Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

If Chaos Energy gives everything life in the universe and it is empowered by thoughts and emotions, wouldn’t that make everyone’s mind and soul nondual?
 
Hello I've been lingering about the wiki for a few month's and am considering making a sonic crt and figured this would be the place to review some ideas before trying to implement them. Anyways I'm not sure which of these to touch on specifically so I will just list them as I think of them.

1.) Extrodinary genius for Dr Starline is my first proposal and likely the least controversial of the bunch since he now has some neat feats. Starline has modified Eggman tech like the metal virus, power cores and random junk to either make technology like his hypno glove, upgrade Eggmans stuff in the case of his tricore or alter the metal virus to grant regeneration instead of a second zombot apocalypse. Starline has decent supporting feats as well such as repairing metal sonic, copying Belles code, making functional robot endoskeletons and more.

2.) At least Low 2C ratings for all super forms, world ring transformations, Merlina and Sonic's excaliber form. I don't know what the consensus is on this change but after looking at the super forms scaling I think the At least rating is fitting for two reasons. First and most obviously is the massive upscaling from the base cast which has been stated and showcased multiple times. My personal favorites of these are Eggmans statement that the chaos emralds have unimaginable power, Neo Metal Sonic giving Knuckles and Sonic the Raditz treatment but worse and of course Sonic stomping Zavok in a fraction of a second. Those aside the baseline of super form scaling is considered the phantom king however his Low 2C feat was preformed as a consequence of him existing rather than a conscious effort. Similarly the reality warping feats in secret rings were done just as easily by erasor djinn who with four world rings nuked reality by appearing.

3.) Creating a third page for Sonic to midigate profile clutter. Originally I wanted to pose the idea of a storybook saga page however I think we could kill a few more birds with the same stone by making an adventure or pre modern page. However I'm not sure which game should be the cutoff point for such a thing which is why I consulted you guys.

Anyways thanks for reading the big text blob and ignoring the minor spelling mistakes that no doubt occupy every sentance of what I wrote.

Hard agree on this one. I’ve been thinking the Sonic page is pretty cluttered, especially on mobile. If he did get a new page I think one for the Adventure era makes the most sense.

I believe the cut-off point for Modern is everything from Rush onwards, but I may be wrong on that.

At least Low 2-C Super forms makes sense, not just for the reasons above but also because of the Chaos Emeralds’ varying power levels. I could also see it for the World Ring forms due to how casual Alf Layla wa-Layla’s feat is as well as how he has a Low 2-C feat even before then. Not sure on the Black Knight characters though as there isn’t enough to imply something massively above Low 2-C.

I could have phrased the phantom king being a super forms baseline a bit better. Basically him creating the Reverie Zone is the Low 2-C feat super forms scale to since he actually has a tier 2 feat rather than him being the weakest super sonic opponent. The phantom king is also the main thing listed in most super form profiles to support Low 2-C because he was beaten by a classic era charecter.

As for the sonic rush cut off point I like it for being the introduction point for the boost but I could have swore that the rush games took place before black knight and if that's true than I think it would be awkward to have the storybook game's split between two profiles. Of course correct me if im wrong about the timeline but my initial thoughts for the adventure profile are that it could contain all the scaling from SA1 to unleashed for two reason. First we could fit the werehog, excaliber and darkspine form in one profile and by that point they all have the same eggmobile speed scaling which is conveinient for indexing.
For black knight I figured stomping base sonic and being able to merge camolot with the underworld is probably good for an at least rating but I could take it or leave it.
 
Yeah, Omega has actually had an Adventure Sonic profile in the works and we wanted community consensus. I guess now is a good time to talk about it.

What do you all think? Does an Adventure Sonic profile sound nice? (Keep in mind it'd really only be him, and maybe Eggman who'd get one. None of the others seem large enough to warrant it).

I don’t think Super Sonic fighting him would be the reason they’re Low 2-C at a baseline. Since the Chaos Emeralds are constantly stated to have varying power I imagine the wiki would need some direct statement of their minimum level. They do prioritise the Phantom King in the profiles though so maybe I’m wrong.

I just looked to fact check myself and the wiki considers Sonic ‘06 to be the first Modern Sonic game chronologically. The Rush series is considered after ‘06, then it’s Secret Rings, Unleashed and Black Knight. Darkspine, Werehog and Excalibur would all be on the same profile in that case.

Iirc King Arthur could also do the merging feat, so all Merlina’s got is stomping base Sonic which Infinite also did.

Tbh if Merlina’s fight is considered enough for “at least” then that might actually be good, as it would give an excuse for Sonic to have a “post-Forces” key using the same logic that can also split up some of his higher speed scaling.

You won't here any arguments from me about a three way profile split for sonic and eggman but I do have a question about how it would apply to eggmans intelligence. Before I get into that though I think metal sonic should also get the profile split both because his current profile melted my eyes and because so many things are left out. In the classic era alone we missed metal sonic kai, a pseudo super form, and that bizzare phantom ruby transformation seen in mainia. Dont even get me started on his two neo meal forms either because those are an indexing nighmare in a merged profile.

Anyways will Eggman keep his supergenius rating in his classic and adventure profiles or is it back to EG with him.

Modern Eggman by Generations treats his past counterpart as equally as smart, so I believe Supergenius would still apply.

Some of those were left out because they were regarded as not prominent enough to index due to lack of appearances.
 
Minor question, has it been confirmed that Sonic x Shadow Generations is just gonna be a few new stages with Shadow as playable? Or will there be a possible new story to come out of it as well?
 
Well to begin with, I was just replacing an outdated calc with a new version. But I believe linking that calc is more of a product of an older period, back when the character himself was Tier 5. Nowadays, it's just a supporting feat

The profile itself is very outdated and is in dire need of a rework
 
Now, usually I'd ding you for replacing a calc with an updated one without a calc group discussion thread deciding which is better.

But if it's supporting who cares xd

The problem is that the originally linked calc was never accepted to begin with (and the one who made it is no longer on our forum I believe), but if I still needed a thread for that, my apologies
