Spongebob Squarepants Discussion Thread

Here it is. I recommend to anyone making the CRT to just using the hax for the CRT and the LS Class Z feat as we haven’t really collectively agreed on a tier to upgrade SB too + we’re still finding/recalculating speed feats.

Also I know it’ll be hell but does anyone have time to check the ALL of the links lmao? A broken link in a CRT usually doesn’t end well. Especially considering this is the biggest wall of hax I’ve ever seen that’ll probably be added in one CRT.
Due to the abundance of abilities and feats, I’m going to attempt to be more active and start to give some critiques, suggestions, and any add ons to the list to try to make everything come out good in a big post in this discussion thread that’ll probably be out by tomorrow. This way we can for sure check off things on the list as good to go or something that needs further discussion!

Plus it’ll allow us to check what needs evaluation for feats, anything that we’re iffy about, etc!

SpongeBob thread listing finding new abilities and analyzing the entirety of the SB universe be like:
darcey-spongebob.gif

spongebob-squarepants-field-guide.gif

This is going to be my evaluation for the SB list we have just so we can keep everything neat. Couple of things to note before we get started:

-I will not be correcting grammar although it is going to need some attention before putting any of these scans into a CRT
-I’ll be completely ignoring video game feats for now (Although I think everything so far that’s been added for video game stuff is fine)
-This is going to be an analysis/evaluation, critiquing details on this list, I’m not adding anything
-This is just my opinion, feel free to correct me or give your own thoughts concerning my suggestions!

So let’s get started!

I’d honestly reword this to say:

“Subjective Reality/Creation (Capable of bringing himself and other things he dreams while asleep into reality, if SpongeBob and Patrick are in the shattered dream balloon they will be teleported to the dreamer's side. The Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob’s thoughts came to life and harmed Plankton, Threw two uncooked hamburger meats into it’s thoughts and then brought those thoughts into reality as cooked hamburger patties. Created a Krabby Patty by doing this)”
The first feat is fine but the second one imo isn’t needed to classify his accelerated development. And as much as I’d love to give him Reactive Evolution, he really isn’t developing a new power or resistance in either situation to adapt to his situation and more so just having accelerated development of his own abilities.

- Rage Boost (when he got angry, he strangled Mr krabs, although his hull disintegrates attacks aimed at him.)
Imo we need more evidence cited for this, as we don’t even have SB strangling Mr Krabs cited. I do agree that SB should have “Rage Power” we just need more evidence cited.
As much as I’d like to give SB a power like this, there’s not an ability on VSBW called Stamina recovery, and it should just be evidence to add to his stamina imo.

My main problem with this feat is we’re completely basing it off what the wiki page said. For all we know, SB just simply has resistance to mind manip. I do believe SB has supernatural willpower, we just need evidence from the show or comics rather than basing it off the wording of wiki.

- things to his supernatural luck (it only works on people with bad intentions who want to seriously harm him or even kill him and she caused this when Manray tried to finish him off to the point that Man Ray gave up, after being threatened by Mr Krabs who told SpongeBob not to paint anything but the walls, strange things happened in an unnatural way to fix his mistakes and to help him even when it was something "inevitable", the destructive attempts to clean a dollar of Mr krabs failed with the dollar remaining intact in each of them being revealed at the end that only by Mr Krabs that only a spit was needed to clean the same, in the end when he found out that mr krabs was using him to not spend money for not trusting him mr krabs ended up getting bad, he put himself in danger in several situations in the episode of "life insurance" and thanks to his luck he did well having managed to fulfill his goal of making Squidward believe in him, when he is sent away by Squidward he, by sheer luck, ends up falling again in the same place where he was sent away, managed to find a way out of the random land, a place that Squidward quoted "no one ever returned from there" having even managed to fulfill his goal with a person from there., when all seemed lost by an action of spongebob Squidward returned to normal losing his physique and his handsome Squidward powers)
This just needs rewording to say:

“Additional feats of Supernatural Luck (Caused this when Manray tried to finish him off to and discouraged him enough to give up. When painting Mr. Krabs walls, Mr. Krabs told SpongeBob to not to paint anything but the walls, strange things happened in an unnatural way to fix his mistakes and kept the dollar in tact and unharmed in attempt to clean the paint off of it, which didn’t need cleaning anyway. The trick that Mr. Krabs pulled ended up backfiring on him. SpongeBob put himself in danger several times in the episode "Life Insurance" and was completely unharmed. By sheer luck, ends up falling in the same place where he was sent away. Managed to find a way out of the random land, a place that Squidward quoted "no one ever returned from there")
-Perception Manipulation/Illusion Creation (SpongeBob can build things off of his imagination)
Looking back on think this is JUST perception manipulation, nothing really suggests that SpongeBob created an illusion. This also should apply to Squidward making it “Resistance to Perception Manipulation” instead of illusions.
-Body Manipulation (Granted Squidward the powers of “Handsome Squidward”)
I think this falls more under the lines of power bestowal
- Empowerment (can use the power of friendship that allowed Mermaid Man to defeat a villain and return to his prime, as well as change reality. amplify his strength and grant flight)
This could be mentioned in our additional evidence for reality warping as well! Maybe something like “Can use the power of friendship to change reality.” Also punctuation needs to be fixed here.

Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier in this thread, this can’t be used as there was a specific song that was written to reverse the jerktonium that SB had to sing. SB can’t just negate any type of empathetic manip with the same song but he does resist it at least.
-Not convencional resistance to shapeshifting (when he had his eye copied by Plankton, it began to change him)
So this one’s actually really interesting as it’s a really effective ability but it’s hard to put a finger on what this ability actually is. iirc Plankton is stealing attributes of other characters so this could maybe be “Empathetic Manipulation, perception manipulation, and Unconventional resistance to power mimicry.”? I’d like everyone’s thoughts on this!

- healing (after Squidward spent hours awake trying to write a song which caused him a lot of mental effort, he became incredibly tired, but he soon recovered from it)

- Resistance to Madness manipulation (Mr krabs does some calculations about the nature of the random land and at the end of the calculation the result is that the place drives people crazy, Squidward and SpongeBob were not affected)

Limited resistance to absorption (was still conscious as DNA after being absorbed and then negate absorption with his quantum manipulation)

There’s not evidence that he’s actually using anything like healing, this can be chalked up as increase in stamina. Something like “Can stay awake for hours working on music and quickly recover from it.”

This should be listed in SB’s resistances as well

He’s not being absorbed, he’s just being fused with everyone genetically in Bikini Bottom.

King Neptune:

[- Addiction to intelligence (for centuries he is in charge of defending the inhabitants of the bottom of the sea from various creatures that have appeared over the centuries, such as monsters, mentioned that the ruler of the bottom of the sea needs to know about all the creatures that live in it because of that his daughter knew who SpongeBob was, his experience has prevented him from being taken by surprise by his own trident and defeating it, although he does not resist his own abilities, his trident on its own has also proved to be quite manipulative, having managed to manipulate SpongeBob and his desires.)

- Add to your profile that your trident has a conscience of its own (When separated from King Neptune, the trident tends to act of its own volition, attacking everything and doing whatever it wants and manipulating the "new wielder's" wishes to create problems for the same, unless King Neptune catches it again.)

- Absorption (using an ordinary spatula, he absorbed the attacks of his trident and sent them back in it)

- Energy Manipulation (can create energy constructs to increase its range and attack harder)

- Magic (it was mentioned that his trident is magical)

-Attack Reflection (Reflected your trident's attack)

- morality manipulation (turned bad living beings into good ones, changed mr krabs' personality to stop being greedy)

- Conception of wishes (his trident can grant wishes according to the wielder's will, SpongeBob wished that Mr Krabs wasn't so greedy, so he started distributing money, Spongebob wanted to be a god and the trident provided it, when he wished ice cream for Patrick the trident made a fountain appear " unlimited" of ice cream, when king neptune took his trident again he undid all the damage caused by it)

- Life manipulation and transmutation (gives life and transmutes objects without consciousness, turned one into a giant to face an opponent larger than himself, its rays can transmute things into others)

- 4 Wall Break (talked to the audience, noticed an interruption on the screen and undid to continue a scene)

- creation and sealing (compared to his son in which he taught how to use his powers, his son created a magical cage to seal his father and probably created the magic cage he used to seal Triton)

- addition to telekinesis (this)

- Animal manipulation (manipulated marine animals to help him)

- Teleport (teleported SpongeBob and Patrick to face one of their champions , Spongebob who had his powers teleported him and Neptune to Krusty Krab)

- Power Nullification (Sponge Bob who had gained his powers took them away from him with one of his lightning bolts).

- Enhanced senses (with one of his rays brought SpongeBob stuff to him, then took him to Atlantis)
So a couple of things concerning Neptune:

The trident should be added to SB’s profile as optional equipment.

King Neptune shouldn’t have attack reflection on his own as he only did with the spatula, instead he should have weapon mastery.

Instead of conception of wishes it should be labeled Wish Granting/Reality Warping. (This would give SB even more options for reality warping which is lovely lmao)

The enhanced senses scan makes no sense, he just creates bags of SB’s things to travel with him to Atlantis. How does it have anything to do with enhanced senses?

Also I mentioned this at the start that I wouldn’t be mentioning punctuation that much but Neptune’s portion needs the most work as it is very messy.

Tape Measuring feat
For this feat "standard measuring tapes are .96 ounces, the distance between the moon and earth is (stated by squid ward) to be 238000 miles.

It took 3 seconds from the moon to hit sponge bob on Earth.

238000/3 = 79333.3333333 miles per second (Massively Hypersonic+).

Kinetic Energy calculator gets me 2.218158219555E+14 Joules or 50 Kilotons" - @I'm_Blue_daba_dee_daba_die

The following feats need to be evaluated and accepted by by Calc members to be used:

-A Fish In Her Dome
-SpongeBob Tier 5 Feats
-Moon Burp Calculation
-Gale Doppler dodges lightning
-The tape measure feat

All the other feats have been calculated and accepted. (Besides the Clarinetland explosion feat l think)

There’s possibly a couple things I missed so please give me feedback concerning this. Also I’ll look at all the new abilities presented that are not on the list as well.

Also in the movie game he is in a combat arena For 3 times and since in the games he has dealt with Robots and slime goo monsters
Yeah he’s extremely experienced with robots, goo based enemies, and such. Many have lightning and electricity based attacks which could entail consistent hypersonic-FTL speed feats

yepp and he can reflect them too can fight big boss which is more combat stuff
Yea, btw honestly, he’s pretty savvy and experienced with his bubbles in combat just from the games alone. Most of his combat is centered around bubbles if he doesn’t have any equipment, which is something a lot of people surprisingly overlook as it’s pretty useful.

Otherwise I agree and I'll correct it, but do you think we should take video game skills and only apply them after we show they are canon or should we apply them to the same review?

I’d say we need to provide evidence that the video games are canon in the review. Would everyone be fine with having AP, speed, hax/ability, and proving video games are canon all in the same thread or separate? That way we wouldn’t have to separate anything but at the same time we’d have to find evidence and scans that the video games are canon.

If we provide games canon, then this would provide a lot of wacky hax for SB. He’d get stuff like summoning, more time travel options, and disorienting type weaponry.

Here’s some interesting things I’ve noticed:

-SpongeBob can summon Hans to help him by singing his theme song (He also does this in the games when he falls off platforms and stuff)

-Cuddle E Hugs is actually a real hamster projecting his consciousness to Bikini Bottom (That’s like Astral Projection if anyone wants to make a Cuddle E profile lol) and can be summoned by SpongeBob by eating a moldy burger. This could be effective as SB could have his opponent eat a nasty burger and have extra help in combat from Cuddle. What ability would this be besides summoning? It wouldn’t be Madness Manip as Cuddle is a real hamster.

-SpongeBob should have social influencing with his long pants (It’s also more evidence for Squidward resisting as he didn’t care about SB’s long pants.

-Btw I just noticed this but SpongeBob could theoretically summon 4 million jellyfish to help him with his whistle (Imagine if he summoned 4 million jellyfish, Hans, Cuddle, Doodlebob/doodle friends, bubble buddies, sand creations, and duplicated himself at the same time. Surprisingly SB has a ton of summoning and creation type abilities that give him a ton of help)

Yep but the thing is that we are still missing the books and little bit of the comics stuff WE MUST KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT SPONGEBOB EVERYTHING
Yeah there’s a ton of SB stuff out there that has yet to be found, especially in the comics and games. Even in the actual show, there is some interesting weaponry that is often overlooked.

Here’s some interesting weapons I found:

Sounds like a good one, but do you think it would be better to prove video games are canon first and then do the skill review? or the last but apart from the video game part?

I feel like bringing up the video games first would cause problems. I feel like bringing up the show and comic feats first would be the way to go if you want to separate them. Though I would find it funny going all in with a GIGANTIC thread with EVERYTHING lmao.
iK it was a joke but those are weapons that he wont have them
Well yeah but it’s good to find stuff for other characters. He would have the tickle belt and Orb of Confusion as optional equipment since he uses it on Man Ray and has access to ALL of Mermaid Man’s equipment

ig so He can use it but again that nothing really is non canon
