent on source they should have perished alongside with it, regardless of the rumours which makes them.

According to the lilan, a spirit could resurrect, even if their source was destroyed, as long as their lore still existed.

spirit are lore so they normally can't be killed even if you destroy the source , only way to kill them is to directly affect the lore
