is social influencing/fear haxxing a win con?

so i was curious on whether social influencing and or fear manip is a win con. specifically a scene in scream where billy and stu are stabbing each other.

i was discussing with a buddy of mine on billy vs stu. and he said billy has influence over stu and/or fear haxes him via this scene. where billy orders stu to give him the knife back and he obeys. and generally in the final act he follows most of billys instructions either out of fear or influencing?? (not sure) with billy having this “influence” on stu be a win con in a fight? (if so how would you argue against it?) also, is this even social influencing?

It's influencing defo not fear hax and whether or not it would work mainly depends on the character.

I would say its relatively situational. Fear is definitely a win con, influencing is also one, but to a much lesser extent.
