i do remember something during the ulquiorra fight, that Ichigo didn't want to go all out because his reiatsu would damage Orihime despite her shield and his control and only did so when Uryu was there to protect her.

Orihime have no trouble being near to/being in contact with base starrk who kill hollows without even wanting to with his RC.
