One Piece General Discussion: Egghead

True, but they got good feats, and there's yet to be a reason for me to believe they aren't relative to at least Kizaru
"Good feats" does not mean that they have feats relative to that of Kizaru, Kuzan, and Akainu.

If you think otherwise, please enlighten me to the feats that Aramaki and Issho have that put them on that level, because last time I remember, Aramaki got a hole blown through him by the AP of a Bolo Breath. The same Bolo Breath that Pre Hao Infusion Gear 4 Luffy was only moderately damaged by. And with Akainu's devil fruit being stated to have the highest offensive power out of all devil fruits, that would place him above Dragon Kaidou's standard non-haki or physical amped attacks, such as Bolo Breath.

To be fair, he is a Logia.

Aokiji could get shattered by Pre-Timskip Nico Robin.

Both the Bolo Breath and Nico Robin technically never really hurt Aramaki or Aokiji.
Apparently Aramaki's Golem wood is still pretty durable regardless since it wasn't broken or dented by a Base Yamato's Hao Infusion strike.

Admiral Aokiji resigned from the Navy's three admirals, and in order to strengthen their military power, the World Government initiated the "World Draft." Fujitora was selected as a new Admiral during this time and is a Devil Fruit user who can manipulate "gravity." He hopes for the abolition of the Shichibukai system.
So I guess Issho was chosen as the one to replace the gap of power Kuzan left, while Aramaki was chosen to replace the gap Akainu left.
Either way it seems they were specifically chosen due to their strength (because I honestly don't see why someone so harmful to the Marines' own cause would be made an Admiral based off his responsibility and justice along with his strength) and that they were enough to fill the holes that the other two left after their fight.
If they weren't strong enough to live up to the previous Admirals' strength and rep then they could have easily promoted Gion and Tokikake or someone else, but nah, that wasn't the case.
How is there nothing that implies or states that the 2 drafted admirals are equal to the 3 admirals that spend their entire youth training together under the likes of Kong and Zephyr? I don't know man, I'm yet to see any proof.
No they didn't- They trained under Garp.
Also I thought Film Z wasn't canon?
Also also, Koby trained under Garp as well, so you can't really use "They trained under a very strong and well known person!" as a metric, that isn't enough on it's own.
Hell, Luffy trained with Rayleigh and still wasn't Admiral level or above until the raid on Onigashima.
Zoro trained with Mihawk but also wasn't Admiral level until the raid.
Etc.
Plus, you literally don't know where Issho and Aramaki are from.
For all we know they could have been some godly swordsmen from Wano that were trained by Oden or were/are on his level.
Anyway

Sakazaki, aka Akainu, joined the Navy two years before Kuzan, and although they are slightly apart in age, he, like Kuzan, was called a "monster recruit". Although they joined close to each other, their philosophies differed greatly. During the Ohara mission 22 years ago, Kuzan targeted scholars for elimination, while Sakazaki targeted everyone who left the island. The gap between the two men remained unresolved even after they became Admirals, and they clashed bitterly in the battle for the succession to the rank of Fleet admiral.

Sakazuki belief is "thorough justice" He is a perfectionist who believes in eradicating evil. Kuzan, on the other hand, had upheld "burning justice" but after the Ohara incident, he has changed to "Lazy Justice"

Innit funny how Kuzan and Akainu were called monsters and Issho and Aramaki are called the exact same thing?
Not to mention Issho is a very new recruit, meaning they likely made him and Aramaki Admirals upon simply seeing how powerful they are.
Compare that to the others who were Vice Admirals and what not first.
Also Aramaki turned King, Queen, some Scabbards, and Weevil into fertilizer in like 10 to 20 minutes while only being hurt once, by the strongest person out of literally everyone he fought (not counting Shanks because it wasn't really a fight) as well, but yeah you're right they're clearly not on the original trio's level despite all of this evidence.
Really makes me wonder why Oda never said they were weaker than the others though... Must have been a mistake on his end.

There's no reason for them not to be at least relative to or close to the older Admirals.
Especially as Kizaru is still among them and wasn't said to be any better than them (except in speed).

What hype does Kizaru even have to put him above Greenbull and Fuji?

I can say that characters like Kuzan and Akainu may end up being stronger, but Kizaru? What, is stalmating Marco and blitzing fodder really that more impressive then what the other two have done?
The fact that Luffy seemingly called him very powerful and had a shocked face when he landed on the island as far as we know, where as he never expressed that with Greenbull and iirc Fujitora.

Fujitora was holding back a lot in every encounter with Luffy, and he only ever detected Greenbull after beating Kaido.

Law and Doflamingo are absolutely ******* terrified of him, even when he's basically using all the power in his left pubic hair to manipulate gravity.

but I think pretending they're not even close is strange, especially given where the Scabbards scale.
Well, to explain my view, my original post said:

OG admirals >>>>>> the New 2

It's close, it's still in the same tier, that's obvious

Akainu > Kizaru > Marco > Izo ~ Scabbards < Aramaki

Not even that large of a gap, but OPtards give too much value to how many >>>>>>>>>> you add between each character

Law and Doflamingo are absolutely ******* terrified of him, even when he's basically using all the power in his left pubic hair to manipulate gravity.
And yet absolutely everything we get to see of his power in practice, even when barely serious, are stupid meteors absolutely no one seems to have a problem dealing with.

The shocked face and what not looks worse than it is due to shading.
Shading can do strange things- For example there's a panel during Chopper's scuffle with Queen that makes him look like he's using Armament against him somewhat.
As for the "Someone very powerful is coming!" part, that's not too special as we've seen Admirals be called that before.
Also, Sengoku called Hancock "a very strong woman", but would you put her above every other Warlord for that?
Probably not, because Mihawk exists.

Because he never actually goes all out lol.
He even said that against Sabo.
CP0 said if they weren't on Mariejois while fighting the Revo commanders, they'd wipe the island clean with their sheer power.

And also gravity waves that completely restrained Doflamingo, swordsmanship and durability that outclassed a Haki-amped G2 + 3 Luffy without even using Haki, etc, etc.

You have to cut out a lot to just say 'he only tosses ineffective meteors'.

Bro, Luffy was not even YC3 level at that point, if Fujitora needed anything more than that he'd just be fodder.

He used the bare minimum because, from his POV, he was fighting with an ant.

You think I have Akainu > Issho and Aramaki because he defeated Jinbe with two attacks or because he fought all the WB commanders head on? Just to give an example

Yeah, I know Luffy wasn't that strong yet. My point was that what you said was objectively wrong.

Cool. Then I don't get why this is an argument.

I'd argue that casually impaling the remaining Beast Pirates, Haki or no, is more impressive than a 1 v 1 with any of the Commanders.

Unhinged opinion.

Most of the Commanders have even less, or just shittier, feats than Fujitora and Greenbull when you get down to it.

Marco, Jozu, Vista, Curiel and Izou are basically the only ones that do anything above Low 6-B, and half of them still have major caveats alongside their main feats.

Mihawk has better anti-feats than some of them.
