Ben 10 General Discussion Thread

Both Vilgax and Big Chill are shown reacting to the weaponry of certain spacecrafts (a prison guardship for the former and Incursean ships for the latter). If their attack speed scales to their flight speed then you could argue that Big Chill at least should scale to the Incursean ships’ flight speed.
Thanks to the new Ink Tank breakdown I was able to get a tiny bit more context for the Big Chill vs Incurseans fight (I hate having a shoddy memory and not having easy access to clips or episodes, I’m always relying on the wiki’s episode synopsis and gallery pages lol).

One thing that I find very interesting is that neither Ben or Rook were really focusing on where they were going before the Incursean attack as Rook was busy explaining the Gourmands’ biology to Ben. While they were somewhat close to Peptos XI, they weren’t right outside of it or anything, and they also unintentionally crashed into an “asteroid field” that was the remains of a previous Peptos while Rook was explaining the Gourmands. It’s kinda inconsistent how close the Peptos’ are to each other, as some shots shows them being pretty close while different shots either have them pretty spread out or don’t show multiple planets at all. The end of the episode also shows the Gourmands flying deep into space despite some of the planets still being intact so it might just be a weird perspective thing.

I highly doubt that getting hands over a Chronosapien can be any where near as difficult as to get over the single most important artififact in the Universe that has been hidden at places near impossible to approach by professor paradox.

Also his plan was to simply become invincible- but not more than Celestial sapiens obviously. In that case, he could have choosen to get his hands on alternatives if they can provide same kinds of powers. Chronosapiens are masters of time, so there's no shortage of that aspect. God knows what he could have achieved with those time powers making him capable of moving freely across the multiverse. Not to mention having Alpha runs that provides one with limitless life force and power over magic which is, if nothing, a near omnipotent ability (in terms of reality warping, beyond bezel). There would have been no one capable of stopping him either way.

I don't think him finding a chronosapien is the problem, I think it's the trouble of absorbing one for the sole purpose of making life a little easier to becoming invincible., like yeah it's easier but it's not worth the extra hastle when the 5 are all you really need before gaining ultimate power, ben getting involved was never a part of the original plan, neither was them escaping.
(Ben made life easier for him tbf lol).

There's also the fact he can only absorb 1/10th of their power, he had to go through such a hassle to absorb someone completely.

Minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but I was looking around the Ben 10 wiki and found out the crew members fanarts, which included models for versions of aliens that didn't show up in Omniverse (like Albedo, Ben 23, Mad Ben, Benzarro, Gwen 10 and 11 year old Ben versions of aliens that didn't show up), I thought that was neat.

I think it’s cool how Benzarro’s To’kustar and Mechamorph forms are recolours of a Way Bad and first form Malware respectively. It leads to an interesting question on whether his non-Anur system aliens have the same powers or not, as Malware has the opposite powers to Upgrade.

Actually it makes a lot of sense for Benzarro to have Malware as his Mechamorph form from a meta aspect, since he’s loosely based off of the DC character Bizarro who iirc has opposite traits to Superman.

Yeah when I saw that Benzarro's upgrade was first form Malware I was like "oh neat!...oh that also makes sense!"

I'm also glad there's 11 year old version of Frankenstrike and Ghostfreak, the latter is a fun what if and the other is just great to see, especially cause it's at that age that it got renamed to Frankenstrike, so it's weird we never saw it, kinda wish there was an 11 year old Snare-Oh as well since supposedly it was supposed to be the same as his OS design but they never designed one and so used 16 year old Snare-Oh as a stand in for the intro.

I also found out that flashback mutation of Kevin in Omniverse also initially also included Clockwork on it, obviously it was cut cause the events of Ben Again didn't happen, but it would been cool to see.

OV young Ghostfreak weirdly feels kinda naked to me lol, but it’s definitely something cool to see. OV Flashback Kevin 11 with Clockwork’s key sounds cool and I wish we could see it, although that would make him Kevin 12 which is pretty funny.

There's also an alternate 11 year old Ghostfreak design in the comic that it's the same as 16 year old but the chains are grey.

And I mean, he's 12, so Kevin 12 is fitting.

OK this might be peak Ghostfreak. I never had a problem with the green palette in OV but the grey is so much better! I think Derrick’s Ghostfreak makes more sense for pre-Zs’Skayr as the chains are implied to be what’s keeping him from taking control (at least metaphorically), but post-Zs’Skayr Ghostfreak should’ve looked like he does in that comic.

Wait that’s true, the alliteration is gone but Kevin 12 would be more accurate.

Also can I just say that OV Flashback Kevin 11 is super underrated? It makes sense since he only has like 1 minute of screentime, but he’s probably my second favourite Kevin form (OS will always be king).

Oh yeah I agree, not only is it a cool design but it's an fun concept to see Kevin mutating into an amalgam of the additional 10 aliens Ben gained since his mutation, kinda shows how much his and Ben's powers evolved since they first met.

Funny enough it also inspired a future fanfic of mine, although it's not exactly Kevin centric.

It wasn't easier. His enemy was one of most of strongest being in the cosmos. Professor paradox.

Ben held the door open for aggregor and fought the wielder of the alpha ruin allowing Greg to swipe it, paradox didn't do shit till the last minute
It's very funny to say Paradox didn't do a shit when he always has been an all doer tbh.

He always plays what's needed, knowing of how things will turn out. Omniverse kinda shows it straight up.

Also that Ben did mentioned many times that "it doesn't look like map pieces has been kept hidden or are being held in a way Aggregor won't get them- but rather look like it has always been kept there for him". When he noticed how Aggregor was allowed to go to all places pieces were stored in a/o any resistance or security.

i'm referring to specifically the Greg arc, he doesn't help till Greg gets all the pieces.

It was all planned. He never helped, he knew everything.

I headcanon that it's less that Greg was always meant to get them, but that the hiding spots were so bad that greg could get them with no security and paradox is just bad at hiding things
