Ok bro, but you can't stack SSJ on top of it which means that a fusion of gohan and goku would have to be done in base to be able to turn SSJ.

Actually, he can transform into SSJ, but because Potential Unleashed already unleash his full power, going SSJ will not give him much needed boost and just strain him more

Makes sense but the point is still the same, if gokan was gonna use SSJ against buu but kai said he doesn't need to because of the fusion amp then it would still make base gokan above buutenks and thus vegito.

Elder Kai never stated Gohan could not become a Super Saiyan afterwards; in fact, he stated he would no longer need it. The statement you are thinking of is when Elder Kai warned Goku not to be a Super Saiyan when they fused, as they would be stuck in that form permanently, and it would shorten their lifespan.

Yeah this is true. But my point is he said that they wouldn't need to transform into a SSJ after fusion implying that their fusion's base form is enough to kill buu, this means that base Goku + base gohan fusion > buutenks therefore base goku + base vegeta fusion > buutenks.

Base gohan without using potential unleashed is comparable to Goku, if old kai mentioned the fusion using SSJ then the fusion must already NOT be using potential unleashed.

Gohan cannot just drop out of "Potential Unleashed" on a whim. It is literally just his inner power brought to the surface and amplified -- it practically is his base form, and he has maintained this level of power all the way to Super (Tagoma fight). And even if he could drop of his "form", why would he?

Well you make a good point with the why would he thing. It's weird that old kai said that if Goku and Gohan fuse they'd be able to turn SSJ, maybe because Goku's potential isn't unleashed so they'd stack? IDK. But I guess point 1 and 3 can still be used to scale base vegito above SSJ3 gotenks.
