It should be noted that the ten rings does amplify the user’s defense. Even if Sonic did oneshot, both seem to be comparable in skill so it would be incredibly hard for a oneshot to happen.

As we go by what we see on the profile, we'll have to take this match at face value. Means one good shot is enough to kill Shang-Chi. This could be CRT'd for his durability to be on the same level as his AP, but until then, this seems one-sided. It wouldn't be very hard for Sonic to land a single hit with how agile he is.

I'm aware of that, however, I doubt he's agile enough to actually evade being hit even once by Sonic. A character renowned and known for his speed and agility. In a prolonged fight, I can see Shang Chi avoiding or parrying several attacks. I don't see him evading every single attack though. Not in any world.
