Also, unrelated, but volume 25 slightly edited Ram's beatdown on Rye to specify she outskilled him, rather than purely stat-stomping. Why does Tappei do this 😭
AND ONCE MORE YOU ARE ALL FOOLED

THIS WAS A YENPRESS MISTRANSLATION

(It says violence, not skill, just like in the web novel.)

And I believe I've found another one in Ex3, The Silver Flower Dance of Picoutatte, Section 1: The bolded lines, referring to Kurgan's Demon Cleavers, and when Wilhelm defeated Theresia respectively, were combined into one and misattribute Wilhelm's feat to Kurgan:

Yenpress:
“You just keep talking. I’m going to beat you… Eight-Arms Kurgan.”

“Then I shall give your name to the child I bear by your princess— Sword Devil, Wilhelm.”

The seven great arms held the huge blades, “Devil Cleavers.” Kurgan, whose technique had repelled even the Sword Saint, prepared for battle, his whole body overflowing with a warrior’s aura.

The endless frenzied combat, the life-and-death fight, the duel between the Sword Devil and Eight-Arms…

The Silver Flower Dance of Pictat: the deadly duel that would be known throughout the land.

Its beginning and its conclusion would form another chapter in the Love Ballad of the Sword Devil, the tale of that young man and woman.

Hmmmm
Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius (Roswaal is a genius Magician, the likes of which will never be seen again, who possesses affinity for every element and is capable of using all forms of Magic. Despite only being taught four Magical elements, on his own he learned not only the other two elements, but also how to combine them into the rainbow element. He can use Threefold Magic: simultaneously casting three different spells at once, an insane technique that all but requires three brains to accomplish — and even that is not the true limits of his potential, as he can use Sixfold Magic which requires six brains to materialize. He successfully achieved Soul Transference, a technique, which takes everything that makes up a person; soul, memories, experiences, elemental character, and destiny, and prints it over another soul — this requires Magical genius and tenacity beyond the ability of mortals. When attacked with an invisible spell cast out of sync with the caster's gaze and breathing, with a feint added for good measure, Roswaal easily pinpointed and neutralized the spell with a flick of his toes, rewriting the spell's composition with his Gate — a feat devoid of sanity. He is capable of using Flying Magic while casting numerous high-class spells, an intricate feat akin to one using their right arm to draw and their left arm to compose a song, while also using their mouth to recite verses of poetry and using their eyes and brain to decipher an unknown language. His inhuman Magical skill allowed him to copy Al Clauzeria, a spell which normally requires the efforts of six Spirits to balance the usage of all six elements, doing so with just his one Gate. He also copied Balleroy's original invisible Magic bullet spell in the middle of combat with the Divine General while he was too far for Roswaal to properly see. He was able to send huge Magical attacks towards the Imperial Capital by having them travel above the clouds before being fired towards the Crystal Palace, a feat more difficult than tossing a stone above the clouds and hitting a target several kilometers away without using one's hands)

It is interesting I think how "Time-Stop" is just a completely different power depending on who's using it, in Re:Zero.

Satella's timestop? Literally just DIO's The World. Beatrice's timestop? Projectiles that instantly shatter whatever they hit. Regulus' timestop? Complete invincibility and immutability.

EMM is also described as a timestop only in volume 25, and not prior to volume 19. Which is either a humorous inconsistency or Beatrice being KO'd literally made the Regulus fight 10x harder— in volume 17 Subaru identifies Regulus' Authority as, defensively, a "permanent EMM"... so does Subaru just not know that EMM is timestop, hence him spending volume 19 trying to figure out Lion's Heart?

Pretty much my opinion, personally I lean more towards arc 6 as my favorite, though I can see why arc 4 is other people's favorite.

Arc 7 can't be separated from 8, but taking them as being different, arc 7 has its issues, but is by no means bad, imo Re Zero doesn't have a bad arc.

I guess my ratings would be something like 6>4>5>/=8>3>7>2>1.

If someone here wants to use info from my blog, and these other blogs off site, while giving credit of course, go ahead, saves us a lot of trouble of having to compile all the feats.

This feat is genuinely amazing in terms of spatial awareness, I am also noticing a trend here with lesser characters like Elsa needing to sense somethings to get the spatio-dimensions of a structure and Wilhelm/Cecilus being acutely aware of everything in a given area (This probably means we can use this in the skill blog as it seems consistent)
With the intuition of every nerve in her body at once being focused and alert, she can use the sounds of other's footsteps and breathing to approximate the size of a building she hasn't seen from the outside before
In response to the earlier conversation, Nora was absorbed in knitting and thinking. She had not noticed, but there have been frequent signs of people coming and going in front of the room since a few minutes ago.

Elsa: [――――]

With every nerve in her body on edge, Elsa focused her attention on those signs of people coming and going.

The sound of footsteps and breathing could be heard. Multiple signs caused her skin to tingle with wariness. The echoes of footsteps and the number of people milling about gave her an idea of the approximate size of the building.

It was a big building in its own right. Although not quite as grand as Igor's mansion, the architectural style of the atmosphere was quite close. Perhaps it was Viktor's mansion.

If he opened up his mansion to the fiefdom and used it as a base of operations, it made sense given his character. The robustness of the building could not be compared to that of an ordinary house. ――Though it would be all the same if they were forced into a corner.- Red Snowfall on the Orcos Domain, Part 2

Pris can also see souls, interesting

Doing so by seeing her soul itself

The problem was――,

Yorna: [――Wait.]

Priscilla’s words were deterred by Yorna herself, who had been unexpectedly singled out by her. She closed her eyes for a moment, and erased the apparent turmoil from her expression,

Yorna: [I was a little surprised, but that is an unacceptable statement. Why do you think I am your mother…]

Priscilla: [Stop making up trifling evasions. If you plan to trick me, you must change your soul. No matter how you change your appearance, you cannot deceive my scarlet eyes.]

Yorna: [――Hk.]

Yorna’s expression of feigned calm once again stiffened at Priscilla’s decisive response.

Priscilla’s language was conceptual and, in addition, held no intention to compromise with others. This made it hard to take in the exact meaning of what was said, but it seemed to have been fatal to Yorna.

Yorna was clearly flustered by Priscilla’s gaze and the sharpness of her tongue.

However, Yorna wasn’t the only one who showed strong turmoil on this occasion――,- Arc 7, Chapter 79
Layered Invisibility detection for Eugard and Cecilus

The King of Thorns can spot even Halibel

In front of Eugard, the person who answered was Halibel, whose body had been severed into left and right parts right down the middle. Eugard blinked slowly at Halibel’s body, as each half gradually parted from the other.

Eugard: [That is a surprise. That thou hath yet to perish even in that state, is it perhaps beyond the final destination for those who train themselves to the extreme?]

Halibel: [That’s quite the amusing evaluation. But that ain’t it. ――It just ain’t my real body.]

Just as Halibel laughed playfully, the left and right parts of his body instantly collapsed, and a large amount of black fur fell on the spot.

Drawing attention to such an unrealistic scene, behind Eugard――,

Eugard: [Do not heedlessly sneak upon mine back. It shall not be pardoned for any other than Mine Star.]

Halibel: [Heh, now ain’t that quite the big deal.]

On the opposite side of his collapsed clone, Halibel’s body was cut in half by a slash from Eugard’s right arm―― by the Yang Sword that was held there once again.

However, the bisected upper and lower body that immediately burst into flames was not the main body either.

Having just dealt with the sudden attack to his back, Eugard exclaimed “Ngh” in surprise as his body abruptly sank down.

The cause was a third Halibel, who had grabbed him by both of his legs and dragged him down into the street. Halibel slipped out of the ground, and swapped positions with Eugard who was thus buried up to his waist. It would have been ideal to bury him up to his neck to restrict his movements, but,

Halibel: [It ain’t gonna go so swimmingly, as expected.]

The third Halibel grumbled and was torn to shreds above the burning remains of the second Halibel.

With vertical, horizontal, and diagonal slashes, he made cuts in a grid pattern and blew the pieces of the body apart; having also cut the ground into pieces with those slashes, Eugard jumped out.- Arc 8, Chapter 49
Cecilus can do the same

Straightening his bent body, Cecilus shook the dust from his hair that had been touching the floor. And placing a hand on the sword at his waist, then turning back with a dance-like move,

Cecilus: “Hey, Halibel-san. What do you think?”

Halibel: “―――What, it’s disgraceful that you’ve found me while I was keepin’ quiet, and ya were bein’ so unashamed.”

On the castle’s―― on Pandemonium’s balcony, underneath the light of the moon with the sky overhead, from the shadows the beastman shinobi appeared.

Having been detected, Halibel scratched his head, and approached Cecilus, the latter’s face undaunted.- Wrath IF – Re: Drowning Life in Another World From Zero
I dont remember if Acrobatics is on garfs page but this is true
Garfiel, like Dragon Ball fighters such as Kakunsa (Herself cat-themed funny enough.), can constantly bounce off walls to attack from unexpected directions

Instead of thoughtlessly joining the fray, Garfiel zigzagged toward the towering man at high speed.

Unlike Wilhelm, who had charged straight at his enemy, Garfiel was using the walls of the buildings surrounding to move in three dimensions, and attack from an unconventional angle.

If he tried anything less, his claws and fangs would never reach the enemy. That was simply how great this legendary foe was.- Volume 19, Prologue page 15
He does this again in the Pristella watchtower, this time with the floor as well

An explosive chain of attacks was exchanged as their brawl continued inside a tower too small to host their battle.

The back-and-forth offense and defense was devastating. Just like in the plaza, there were demi-beasts lying in wait inside the tower, but they had no hope of breaking through the storm of destruction.

Kicking the floor and walls alike, Garfiel used the whole inte-rior of the tower to assault Kurgan from every direction. Mean-while, Kurgan stood firm and unmoving, deflecting the claws and fangs flying at his hardened body while steadily returning powerful attacks.- Volume 20, Prologue page 7
OOOKay precision for Julius and people he is comparable to
Julius can do the same using air blankets as platforms, also able to twist in mid-air and precisely sever tendons

Subaru: [Julius! It’s that girl! Seize her!]

Subaru shouted, pointing to the fake Ryuzu in the air, before they had even landed on the ground.

Hearing Subaru’s request, Julius also spotted the girl blending into the night sky. Leaving all questions about who or what she was doing behind, the Finest jumped into action.

Dropping Subaru on the soft soil beneath his feet, Julius’s body was enveloped in the remnants of the blanket of wind, using it as a foothold to leap through the air and advance towards the fake Ryuzu in a straight line.

Because of his extraordinary momentum, the fake Ryuzu also recognized him as a threat.

That instant, he realized that the eyes of the fake Ryuzu shone a brilliant golden radiance even at night, and understood that she was a pale-skinned undead, something he had not been able to recognize from a distance.

Without any delay, the fake Ryuzu directed her hand towards Julius, and as she was about to unleash an abominable white light at Julius――,

Julius: [――In, Ness, lend me your strength.]

A white light, different to the one alight on the fake Ryuzu’s fingertips, made Julius’s whole body faintly luminescent, and in turn, a black light faintly enveloped the fake Ryuzu’s whole body.

The moment it became clear that Yang Magic and Yin Magic were being simultaneously employed by the two Quasi Spirits respectively, Julius’s sword flashed, and the strength drained from the fake Ryuzu’s arm, which had been housing light.

Fake Ryuzu: [Explanation: Required.]

Julius: [I cut the tendon in your shoulder. Of course, it will likely reconnect soon…]

Julius sincerely replied to the fake Ryuzu, who asked the reason for the lack of strength in her arm. At the end of his answer, Julius twisted in mid-air, and his long, howling leg struck the floating girl, knocking her body to the ground.

At the spot where the fake Ryuzu fell, the ground transformed together with a yellow light. The ground, which had become viscous, softly and deeply received the girl’s body, and then hardened all at once.

As a result, the fake Ryuzu was stuck, as if wrapped in a quilt made of stone.

Julius: [I recommend you do not resist. If you fail to heed this warning, I will treat you as an enemy, be you alive or dead.]

Fake Ryuzu: [――――]

His sword thrust before the fake Ryuzu, who lay on her back atop the ground, Julius declared.- Arc 8, Chapter 19
This is from the LN and damn i would love to see this animated (I bet they will use their garfiel x kurgan budget on this scene)
Reid can drag someone along a wall with one leg while running with the other like he's a Looney Toon

In an instant, Batenkaitos, who approached with his mouth wide open, violently shifted to the side. Reid's right foot was sticking out haphazardly, his kick catching Batenkaitos right in the torso, slamming him straight into the wall with terrific force.

"Gheh..."

"Keep that strangled chicken croak to yourself. At least when you strangle a chicken the meat tastes good, but you're not even food. Whatever that crap about gluttony was about."

"Giiagh!"

"You're the one jumpin' at a grown man. You better be ready for an ass-kickin!"

Reid's leg pushed Batenkaitos's body against the wall, and he started running down the icy passage at a speed unbelievable for a person doing it on a single leg.

Of course, Batenkaitos couldn't do anything to resist as he got dragged along the uneven surface of the ice. The damage must have been massive. Just devastating.

"Giigaaaaaaa!"

"Oy, oy, don't start whining after this much. If that's all it takes, then what's the point? It ain't over yet. In my day, this wouldn't even count as child's play. Kids these days aren't just dirty. They ain't got no substance, either. Oy, you listening?!"

Sounding bored, Reid stopped moving and quickly turned around.

A backward spinning kick with his left leg slammed home force-fully into Batenkaitos's side, sending his small frame blasting away like a rubber ball.

He bounced against the floor at an absurd speed, unable to stop himself. Spinning at high speed and spraying blood, the Archbishop passed between Emilia and Julius, past Subaru and Beatrice, and rolled farther down the passage.

There was no trace of his energy from moments before as he lay sprawled out, facedown on the floor.- Volume 24, Chapter 4 pages 140-141
I am gonna add this to Subaru and Beatrice's arc 8 key under optional equipment hahahahahhahahhahahahahahah
Similarly impressively, Beatrice was able to react enough to use the final Al Shamak of the arc to bring back the Magic Crystal Cannon blast by the time the star was in the sky (Not really uber relevant, just something neat to mention I guess.)

――The authentic trump card of Natsuki Subaru and Beatrice.

The Magic Crystal Cannon’s fire of obliteration, sent into another space by Al Shamak, was returned to this space by a subsequent Al Shamak, shooting down the starlight that was supposed to mark the demise of the Fortified City.

With the assistance of Cecilus and Halibel, that trump card had remained unutilized for the purpose of slaying the Blight Dragon, and instead, it was employed to defeat the final measure prepared by the Witch to perturb them.- Arc 8, Chapter 71
Why does the most popular character of arc 7 not have a profile

Despite prior interactions, Subaru's aura sensing and general ability to intuit the capabilities of friend and foe, Subaru's sixth sense (More on that later.) couldn't detect his latest axe-snipe

Subaru: [Hang on, worst-case scenario, we escape the country to Lugunica with the two of them in tow. And then, we could grant them the successful merchant life that Otto couldn’t achieve. That’s also a possibility…]

Flop: [Heyyy, Husband-kun? Are you alright?]

Flop waved his hand in front of the deep-in-thought Subaru, checking on his well-being.

Subaru scratched his head, replying to Flop with a “My bad”. It was just a thought, but he felt that it was not a bad proposal.

He felt bad that Flop had gone out of his way to show him the way here but――,

Subaru: [Hey, Flop-san? Medium-san and you, there’s a favour I――]

It was at the moment he tried to say “want to ask of you two“.

???: [――――]

――Somewhere, something faintly hard-sounding reverberated.- Arc 7, Chapter 16
Baki reference???
Without needing to actually even blitz him, she can slip past a watchman by exploiting the 0.5 second lapses in consciousness we all experience (Given even the most random fodder like Subaru have instinctive reactions as we'll explore in great detail, Elsa and those on her level would actually be doing this twice-over. Speaking of which, put a pin in that for now, especially if it reminds you of Baki; We'll be very much returning to that comparison later.)

Even at night, which served as a symbol of serenity, the Kingdom of Gusteko was disconnected from the concept of stillness.

Outside the building, heavy snow blew violently in a storm, and thick, fast clouds overlooked the land endlessly. With both visibility and sound so hectic, it was possible to have the silence submit.

――Hence, it was easy for Elsa to slip out of the building, even if it had a watchman standing guard.

The likes of impaired arms were no problem whatsoever for an agent like herself.

Elsa opened the door to her assigned room and majestically slipped through the corridor in which the guard was standing. If she lurked in the gaps between consciousnesses and slipped past the watchful eye at a quick pace, she would not be caught.

Without making a sound, even leaving her shadow behind, she easily left the building; as expected, the building standing amidst the snow was the mansion of Viktor Orcos, located in the innermost place of the Orcos Domain.- Red Snowfall on the Orcos Domain, Part 2
She also does something similar in Greed IF, albeit probably not quite literally this time due to being so far away, like Izmail also being able to redirect her attack's trajectory mid-swing to protect Meili

Roswaal: [You’re quite demanding in how you use people. But, I truly, truly admire your willingness to use whatever is avaaailable~ to you.]

Subaru: [Tch. Stop with the unnecessary――]

He was about to tell Roswaal to hold his tongue, but his words were abruptly cut off.

The reason was Elsa, who had rushed up the trunk of a tree and leapt toward him, landing right in front of Subaru.

Subaru: [――――]

Elsa’s sense of timing was commendable, exploiting the brief moment of distraction caused by his conversation with Roswaal. This development caught Subaru off guard, as it was something he had not yet experienced.

Therefore, it was purely by chance that Subaru thrust Meili into the path of Elsa’s blade.

Had Elsa not possessed such superhuman capabilities, she might have cut through Subaru’s torso along with Meili. But, she was endowed with prodigious abilities.

Which, had allowed her to stop her blade the moment she realized it would kill Meili.

Subaru: [You really do care about your family. ――It makes me want to puke.]

Suspended in midair, Elsa was kicked away by Subaru, who spoke with disdain.

Elsa’s body slowly tilted backward and fell, plummeting straight down without any means of protection. She descended into the midst of the swarm of Witchbeasts, eagerly clicking their fangs and licking their lips at their prey.

She fell, completely helpless to stop it――,

Elsa: [――You’re despicable.]

Subaru: [I know.]

Once more, Elsa spat out an insult uncharacteristic of herself.

It was uncertain whether Subaru’s reply had reached Elsa’s ears. There was no time to confirm, as she was immediately engulfed by the swarm of Great Rabbits, biting into her from every direction.- Greed IF - Re: Kasaneru IF (Blu-Ray Special Version), Chapter 2
Subaru has mana sense? I guess everyone has it then
During his time in the Re:Zero world, Subaru's developed an intuition of the capabilities of those he encounters, able quickly able to determine both the nature of Vincent's Concealment and his general level of ability along with apparently being able to sense his mana presence, despite this being there first meeting and having been just snuck by him

"How dare you! Your eyes have almost convinced me that I should suspect you of being an assassin again."

"Don't decide people's jobs from looking at their eyes! And my role is the exact opposite of an assassin. I'm not an attacker. If any-thing, I'm a protector."

The masked man was still watching him carefully, still on guard, with his sword pointed at Subaru.

While delivering this dubious answer, Subaru looked at the man's equipment and then at the bag placed behind him and furrowed his brow.

The man didn't look prepared for camping and traveling in the jungle. And the bag behind him-it looked like it had appeared out of nowhere, just like the masked man.

Finally, there was the masked man's weapon. It was obvious he did not have a bow or arrows.

"...I guess you aren't the hunter."

"Hunter?"

"Just talking to myself. Incidentally, though... You wouldn't hap-pen to be able to teleport or make yourself invisible, would you?"

"Oh?"

The eyes peering through the man's mask lit up at that question.

It wasn't a sign of anger or him giving up on Subaru, though. His interest had been sparked.

"How did you come to such a conclusion? Speak your reason."

"...I was cautious in approaching this place. Of course, I know there are plenty of people who can move undetected around me, but you aren't one of them."

"Why not?"

"I hope it won't annoy you if I say this, but I've had lots of oppor-tunities to stumble across powerful people or what you might call superhumans. And compared to those guys who can casually defy com-mon sense, the feeling I get from you is...well, normal."

That sort of comment would definitely anger a warrior of a certain level. But Subaru was simply being honest about his impression of the stranger. The air about the man in front of him convinced Subaru that he knew his way around a sword, but only to the degree of a normal person who had a normal amount of training.

Compared to Reinhard, Garfiel, Wilhelm, and Julius, there wasn't much to say except that he was clearly inferior to them.

"That's why I ruled out you maneuvering behind me before I even noticed. Which leaves only teleporting behind me, or else..."

"Using concealment to make myself invisible, I see."

"Ngh!?"

The man standing in front of Subaru suddenly disappeared.

But that wasn't the only surprise.

"You disappeared...but you're still in front of me?"

"Correct. Concealment does not hide my presence."

To answer Subaru's question, the masked man appeared again, exactly as he'd been before.

He hadn't gone anywhere, he had just become invisible. And he'd returned the moment he answered Subaru's question.

"So it comes undone when someone touches you or notices you?"

"It is still the perfect tool for waiting quietly and hiding," the man said, before lowering his sword and nodding toward the campsite.- Volume 26, Chapter 1 pages 47-49

Should be added to Priscilla, it seems she also has a lesser form of godly intuition
Even more notably than him, Priscilla at some point also figured out Al's Authority outright and even Return By Death

Embracing Priscilla from behind, his voice trembling to an extent that it was clear that his face was contorting within his helmet, he tightly, tightly held onto her with his single right arm.

So as to not relinquish Priscilla, being killed by the slow, unhalted rise of the morning sun.

Al: [No, no, you’re wrong, Princess, this sorta thing… B-BRO!!]

Subaru: [――! Right. Right, you’re wrong, you’re mistaken. Just wait, Priscilla, I’ll…]

At Al’s quavering appeal, Subaru suddenly lifted his head and shifted his gaze towards the banister.

The Great Disaster having come to a close, he had ended up spitting out the package of poison which he had kept behind his molar. So if he were to choose a method to redo things immediately, jumping off of the rampart would be the fastest――,

Priscilla: [Cease.]

Subaru: [Why would I cease!? I have no reason to do that! This sort of thing, for me…!]

Priscilla: [――Cease, Natsuki Subaru.]

Just as he was about to jump over the railing, throwing himself over the edge, Subaru was held back by a voice. But, paying no heed to that, Subaru had fully settled his mind to proceed, to challenge the Great Disaster once more.

And despite that――,

Priscilla: [The Authorities held by yourself and Al may possess the power to warp even the laws of fate. But, you ought to remember this. Regardless of what use you make of your powers and prayers, there are some who desire that things remain unchanged.]

Subaru: [What… What, the hell do you think you’re saying? This… this isn’t the time for that! Right now I need to――]

Priscilla: [Natsuki Subaru.]

As Subaru grit his teeth, the nails of his hands upon the railing chipped off, blood streaming down.

He ought to just ignore everything and anything that Priscilla was saying, and jump. Indeed, having expended his life time and time again against the Great Disaster, as one who had seized victory for the Empire, Subaru’s heart was screaming.

But, perhaps he ought to be strong enough to brush that outcry to the wayside, and listen to what Priscilla had to say.

As Subaru arrested all movement due to the clash within him, his cold logic at odds with his emotions, Al screamed out with a “Bro!”. Holding onto Priscilla as to absolutely never let go, trembling like a child throwing a tantrum,

Al: [Bro! Please… Please!! Don’t listen to anything! You don’t need to listen to her! Do it! Save the Princess… Save Priscilla!!]

Priscilla: [Aldebaran.]

Al: [――Hk, stop, stop it, Priscilla! I ain’t gonna listen!]

Shrieking in sorrow, Al was called to by Priscilla as he implored Subaru, the former shaking his head in denial.

As she softly caressed his neck, Priscilla called Al by a name that Subaru was familiar with; however, this was his first time hearing it being used in regards to Al.

Being embraced tightly from behind, caressing the neck of the man behind her, it held the impression akin to that of a painting―― as something so fleeting that it would not remain a reality for long, a painting was the exact impression it gave.

Priscilla: [The two of you have saved the Empire. Of course, there were others who also fought valiantly. Yet, there exists not a single other person who has expended anything on the realm you two have. I bestow mine praise upon that.]

Thus, with a smile so beautiful as to reach unpleasantness, Priscilla continued.

Subaru’s appeals, Al’s screams, neither of them had been able to stop Priscilla’s gently recited words.

Those crimson lips, as if burning away the impressions of Priscilla that had persisted in him until now, as if to sear in that she had always been that way from the start, scorched their hearts with a flame known as convenient, rapturous beauty.

Priscilla: [The both of you have arrived at this junction by doing so many a time, this I know. Never placing yourselves above others, you have lived ‘til today. Hence, it may be that neither of you has ever received due recompense. I shall thus bestow that upon you.]

Saying that, within Priscilla’s crimson eyes, opened anew, Subaru was reflected.

Then――,

Priscilla: [――It was a great service, Natsuki Subaru. Thou art a true Knight.]- Arc 8, Curtain's Close
Her intuition has never been wrong in all the time Al has spent with her

"You say that...Heaven...has chosen you...?

"But of course. After all, nothing happens in this world that is does not benefit me. Furthermore, 'tis I who is worthy of becoming king, and no other. You need only bow before me and serve."

Everyone was agape at her insolent declaration. The only one unaf-fected by her haughtiness was the man who called the girl his master.

"Princess, what's your basis for all that?"

" 'Tis very simple. Serving me simply means siding with the winner. You may have anything you desire; I allow it. But I shall not permit you to serve anyone else. That is all."

Priscilla brushed her orange hair back, raising her hand in a lofty wave toward the heavens. It was a gesture that meant I have said all there is to say. With that, she turned her back to the Council of Elders on the dais and walked away. Before turning his back to fol-low, her knight looked up at the dais and said, "You might not like how she says it, but Princess is right on the money. If she wants something so long as she doesn't change her mind, she gets it. -That's because the heavens themselves have chosen Priscilla. I'm sure you've heard how the old... Er, Mr. Lyp's lands have bounced back lately?"

Al sent a meaningful look in Marcus's direction.

"We have already confirmed this for ourselves. Following the passing of Mr. Lyp Bariel, Lady Priscilla took control of policy within his lands...resulting in the region's unprecedented prosperity."

"Well, don't mistake that as us working hard for the sake of everyone else or something, okay? Priscilla's guesses are always on the mark like she's a natural. She's just right about everything, no ifs, ands or buts."- Volume 4, Chapter 4 pages 149-150
Said intuition let her casually deduce the truth of Al and Subaru's otherworldly claims

Priscilla's haughty behavior shattered the gloomy silence that fell over the carriage.

"You two men and your glum faces are dulling the luster of my dragon carriage. From what I have heard, 'tis all trifling issues of the past. Even those clownish tall tales about your homeland beyond the Great Waterfalls make for a more amusing conversation for me."

"Beyond the Great Waterfalls...?"

"Do you not know? At the ends of the maps of the continent, the land ceases at the four corners of the world, with all washed away by great cascades of water-in other words, the Great Waterfalls. From time to time, there are rumors of people who have come from beyond them, such as you and Al. Most are simple nonsense... But Al is different."

"-! Why do you think that? Do you have some kind of concrete reason to think...?"

"-Intuition."

It wasn't what Subaru expected, but the response fit Priscilla perfectly.- Volume 4, Chapter 3 pages 98-99
Even as a child she was able to intuit Yorna's First-Class appointment

Emilia: [――? Yorna is Priscilla’s mother?]

Emilia tilted her head curiously, and as soon as a different sound for “mother” came forth from her, “Dear Mother” and “mother” connected, and she understood the essence of “Dear Mother” and “mother”.

Controlling the fluttering sensation in his own head, Otto compared the two people who had his attention ― Yorna and Priscilla. Yorna who was staring at her, unable to move, and Priscilla who was looking at the former with a calm expression.

They had different hair and eye colors, and they were of different races to begin with.

Of course, in the case of mixed blood, there were individual differences in which the blood of a parent was stronger, but Priscilla and Yorna had no similarities in appearance.

If one could say so, they both had lustrous good looks but――,

Otto: [If we treated people like family at that level, the world would be full of big families.]

Concluding this, Otto held his confusion in check.

Still, hearing about Priscilla and Yorna’s relationship made some sense. ――Priscilla’s stern attitude and personality certainly gave off a strong sense of imperial style.

Priscilla: [I can feel the unpleasant eyes that are fixed on mineself, but that is okay.]

Otto gasped at the warning look in Priscilla’s eyes, reading the intent of her gaze. Leaving Otto aside, Priscilla looked at Emilia and said,

Priscilla: [Half-devil, it is as you say. To think that she had become one of the “Nine Divine Generals”. Since I was a child I supposed so, but how strange it is.]

Emilia: [Well, I’m surprised. But now that you mention it, I guess you both look a lot alike.]

Priscilla supported her chin with the fan in her hand, and Emilia nodded in reply.

Just before, Otto had denied to himself any similarities in external appearance between the two, so while Emilia’s unexpected judgment worried him, he had set that aside for the time being.

The problem was――,- Arc 7, Chapter 79

I call Subaru patrick!

From their erased Arc 7 experiences, he could intuit the exact angle to his head at which Todd would attack

Subaru: [Why…!]

Todd: [Don’t speak so hypocritically. You averted this just now because you also had a slight hunch. It’s not like you reacted to my intent to kill, you were just wary the whole time, right?]

Todd closed his bloodshot right eye as Subaru spoke with a trembling voice.

With a face that seemed like he was dealing with an unreasonable child, Todd’s gaze fell on the axe floating in the air―― or that was how it would have appeared to him as the weapon was grabbed by a black hand.

In Subaru’s mind, the axe was synonymous with Todd.

Subaru had experienced being struck in the head with Todd’s axe more than once or twice. Even though he had taken it away from Todd’s hand, just seeing it at the corner of his vision was enough to make Subaru’s teeth grind in unease.

Todd had hit the nail on the head. Subaru had been wary of him all along.

So, once he had turned his back on the injured Todd, Subaru had activated Invisible Providence to protect his head, as that would have been the surest way to kill him in case he was targeted.

However, he had certainly not wished for it to happen.

Nothing that occurred should have ever happened.

In that case――,- Arc 8, Chapter 6
Which he could also do without Invisible Providence's help

Furthermore, getting attacked at this place and at this very moment, was beyond his expectations as well.

Subaru: [Flop-san! I’ll bring you somewhere to treat that straight away!]

Holding various regrets and remorse, Subaru rushed to Flop’s side. Flop was writhing in agony from the pain in his leg but Subaru did not have the time to treat him right now.

He had to lend his shoulder and take him to someplace with people――No, he could not let the situation develop like it had before, at the time he had perished after being run over at the main road. Even if he had to be forceful, he had to drag him to the bar. That was the best option.

The fact that the knife had struck his leg was a silver lining. Because, as long as a major artery was not pierced, there would be no real danger to his life――,

Subaru: [――――]

His thought process leading him here, a question abruptly appeared in Subaru’s mind.

It was good news that Flop’s life was not in danger. Yet, how was that so? Seeing the method in which the massacre at the bar was conducted, the enemy’s skill in killing was first-rate.

In spite of that, the attack against Flop ended at his legs. Why was that?

This was knowledge from manga but, this information was about a technique used by snipers in battle.

Snipers, who would hide themselves to perform one-sided attacks against faraway opponents, when faced with a group of enemies, would purposely not kill their opponent and instead stay their hand after majorly injuring them. Then, they would lure out the ones who would try to rescue their injured comrades and strive to extend their hands of death towards them.

It was a nightmarish method that took advantage of those who had a sense of fellowship, of those who could leave no man behind.

Why did he remember something like this at this moment? That was because――,

Subaru: [Shi――]

The instant that he felt something was wrong, a dark light flashed in the alley next to the fallen Flop.

Immediately after, a sharp, frontal strike smacked and blew Subaru away, who preemptively threw his hands up in an effort to protect his head.

Subaru: [Gaahh!?]

Eating the hard strike completely, the blown-away Subaru hit the back of his head hard on the ground. His vision went white and the ringing in his ears became loud again. While that was happening, he was pushed further back with momentum, rolling over once.

Subaru tried to discern the true form of the strike, and the distance from which it was launched. Unable to completely block the strike, he stretched his hand to his forehead, where he felt a warm sensation. It was likely that his forehead was cut from the hard strike and――,

Subaru: [――ah?]

His right hand, which he attempted to use to touch his forehead had been blown off at the forearm onwards, between wrist and elbow.

Subaru: [G-gyaaaaaaahhhh!]

His right arm, which showed its jagged crosscut with white bone and pink muscle fibres, pumped blood out energetically in sync with his heartbeat. Panicked, he tried to stop the flowing blood by putting pressure on the wound, but the palm of his left hand was also cut down the middle, his crushed fingers each all facing a different direction.

It was proof that he had unfashionably suffered an attack from the opponent.

First of all, if he were to say that, running to Flop’s side without any precaution had been a mistake.

Mistake, mistake, mistakemistakemistakemistakemissmissmissmissmiss――,

???: [――Ahem]

Holding the overflowing blood, Subaru fell into panic, triggered by pain and a sense of loss.

A man holding an axe in one hand cleared his throat in front of that Subaru――He was a figure that appeared from the alley. A young adult who tied up his orange hair with a bandana. It was Todd.- Arc 7, Chapter 18
In five deaths and the same amount of combat interactions overall, Subaru gained a pretty good grasp of the way Todd fought and thought

Flop: [――Husband-kun, it’s no good to have a scowl on your face.]

Subaru: [――hk]

Flop: [Good fortune won’t come to anyone who doesn’t have the time to… Wha-what’s the matter? Your face has suddenly gone pale?]

Upon seeing an axe coming down right on their head, surely most people’s faces would be drained of blood.

Without thinking, Subaru put his hands to his own face, cold from the lack of blood. Relief and fear churned within him, as the hands that felt that coldness confirmed the truth that he was alive and well.

Subaru: [Damn it, again…]

What should he do? Subaru did not possess even the slightest idea.

In regard to time, all the events that had happened to Subaru had transpired in only twenty minutes. Within those twenty minutes, Subaru had already lost his life five times.

Even during the last round at the Pleiades Watchtower, he had piled up over fifteen experiences of Deaths in search of victory, but then, there was confidence that progress was being made step-by-step.

But this time, he had nothing.

The corpses of Natsuki Subaru had accumulated, but he did not really feel they were contributing to his victory.

If there was one thing that could be said, it was――,

Subaru: [――Even now, I’m being watched.]

Already, Todd was observing Subaru with Flop.

Consequently, the moment he separated from Flop, Todd would mercilessly use Flop as bait.

It would be a different story if Subaru had the ruthlessness to be able to use Flop as a decoy, but since he could not do that, if Flop were assaulted, Subaru would put forth every effort to save him.

This was different from the time he had weighed the safety of Rem against the welfare of Todd and company.

Flop had been kind to utter strangers, or rather, to Subaru’s group. Subaru did not have it in him to choose an option that would leave him for dead.

So, carrying out a strategy on his own apart from Flop was impossible.

Simultaneously, the option for Subaru to return to the inn had also been snatched away.

It was not clear at what point in time Todd had noticed Subaru’s presence, but if he had been discovered on the way to the tavern, the location of the inn, Rem’s whereabouts, had not been exposed.

Yes, Rem’s location had not been found out. That was quite believable.

Supposing Rem’s whereabouts had been found out, Todd would be sure to make use of Rem, and utilize her in order to kill Subaru more systematically. It was ironic that his faith in Todd’s cunning conversely became proof that Rem had not fallen into his hands.

Subaru: [Anyway…]

While biting his lip and covering his face with his hand, Subaru desperately turned his head.

Time, somehow there was not enough time.

If he parted ways with Flop, Todd would begin his offensive immediately.

On the contrary, waiting for his offensive and counter attacking―― Well, he was not the sort of opponent that could be beaten even if his first attack were avoided. Since Subaru had no weapons, he would have to eliminate his opponent’s fighting strength in a single strike. No way.

If they escaped to the main street, Todd would recklessly drive a dragon carriage and kill by running them over.

Even if they avoided the rampaging dragon carriage, the chances that he would then take advantage of the chaos in the street were high. On top of that, the rampaging dragon carriage would drag in uninvolved bystanders. No way.

If they chose some other route, each and every alley would be his hunting ground.

North, east, south, and west, keeping an eye out in all directions was impossible. Even if they dealt with his first attack, in the end the plan to counterattack would be the same, and their lack of fighting power lay ahead. No way.

Would the best thing to do after all be rush to the Tavern with Flop, and before Todd could get ready to attack the tavern, prepare fighting forces to intercept him?

The obstacle would be how seriously he could take the drunk Rowan, but right now this should be the plan with the highest chance of victory that he could think of. No other move came to mind.

Subaru: [****, ****…]

What a troublesome opponent to have made an enemy of.

In the case of Sin Archbishops, they had the nice point of their reliance on their Authority turning their strengths into weakness. Since by working out the mechanism of their Authority, conversely the weak points of those guys would become evident.

However, Todd did not have that. He would use anything he can. He had stated so himself.

He did not rely on anything, and he did not take damage to the surroundings into consideration either.

After killing Subaru, how on earth he planned to explain that to the people around him, even that was a complete unknown. No consideration had been given to what would come afterward whatsoever.

In order to kill what must be killed, there was a fear of superfluous thoughts interrupting.

Flop: [Husband-kun? You alright? If something’s wrong, going back to the inn would be…]

Subaru: [N-no! Hell no! That’s a bad idea.]

He responded with great force, and Flop stared in wonder at that voice of Subaru’s.

Having done that, Subaru seriously cursed his own mental fragility. If he displayed such odd behavior, Todd would end up becoming suspicious.

If that happened, the valuable advantage of Return by Death would disappear.

Beyond what he had already grasped, the only way Subaru could take advantage of Todd was his preconception that his presence was not known to Subaru.

Ambush and trap, escape and counterattack, whichever means he utilized Todd could not be made aware of what Subaru was aware of.

Well, actually――,

Subaru: [――Wait.]

Suddenly, as Subaru was desperately thinking of countermeasures against Todd, a thought crossed his mind.

Todd did not stick to any one way of doing things, or even take damage to the surrounding into consideration. ――Still, he paid no mind to damage to the surroundings. That was not damage to himself.

Rather, this surprise attack was because he wished to drastically diminish the damage to himself.

Todd had stated it himself, with his own mouth.

You kill a poisonous snake not because you resent it, but because you fear it, he had said.

So he had said, then――,

Subaru: [――TODD! I know you’re here!]

Flop: [Wha wha wha!?]

Abiding by a thought that flashed through his mind, Subaru shouted at the top of his lungs.

Startled, Flop jumped at the sudden occurrence. However, it was more than likely that Flop had not been the only one.

Todd, who had been tailing and keeping a close eye on Subaru and Flop, should have been startled as well.

Counting on Todd’s moment of bewilderment, Subaru sharpened his glare, contorted his expression menacingly. While holding up the nastiest, most evil-looking demeanor possible, he swept his gaze around,

Subaru: [What a persistent bastard! Here I thought you had perished for good after all that went down, but it seems you managed to survive by some devil’s luck! However, don’t think I’ll let you get away this time! I’ll ******* kill you!]

Using the most threatening voice he could muster, Subaru spewed curses imbued with malice and hostility.

In a way his voice would definitely reach Todd no matter where in the alleyway he was hiding, and so that the message “Natsuki Subaru has caught on to your presence” would be conveyed.

Subaru: [Do you seriously think you can win in a fight against me? That’s beyond hilarious! You make me laugh, hahahahaha! Can’t wait to see it again, the pathetic way you look running away, that is!]

Revealing his two trump cards of provocation and mockery, Subaru burst out in laughter at the middle of the alleyway.

“Thank god I don’t have stage fright”, thought Subaru as this was the only time he was sincerely thankful for his shameless personality. If it were not for that, the tremble in his voice, the fear on his face, and the terror in his eyes would have been exposed.

It was thanks to Natsuki Subaru’s lousy personality that he was able to conceal those emotions.

Flop: [H-Husband-kun?]

Subaru: [Shush. Flop-san, be quiet.]

Shutting up Flop who had been completely dumbfounded by Subaru’s sudden change, Subaru pulled him by the arm and began walking brazenly.

Returning via the way they came was not possible. For starters, it had been confirmed Todd’s hiding laid somewhere over there, probably.

Hence, he stopped in the middle of his tracks, and while turning his head toward the depth of the alleyway,

Subaru: [Oh yeah, you’re welcome to come at me any time. I shall rip you to shreds, as you wish.]

He was not sure whether Todd would get it, but he added his middle finger as his last provocation.

Doing so, Subaru was able to hide the pounding of his heartbeat while heading towards the end of the alleyway wearing an audacious smile.

Subaru: [――――]

Honestly, that was a complete gamble.

There was a chance that Todd would become enraged from Subaru’s provocations, and jump into the alleyway whilst swinging his axe, which would not have been a completely unlikely scenario at all. ――However, Subaru trusted that it would not come to pass.

Todd would not go into a fit of rage. That man was the type that would gradually search for the best move in a composed manner and carry it out.

That was why, the bluffs Subaru had been dishing out should be able to work on Todd.

Having spotted Subaru in the street and developed an intent to kill, if Todd’s train of thought were followed, he would have most likely come to the conclusion that Subaru must be eliminated because, to him, Subaru seemed like a ticking time bomb. Choosing a surprise attack as the method to rope in and grasp victory in his hands was just a means to the end, as long as it worked, then all would be well. If that was no longer suitable for execution, he would just move onto the next best option.

Todd had not been particular with his methods.

That was the difference between him and the Sin Archbishops. Subaru would use that adaptability of Todd to his advantage.

Subaru: [Next up is…]

He carried out the strategy that had popped in his head in the heat of the moment, but the next steps had yet to be decided.

If Todd’s caution toward Subaru grew stronger, that would mean spare time until the next wave of attack existed. While the chance was in his hands, Subaru must make a decision between “Fight” or “Flight”.

Choose “Fight”, then it would be necessary to get Rowan from the bar involved. As long as no better alternative showed up, borrowing his strength would be the best bet.

Choose “Flight”, Subaru would have to go to the inn and grab Rem, then escape from the city. He felt bad, but he would have to ask Flop and Medium to come along as their safety were most likely in jeopardy.

Then, in the case that they decide to escape from the city, the place Subaru can go to was――,

Subaru: [――So that was why]

Flop: [Husband-kun?]

Though he stayed on guard of the alleyway behind, but, in that instant, Subaru’s eyes had become bloodshot.

The fear toward Todd, remorse toward Flop, concern toward Rem, affection toward Emilia, longing toward Beatrice, all of those had, more or less, been forgotten in that instant.

Forgotten, having grasped the feeling that had surfaced, Subaru firmly closed his eyes.

Then――,

Subaru: [――We need to get out of Guaral as fast as possible, before my bluffs are seen through.]- Arc 7, Chapter 18
Subaru got good enough at predicting Todd's movement's and strategies that he even foresaw him making it to the top of the front gates and using them to attack from above, despite this being his first time attempting such a thing against him

Gate guard: [Halt――! Halt! Hal… Whoa!?]

Although a gate guard tried to stand in the way in an effort to stop the speeding Falo cart, he ended up leaping to the side in order to avoid it.

The Falo cart did not let up its momentum as it passed the guard, heading for the front gate with Subaru and his companions on board. The cart would zip out of the city at once, whilst throwing the queue for the inspection process into disarray.

What an outrageous situation. Subaru and company had only stayed at Guaral for less than three hours.

However, they managed to drive past the inspection area, and passed through the front gate. Subaru wanted Botecliffe to do her best, since she would need to keep running in order to shake off the group’s pursuer.

And then, he would have to tell Flop and Medium about――,

Subaru: [――――]

Amidst the uncontrollable shaking of the platform, the cart blew past the front gate and exited the city.

Subaru’s field of vision opened up, and he was able to discern the wide plains and the horizon. It was just as the cart was about to finally make its escape.

――When a silhouette plummeted towards Subaru from right above the gates, an axe raised high into the air.

???: [Orghhhh!]

A single strike was swung downwards, descending upon the crown of Subaru’s head as if it were slicing a piece of bamboo in half.

The blow was one that Rem nor Medium, as well as neither Flop nor Louis, were able to react to. It was nightmarish, something that could not be guarded against if it had not been predicted.

However――,

Subaru: [――I knew it.]

Subaru received the axe strike that rained down on him with the machete Medium had dropped on the platform.

Subaru had guessed that the instant he and his companions had succeeded in their escape, the moment where they would let down their guard the most, would be capitalized, and a single blow would be driven into the target――Subaru’s head.

――If it were Todd, that would be what he would do. The horrors Subaru had experienced five times over had assured him of it.

Todd: [I should’ve killed you, after all!]

Subaru: [Ghk…!]

Todd forcefully pressed his axe further with malice gleaming behind his eyes, attempting to split Subaru open.

It was a good thing for Subaru to receive the axe with the machete, but his hands had grown numb from the impact, and it was only a matter of time until he would drop the weapon.

Neither Rem nor Medium would make it in time to the lock of weapons that was placing Subaru’s life on the line.

Even though he had managed to dodge a fatal strike, if things went on like this, he would be killed by To――,- Arc 7, Chapter 18
Through his constant brushes with death like Al, Subaru of all people is, like Emilia in Bonds of Ice, able to aim-dodge Hell's Snipe by pinpointing the precise, barely perceptible moment it's going to be fired and guessing it's velocity

The giant scorpion was the one to fire the first shot of the chaotic struggle.

"-" It's red compound eyes blazed, and a white flash erupted from it's tail that swung upward the next moment.

Subaru had a lot of bad memories involving that deadly flash. Without putting too fine a point on it, he remembered that around half of the fifteen repeated attempts he had gone through in the tower ended because of it.

But after getting killed that many times, he had learned a couple things. For one...

"The sign of an attack, and it's velocity...!"

The compound eyes and the tail, their light increased just slightly the moment before the tail attacked.

It was so minute as to seem like imagination, but Subaru had staked his life several times and had painstakingly won that knowl-edge and that slenderest of lifelines through trial and error.

"Sorry I couldn't live up to your expectations!"

He apologized to the other him who wanted an all-powerful Subaru Natsuki when all he could manage was this crude style of fighting. But in his arms, Beatrice, who was facing the same deadly challenge with him, snorted.- Volume 25, Chapter 4 page 110

Halibel too can go 10 days without sleeping

???: [――Halibel, allow me to take over the lookout duty. You should rest a bit.]

In the dead of night, opposite across the crackling bonfire, Julius called out to the tall wolfman standing amidst the gloomy space.

With black kinagashi overtop his black fur, his attire easily blended in with cover of darkness. That said, a presence taller than two meters would typically not be easily missed. But, as if to make one forget that normalcy, his presence was so thin that it would cause one to doubt if he was really there, evidencing his high level of skill as a shinobi.

If not for the golden kiseru in his mouth reflecting the flame of the bonfire, it would be impossible to tell whether he was there or not, even within an audible range.

But then again, the person in question possessed no intention of hiding himself from Julius. In reality, he responded to Julius’s voice with a “Hmm~?”,

Wolfman: [Tho’ I don’t particularly mind whether we alternate or not? Ya see, I’m perfectly fine goin’ without sleepin’ for ‘bout a week.]

Being given a superhuman reply in such a calm manner, caused Julius to smile.

Woflman: [Why ya smilin’? Ah, did ya maybe think I was jokin’?]

Julius: [No, while there are many aspects to your statements that cause me to doubt my ears, I do not believe they are jokes. If you say that you can go a week without sleeping, then it must be true. However…]- Anastasia's Companion Searching Chronicle 3

Yeah and Reinhard would only game for 7 days before falling, wow tappei real nice scaling there

Did they adapt the depth of Theresia's anguish? Well no. Well did they adapt her self-loathing and dehumanization? Not really. But did they adapt the conflict between herself and the Sword God? They didn't, no. Or did they adapt her duel and the reason she fell for Wilhelm beyond love at first sight? No, they skipped that. But did they make the Pandora scene look cool? Well it was different from what I imagined but YES.

Not too happy with the adaptation but chopping out narration (which made up 80% of this chapter) is standard for the anime. At least I got Theresia gifs out of it. Why the hell did the kingdom tell them to fight the Hakugei in a forest anyway lol

Yeah, I'm not too happy with this episode adaptation wise. but overall it's still a good episode but... it's just such a shame

Overall while it did not adapt everything, I am satisfied with how they made it. Could it have been better? Absolutely, is it still good? Absolutely
I liked that they added on to the pandora scene (does she get sleep/death manipulation now or smth?)
This episode made me want to go back and read Theresia Van Astrea again...

I think Echidna should have two or three separate Keys.

A key for when she was Alive. A key for her Castle of Dreams self. And a key for her as Omega. (Or combine Castle of Dreams with Omega)

Her castle of dreams self can't fight and for now Omega is just extremely vaguely weaker than the original but she'll probably be just as strong as the original next time we see her.

she can be tier 2C in the castle of dreams since she can basically manipulate the environment as she likes iirc
