Denji's Legsaw Attack was actually foreshadowed in Ch. 32 here, note the cut marks on the ground and how Denji's pant-legs are cut down the middle. Kishibe even specifically compliments Denji's moves, most likely referring to the legsaw attack specifically.

As Denji has to be transformed in order to pull out the legsaws, this means Kishibe had just handed Hybrid Denji's ass to him off panel.

Kishibe being able to do this is supported by Makima calling Angel Special Division's 2nd strongest asset after Kishibe, and the Special Division includes Hybrid Denji.

Correct, but Kishibe's speed wouldn't scale to Denji's human form, but rather his Hybrid Form. His Human Form's speed would stay where it is before it gets downgraded to Long's Bullet Calc since the anime invalidated Angel's Bullet Calc.

Correct, but Kishibe's speed wouldn't scale to Denji's human form, but rather his Hybrid Form. His Human Form's speed would stay where it is before it gets downgraded to Long's Bullet Calc since the anime invalidated Angel's Bullet Calc.

Nah, where Post-Training Denji scales is what we were discussing before life got in the way.

1. Gunshy proposed just ignoring the Kishibe Calc and scaling Hybrid Denji, Katana Man, and anyone in the chain to High Hypersonic+.
2. I disagreed with that, on the basis that if Katana Man was as fast as his Quick Draw move by default, why would he ever use the Quick Draw move.
3. Gunshy replied by saying that moving in a straight line from a farther distance away makes an attack harder to dodge.
4. I absolutely lost my shit and went on a capslocked, text-effects laden rant about why that was the stupidest thing I'd ever heard and why Travel Speed was dumb.
5. Gunshy conceded and proposed downscaling Hybrid Denji (and anyone who speed scales) from it, which would put him at Mach 50.
6. I proposed scaling Hybrid Denji to Kishibe's calc (Mach 20-ish), given how Denji doesn't need to be similarly fast since he knows the Quick Draw's coming before Katana Man does it because Katana Man has to crouch to get it started which gives it away, like Ridley's Grab in Smash Ultimate.
7. Side track to argue about semantics of [At most], and whether Denji having similar stats to Katana Man would ruin how he won by outsmarting a faster opponent.
8. Gunshy points out that the last clash between Denji and Katana show them moving together, so Denji's at least semi-comparable in speed if he puts his leg up in time before Katana Man's Quick Draw reaches him.
9. I point out that the previous panels show that Denji started moving before Katana started moving, so he actually had more time and doesn't need to be comparable in speed.
10. Thread gets postponed.

So the calc references Anime Denji being statue'd, meaning the anime's canon right?

Not exactly from what I know (Although, I am unsure). The anime scene was likely just used as a baseline for the calc, similar to Master Roshi's Moon busting feat in Original Dragon had to used the anime as a of baseline for a speed but still using manga panels in tandem to also get the speed for the manga.
I'm not too sure it's the same case since, unlike Toei and Manga Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z having wild difference, The anime and Manga of chainsaw man seems to greatly align.

Edit: When I say "Baseline," All I mean is guide. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

This is just a minor addition to the page, but note that Fear Scaling only applies to a Devil's physicals, not special abilities. To be more specific, the physicals of a more fearsome Devil do not inherently scale above the special abilities of a less fearsome Devil. There are many cases where special abilities are dramatically stronger than their physicals, such as-

• Bat's Sonic Attack
• Typhoon's Storm
• Angel's Weaponry
• Blood Devil Power's Blood Manipulation
• Weakened Falling's Gravitational Wave
