Her bullets have to hit something to do their AoE, he’s just going to avoid them altogether.
Her gravity rounds actually don't need to hit anything, they do damage just by moving near the target also

she's skilled enough to curve her bullet's trajectory so dodging is going to be even more difficult for him

also deku spider-manning around isnt even anything new to Ruby seeing as Blake does the same thing

Ever since the end of volume 3, she mastered her semblance during the timeskip between volumes 3 and 4 and has shown the ability to tackle people with her semblance active ever since then. She cant shoot or attack with her scythe though, but with th speed of her semblance she can easily dodge around while letting off minor attacks while looking for an opening.

Problem is there's going to be three bodies, he wont know which one she is until she is already attacking him
So it’s not worth much since it’s only tackling, something he can easily dodge.

Except she has to reform before attacking with her scythe, as you just said. So by the time she’s reformed, he knows where she is and that she is going to attack. So he can dodge.

The clip or at least part you linked was her fire dust and it hit a tree.

Curving bullets? Being an issue? For Deku? That’s laughable.

Deku was dodging curving ballets in the rain from someone a kilometer away when they got to near point blank range on him. He then proceeded to just get better at dodging them to the point he could dodge at least 7 curving billets firing at him at the same time, all coming from different directions, while he was closer so he had less time to react, with only Float and Danger Sense.

Ruby’s sniper skills are not good enough.

Danger sense: "Sufficiently fast attacks can also prevent the user from being able to properly dodge them, as Izuku was heavily injured by Lady Nagant's bullet despite using Danger Sense."

So basically gravity dust bullets and ruby's semblance would bypass it then?

Because her gravity dust rounds are faster than her normal bullets and her semblance would let her blitz circles around deku casually

They are not sufficiently fast enough. Deku got better mid fight against Nagant, whose skill level is incredibly higher than Ruby’s. It wasn’t just speed, it was her skill that let her hit him. The first shot aimed at him that was intended to hurt him he caught with his bare hands, and that was with no knowledge of it existing prior and her being a kilometer away.

Also, that was a month BEFORE he went on a training rampage that increased his skill. Ruby is not good enough

To put the whole “being fast enough gets past Danger Sense” thing to rest:

Nagant was faster than Deku with her attack speed. Fast enough that if he was close enough, he himself admitted that he wouldn’t be able to react even with Danger Sense.

Immediately after that chapter, he dodges, in close range, several of her curving bullets at the same time, consistently, while only getting minor scrapes, with only Float and Danger Sense helping him.

Deku puts himself down in fights. He is self deprecating. His skill is higher than he says he is. He does not remain the same over the course of a fight. He learns and gets better near instantly.

Ruby does not have the skill necessary to keep up with his level of intelligence and adaption. He would easily read the patterns and movements of her bullets, as well as memorize the types of bullets she’s using, and evade them all day long. It would be child’s play for him to predict her bullet trajectory and dodge them long before they even reach him.

Going to post Ruby's skill chain soon

Just a heads up
It really will not matter when I know all of the skill levels in RWBY. I was there when they were founded and established on this wiki.

Nagant is more skilled than all of them when it comes to shooting. It isn’t even close. She is smarter than their entire verse in terms of combat analysis other than like the gods.

At the bottom of the skill chain is aura users as a whole. While every living being in RWBY technically has Aura, actually being able to utilize it for things such as defense, regen, and senses requires years of training and a high enough degree of martial skill (and yes you actually need martial skill for it) that only a small percentage of the population of the entire planet ever become skilled enough to utilize their aura. Of that small percentage, an even smaller percentage ever become skilled enough to manifest/control a Semblance (yes semblances are also skill-based). To reach this small percentage comes to the second half of the bottom of the chain: Almost every character worth their salt in RWBY has spent their entire life training in combat and can fight hordes of Grimm with little issue (Almost because Jaune exists). The entirety of the main cast of RWBY was initially enrolled at Beacon Academy, one of the most prestigious combat schools in the world, with almost everyone who was accepted there having been trained for almost their entire life to fight monsters, and each one that was not professionally trained requiring a skill display overseen by Ozpin, who has the composite skill of several thousand professional huntsmen that he accumulated over his immortal lifetime.

Thats the baseline for skill in the verse.

Before the Beacon Arc Ruby had been personally trained by her uncle Qrow in combat and as a result she was noted as always excelling above her peers in combat training. At the start of the series Ruby was at a level of skill that even though she was two years away from being eligible to join Beacon she was admitted due her combat prowess impressing Ozpin, with him noting that she was already a master at wielding one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed. In combat Ruby is capable of taking on entire hordes of Grimm on her own and walking away without a scratch and utilizing the different functionalities of the Crescent Rose, such as the massive recoil from the rifle aspect of the weapon and the weapon's transformative capabilities, in tandem with each other and her Semblance in order to maintain an edge over her opponent. Basically every named character is around this level of skill in the early seasons.

Now for Velvet. Velvet is able to perfectly and instantly mimic the exact moves that she observes other people use in combat as well as utilize multiple different fighting styles simultaneously, both armed and unarmed. Thanks to Anesidora, Velvet is also able to copy fighting styles that utilize weapons, and she is able to wield the weapons that she copies just as effectively as their original user. To date that we know of, Velvet is able to simultaneously utilize the fighting styles and weapons of Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao Long, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, Nora Valkyrie, Sun Wukong, Penny Polendina, Coco Adel, Peter Port, Reese Chloris, Fox Alistar, Vega Bleu, Yatsuhashi Daichi, Russel Thrush, Roy Stallion, Neptune Vasilias, Brawnz Ni, Bartholomew Oobleck, Flynt Coal, Edward Caspian, and Scarlet David. Of note, every person listed spent their entire lives training in combat and several of them are professional huntsmen with decades of combat experience.

Moving up the chain we have Nebula Violette, who not only outmatched Velvet in a 1v1 test of martial arts skill, but was directly stated to be more skilled than Velvet in combat despite Velvet mixing numerous fighting styles to try to throw her off in their fight.

Above her is Pyrrha Nikos, the skill god of the Beacon Arc. Pyrrha is one of the most skilled students at Beacon Academy, having won every combat tournament she has entered since she was a pre-teen due to both her mastery of combat and mastery of her semblance, being able to apply it in combat completely undetected and having done so in almost every fight she's been in for over a decade, doing so with such skill and precision that she has lead many to believe she is untouchable and invincible as no one has been able to even land a blow on her in her combat career. Even without her semblance she has shown the ability to quickly and easily adapt to her combat situation and analyze her opponents while fighting and changing tactics to suit the situation she is in. She has shown extreme accuracy, being able to hit moving targets from hundreds of meters away and strike vital weak points on an opponent mid-combat both with and without the aid of her semblance. She is also highly skilled at using her weapon's multiple forms in combat, being able to switch between forms several times in rapid succession to both deliver rapid attacks and counter others simultaneously.

Then theres Mercury. Mercury is a veritable master of close combat, having spent his entire life training in pure martial combat to make up for his Semblance being stolen by his father. He is shown to be a very acrobatic and agile fighter who relies upon quickly overpowering his opponent with complex kicks that imply a near-mastery of martial arts that resemble Tae-Kwon-Do. He is also capable of a break-dancing style, similar to Capoeira, and makes use of Muay Thai as well. Despite his focus on kicks, Mercury also uses his hands to grapple, block or redirect enemy attacks. His experience and skill are aggressive and effective enough to drive even fighters of a high caliber, like Pyrrha, into a defensive position, with Word of God confirming that Mercury would defeat her if he fought her seriously. Due to his fighting style, Mercury relies on his swift and quick reflexes to counter and block his opponent's attacks as first demonstrated during his fight with Yang Xiao Long, altering the course of her punches and using his footwork to raise her fists and kick underneath or around her attacks. Despite the presumed awkwardness of his weapon's ranged capabilities he is a skilled marksman, able to shoot a phone out of a person's hand from a good distance away, and is proficient at using the many different forms of projectiles at his disposal to keep his opponents off balance. Mercury is also known to be observant, tactical, and analytical, able to notice and deduce the capabilities and limits of Pyrrha's Polarity Semblance after she uses it once during their brief fight, despite Pyrrha using it extremely subtly in combat and having spent her entire life honing her ability to hide her Semblance and its mechanics from her opponents and the general public.

Ruby in this key is able to match Mercury in skill and is directly stated by veteran huntsmen to be on the level of Qrow, who Mercury outright fears fighting.

None of that is better than Nagant’s bullet feats, which Deku is better than. Deku could analyze and defeat every single feat there with ease that isn’t semblance related.

Their intelligence might be outdated. Their skill in comparison to Nagant is not. She’s better.

How exactly is Nagant more skilled? Because it's been a while sense I read those chapters

She can, at night, with no enhancements to her vision, from a kilometer away, accurately calculate the trajectory necessary to hit a teenager flying through the sky at comparable speeds to her own, by predicting his erratic bouncing movement behind buildings, accurately enough to near hit him twice, THROUGH PRECOGNITION, that she didn’t even know existed.

She can curve bullets, through skill alone, over a kilometer away from her by sheer mathematical calculation and prediction of her opponents movements to know where they are going to be before they are there.

She doesn’t even need to see where she’s shooting. In her flashback, she curved a bullet through a building with one window and perfectly kill shot every single person inside because she predicted where they would be walking all at the same time.

She is the greatest sniper in the country. That is not an exaggeration.

Please, give me feats for RWBY that even SLIGHTLY come close to that level of precision and skill. Then, when you find them, tell me how they stack up to Deku, who is literally better than these feats.

Anyways that all I got

Because I literally can't think of any other time she actually used her sniper at a long distance range other then the time she fought the mech during vol 6 but still probably not as good as Nagant

Cool.

So back to the main discussion: Deku dodges her attacks and whittles her down with Fa Jin strikes where he can, but mainly sticks to avoiding the death scythe. Ruby is going to eventually run out of Aura, at which point he stomps all over her because his stamina in comparison to hers is ridiculous and he gets to keep all his abilities.

Fight doesn’t even last an hour straight.

No, because she is WELL within the capabilities of winning. There is NOTHING stopping her from winning other than the skill of her opponent and using his abilities in the right manner. There is no unfair advantage or otherwise broken ability that makes him automatically win.

It is simply his sheer will and skill at making what he has work that lets him win. Do not try and claim that Deku working hard for a win is a stomp because Ruby loses.

Also Deku will go CQC vs ruby like what happened with lady

So that's a reason I brought up skill

That doesn’t solve the problem. He still has all his abilities in cqc. All of his feats are cqc. Ruby is trying to get through that, not his range.

Everything that applies for her sniper bullets applies to her close range. Danger Sense alone cuts down her skill advantage, then you add analytical prediction. He simply weaves in and out of her scythe attacks because he knows her attacks before she makes them.

Also, as he will notice, she has to be solid to attack with her scythe. Meaning he can counterattack with Fa Jin. Her weaknesses are very noticeable to him, so it’s a matter of predicting and acting.

ruby's semblance lets her blitz people way faster than herself normally on top of making her intangible

Also danger sense kinda has limits like how it can't sense when he gets blitzed. So it's still fair, right?

But what about the mid gauntlets on his legs and arms and his iron soles, those things have a higher durability then his normal durability right?

High speed amp, AoE advantage with potential of paralysis and freezing, raw skill advantage, intangibility during speed amp, range advantage, lifting strength advantage and a force field that nullifies all damage until depleted. She has HELLA win conditions.

Deku no full cowl so he isn’t even super strong OR has his air pressure, so his mobility is hyper gimped.

The fact that he wins off sheer intelligence and good applications of his skills is a testament to how hard he worked to be even remotely good at what he does.

High speed amp, intangibility during speed amp
His analytical prediction and precog hard counter this and she can only use it until her aura runs out, and she can't use any of her other abilities during it
AoE advantage with potential of paralysis and freezing, range advantage
Which relies on actually hitting Deku with her bullets, which we just spent half the thread coming to the conclusion that it wouldnt happen, on top of paralysis not working due to him being able to withstand natural lightning and being able to break out of her Ice Dust pretty easily (Ice dust is only unbreakable by Beacon Arc RWBY, everyone after that can break it no problem)
lifting strength advantage
How is this a wincon exactly?
and a force field that nullifies all damage until depleted
It doesnt nullify damage actually, just blocks it. She still takes the damage she's hit by and can be knocked out and even killed through her aura. (Cough Yang vs Neo Cough. Cough Yang getting her arm cut off by Adam and him cutting though her aura Cough)

High speed amp
With Deku's analytical skills and precog, the speed amp shouldn't really matter.
AoE advantage with potential of paralysis and freezing
Precog + Float should cover this
raw skill advantage
He's faced people better at range and close combat
intangibility during speed amp
Sure? Though I'm not sure if that's even a wincon in itself.
range advantage
Literally doesn't matter
lifting strength advantage
Also doesn't matter against Izuku's way better close combat and precog + analytical prediction coupled with Deku's insane skill
force field that nullifies all damage until depleted.
Her Aura's durability is culminative so it should easily be taken down with a few attacks. Also from what I remember her Aura is VERY inconsistent.

Having methods of addressing win conditions does not mean they are not present. This would be a stomp if Ruby could do nothing about anything he’s doing, but she can, he just is smart enough to realize and apply another counter. If that’s a stomp, then sure.
Anyways should probably change this to joint training base deku instead 🗿
That’s a spite thread

Alright I won't change it. But how is she going to deal with precog + mid gauntlets and iron soles haveing much higher durability to live 45% attacks and 100% attacks

His chest and head are completely unprotected. And her not being able to blitz past his precog and one shot him doesn’t make it a stomp. It’s a decisive win.

What exactly can she do? Everything you listed as her advantages all get countered by his precog and analytical prediction, and her aura isnt a perfect shield as she can still be hurt, KOed, and killed through it
