One Piece General Discussion: Egghead

Well I'm mostly referring to the last part of his video where he talks about when Yamato took the wrong message from Oden's journal: that Oden should be adventuring out in the sea; when infact he should have stayed and ruled Wano.

Though a counterargument could be that since Yamato's whole character is basically derived from Oden and his journal, her character arc will be breaking from that, and instead of staying in Wano she instead goes out into sea and doesn't look back (unlike Oden).... or something like that idk

I still think his points are valid, Im still pretty neutral on the whole thing tbh
Well Yamato's conflict has moreso been about how she is trapped on Wano for her whole life and desperately wants to be free to go on her own adventure. We know that her job isn't to stay in Wano and be Shogun, because that's Momonosuke's job. As well, Oden leaving out to go to sea was necessary so he could learn of the prophecy and prepare Wano for the coming future.

So to me, that still doesn't prove why Yamato should stay in Wano, I think it's very clear her goal is to leave Wano and go adventuring because her father has trapped her in Wano for so long. She's worthy to use Haoshoku Haki, meaning she's meant to be a king and not stay trapped serving Momonosuke in Wano.

It's kinda funny how even the fandom (Morj's fanbase) is even trying to trap her in Wano, despite her WANTING to leave and be free. Maybe Oda's trying to tell us something with Yamato's character... 🤔

Well Morj just has bad takes IMO...

Man's been saying the Raid will fail for years and I seriously doubt it will

And what exactly does that get you?

All you're doing is punishing yourself by missing out on great stuff, such as the entire G-8 arc.
Who cares? Um literally everyone that likes one piece... It being non canon does mean shit, I HATE that word (which is even made up).... It's like putting something in a box and only allowing someone to only go through one plotline, that literally contradicts everything in the show... I would literally watch luffy just going on a walk in his hometown and not complain

Not only does Oda himself care but so does everyone around him... So why the f should you not care? Because they're not going to go find the one piece which you don't even know about?
You both really on that "not respecting my decision" trend huh?
Stop being pissy about me literally not caring about a useless movie, it's not gonna drop in ticket sales by 80% because a random 'mon didn't go watch it. (I'd have pirated it anyway, I'm poor).

I HATE that word (which is even made up).
"Canon", or 正史, means Official Story in Japanese.
The producer confirmed this isn't part of the main continuity (正史), so it's not canon, either you like it or not

Yamato LITERALLY stated she WOULD be going out in the seas with Luffy in Chapter 1023/1024

Are you deadass? You think just because he didn't bring up one SH, not a single thing he said was valid?

Either you just hate Morj and are against everything he says, or you're trolling. Which one is it bc theres no way you're being serious.
Or he genuinely believes what he said because he considers his points invalid.

I don't hate Morj, I just don't agree with him...

I just don't think he made any valid points...

How do you attribute disagreement with hate?

now where is this said?

only thing confirmed of the story from my knowledge is that there's some stuff in there that does canonically tie to shanks

You not caring doesn't matter, your trash reasoning is... Why would I respect your decision when you came here and openly expressed to us that you don't care which is disrespectful in some way. what, you expect us to act like the comment didn't exist? or just accept it?

If you are going to publicly talk about your opinion, it will get judged and talked about... You don't have protection or anything just because it's an opinion...

1. Proof? 2. Being canon doesn't matter, it literally gives us important af information... Similar to the other movies. 3. You the one who doesn't like it not us.

So you don't think that the straw hat pre-joining and post-joining layout that he said has any validity?
Yeah, because I think Jimbei and Brook break the rules he set and even Robin didn't fully follow the rules he suggested

Also I love Yamato, so I want to disagree ;)

It's "seemingly" non-canon to the main timeline, but there will be canon information revealed (likely tied to Shanks)

Take the word "canon" with a grain of salt when it comes to One Piece, as the same paragraph says that for Oda, the movies are as important as the main story itself. They're just things he can't include within the main continuity (at least the ones he WROTE, like Strong World and now Red)

Because if she joined Straw Hats Sanji would be pushed down a spot. No Sanji fan likes the idea of Yamato being a straw hat

People have been saying that over and over for the past like 15-20 years. From Robin, to Franky, to Jinbe. If Yamato joins the crew (which she's not), Sanji will surpass her.

It said he returned many times stronger, which could warrant a 4x difference in stats
Maybe. KT already had a whole debate about that. A few of us settled for "he wasn't AS strong as the god tiers before the x4 difference".
But who knows, maybe that's just another god tiers bump. The discussion might require a whole thread for itself.

I have to go with the harsh tone here, shut the **** up.
Respecting an opinion is basic human ******* decency.
Yeah, a movie about a character we so much wanted to see in the big screen being irrelevant to the main continuity is TRASH for me.

"Awn, awn, you're being disrespectful to the film"
Unless you're a producer, or worked on the film directly, I have to tell you to shut up again.
1. Proof?
You have two healthy hands. Use your smooth brain to google it.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to block someone so I'll never see their message again, but you will be ignored from now on.

I’m a monkey 🐵 unlucky

that’s the biggest hypocritical statement, so you basically want me to respect everyone’s opinion even if their opinion was liking to kill someone or something along those line, you don’t get to publicly say something and expect everyone to just accept it or respect it

Google it? You know that’s not how it works

Sure, but you could’ve ignored before typing anything

What if I did 🐵, you’re being disrespectful to something and saying that I should respect that… do you understand how that doesn’t make sense?

ok… and I don’t care, you publicly saying it to others is what I care about and expecting them to respect that aswell
