One Piece Chapter 1021: "Demonio" (Official Release)

I just don't see Robin getting kidnapped again and us getting a Enies Lobby 2.0 this late in the series, or rather an Enies Lobby 3.0 since WCI was already technically EL 2.0. If those CP0 agents are the same ones who were getting punked out by Orochi earlier in the Wano Arc, I don't think Brook has anything to worry about. Especially after he just one-shotted a Number this chapter. I believe the actual dangerous CP0 agents (Lucci and Kaku) are nowhere near Wano. And I still don't think Black Maria is down due to her weird SMILE-like body despite being an Ancient Zoan and her suspiciously doing only one transformation since Chapter 998.
I have to agree too, i don't see a repeat of Enies Lobby, although i don't dismiss the possibility of the CP0 try to take away Robin, only for Brook to defend her so that he can also have his own moment in the arc.

I think that CP0 will at least try to abduct her, given the spy bird that saw her weakened state.
Oh, I agree they'll definitely try, but I just don't see them succeeding. Either Brook or another Straw Hat or another Alliance member will help fight off the CP0 members. I also see Robin being able to fight them off herself since she has a lot more stamina then people give her credit for. Or if my theory about Black Maria not being permanently down is correct, I can see her attacking them to go after Robin again.

Did Robin combine her Devil Fruit abilities + Fishman Karate + Ryuusouken when she destroyed the ceiling? Or was it just a mix of her Devil Fruit abilities + Fishman Karate?

Did you forget what he did to BM (with Franky, not during WCI)? He's having moments since the start of the arc IMO.

Fishman Karate only IMO, it's not very explicit if she did learn Ryuusouken or if she could only get Gyojin Karate during the TS.

Also, that's one of the few flashbacks we got for TS training right?

I mean it was a Franky's moment for the most part, but if Robin its too weak to defend herself then Brook will have to fight alone to save her.

Well, there is the panel of Sabo explaining to Robin she had to hone in on her opponent's core. So it is implied she might've learned some Ryuusouken techniques, that's why I asked.

And yeah, this is one of the few flashbacks of the TS training. We've now gotten flashback training for Luffy, Zoro, and Robin.

We know he explained but we don't know if Robin can replicate it, nothing she did this chapter is impossible to do with GK alone AFAIK.

I believe Robin did follow the principles of Ryuusouken given the fact she landed her palm-strike on the perfect location to allow the entire ceiling to collapse and extinguish the flames.

Not saying she used Ryuusouken straight-up, but instead used knowledge based on what Sabo taught her.

So is Robin now the best martial artist among the strawhats? At least she is likely the most well-rounded one having mastered both grappling and striking techniques to a high degree

Isn't Jinbe black belt since he was just 10 yo or something like that? He's the top one of the crew IMO.

Jinbe and Sanji say no
If you equalize power and speed, I think Robin probably beats them (Sanji definitely, more iffy on Jimbe) because grappling is generally more effective than striking

Also Jimbe is definitely a better martial artist than Sanji as he can strike from a distance - something Sanji can't do yet

True, but that was not my comparison
I mean, you are removing their stats (and probably their haki) but Robin can keep her DF? She is obviously going to win in a situation like that, but it's absolutely not because she is more skilled.

Jinbe's arguably a superior grappler to Robin with his Judo, not to mention he also knows how to snap bones with grips alone. Now if we're talking about power, precision and discipline, it's a wash.

Robin ain't beating him in martial arts.

I am just equalizing stats for a hypothetical scenario. Jimbe and Sanji still have all their techniques (i.e. Fishman Karate and Diable Jambe) but without their speed/strength (mainly speed) advantage over Robin, I really think they would have a hard time against her, especially Sanji. Jimbe with his body shape is kinda difficult to successfully put in any kind of submission hold, and he can break bones by simple grip strength so ultimately he'd probably win

PS : It's just a hypothetical, don't get so worked up over it

Honestly that was probably the best written fight of the Strawhats VS Tobbi Roppo yet.

Black Maria in all her sadistic over confident glory. Tauting Robin for her past of loneliness and being hunted.
Robin being pushed to her limit and creating a new ability in the heat of battle with the help of her Rev friends.
The artistry was on point and both got some great abilities, neither looked weak and Oda went full bad-girl for this fight.
I look forward to this being animated as the flames will add something extra.

. . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .

FINALLY HAKI FOR ROBIN-CHAN!!!

It probably isn't haki, her hands are too white (the one above the spider head, for example), and full body armament out of nowhere would be a bit extreme IMO.

So Zoan Form Black Maria could've done a lot more damage to Sanji with her punches and deliberately held back on him. Yet in that same form put all her strength into her punches when she was hitting Robin. Glad to see Robin is getting a lot more feats than she did in Dressrosa.

And it seems Robin's Demonia Fleur technique might have a similar side effect that Luffy's Gear Third did Pre-Timeskip. Because when Brook goes to help her after the fight, she seems a lot smaller than her normal adult size.

I can see this happening: Vergo>>Queen>>Sanji
Doffy yonko-tier, so it wouldn't surprise me Vergo > Queen 😏

----

But anyways. If CP0 doesn't make their move I'm gonna be surprised. This is the best opportunity for them to try and get Robin. She's injured, only 1 SH is with her, and everyone else is busy (except Jinbe, who is the closest to them atm).

Jinbe and Brook vs CP0 give.

I wouldn't take Maria injuring Sanji seriously, from what I remember Kalifa also managed to injure him

Kalifa isn't massively inferior to Sanji, but also keep in mind attacks like Shigan and Rankyaku are AP enhancing.

Sanji was trying to use Haki to defend against Maria yet still took damage from her knuckles.

Didn't he say his haki was getting weaker due to fighting a woman or something like that?

Kalifa's Doriki is 630, while Jabra's 2180 almost close to Kaku's, who's the second strongest among the CP9 Agents.

Kalifa is massively inferior to a serious Sanji. Remember when he kicked Blueno, he almost knocked him out (Kaku commented on how strong his kick was, and that they shouldn't underestimate him). Furthermore, a heavily weakened Sanji defeated Jabra, despite the fact he was beaten up by Kalifa prior to his fight with Jabra and hadn't enough time to recover.

One kick from a healthy Sanji without DJ is enough to one shot Kalifa.

Sanji was a little bit weaker than Jabra physically btw. He only won cuz Diable Jambe. He couldn't physically match Jabra's Tekkai Kenpo.

I'm honestly not a fan of using Sanji to justify the ratings for some female characters (Maria maybe?) But the rest absolutely not. Imagine a woman slapping Sanji, should we give her a large mountain lvl AP because she was able to hurt him?

What definition of "Little" are we using right now? He was brutally beaten up by Kalifa almost to death, If he were an ordinary superhuman he would've died from the injuries.

There's no indication that a healthy Sanji wouldn't have won without DJ, Sanji was literally giving Jabra a run for his money despite him constantly using Tekkai, he even blatantly stated that Sanji is strong (heavily weakened Sanji btw). Also the narrative of Sanji vs Jabra was Sanji wanting to test a new technique. Similarly, how Luffy used Blueno as a test subject for G2

During his fight with Jabra, Jabra had to resort to trickery and other means to catch Sanji off-guard, also didn't Sanjj literally kept up with his Tekkai geppo throughout their fight until he started spamming his Tekkai Wolves and simply overwhelmed him, considering he wasn't in his best state anyways

So you agree Kalifa is strong enough to hurt Sanji :p

Also, heavily weakened? Sanji only got battered which is something every character in this verse is used to by that point.

Also, you seem to forget Sanji ALSO resorted to trickery vs Jabra.
