This means he just gets lasered in half and dies immediately, because he isn't 4-B in base. You may want to fix that.base
It's majin vegeta nowThis means he just gets lasered in half and dies immediately, because he isn't 4-B in base. You may want to fix that.
But the thing is, heat vision is hot. Far hotter than any temperature that Vegeta has been exposed to. Burn damage is totally a relevant factor in the fightIt's not like the the heat vision ignores durability.
Both are incredibly long and telegraphed (the latter only even got off because Vegeta goaded Cell into waiting), and a miss shot hurts Vegeta way more than it hurts Zod.Also attacks like Galick Gun and Final Flash.
That's totally in the question. Vegeta's attacks can't one shot Zod and the sun will amp Zod to the point of being in one shot range. Vegeta has no ways to control the fight due to his need to breathe and cannot get rid of Zod's power source without killing himself. He just has no viable win conditions.Zod Flying to the sun to amp himself is also out of the question because of homing attack and range.
yea ur right ill change him to start out in ss2 full poweredThis means he just gets lasered in half and dies immediately, because he isn't 4-B in base. You may want to fix that.
As for the restraint as a wincon thing, there are various things that can be done there. He can just fly up and vegeta chokes, he can throw vegeta really far and he chokes, he can hit the planet hard enough to pop it and vegeta chokes, but I think the big thing here is Zod won't lose the DPS race. Zod can take more than he can give, has his kryptonian healing, and can fly over into the sun to amp himself in all aspects, including tankiness. Their raw AP is similar. Meanwhile, Vegeta lacks the heat resistance feats to tank the eye beams for long. I also don't think that Zod will really fall off if struck. There's tons of holds that involve wrapping around, and Vegeta's not demonstrated the sort of launching force to overpower such a massive LS gap.
Here's a potential scenario: After some combat, Vegeta slips up and gets put in a headlock. Why is this just a flat out win? Because from here Zod can just fly to the sun while burning a hole through the back of Vegeta's head and Vegeta can't hurt him rapidly enough to stop that.
Voting Zod.
change my vote to Zod FRA
I'm changing to Zod FRA
Though restraining someone constantly is not a valid wincon as long as it isn't passive, which the act of Zod grabbing Vegeta isn't.
However choking Vegeta and using his immensly superior lifting strength (like damn. This gap is unbelievable. May be one of the largest gaps in LS that aren't infinite) to strangle him is valid since he only need to hold him until Vegeta is dead or incapped.
Though Vegeta might be able to fire a ki blast to make Zod let go of him, which could work since their AP is in Vegeta's favor
Nothing changes. It goes from "one shot with heat vision" to "overpowered with far greater physical strength and comparable AP"yall still vote for zod or ur votes change cuz i made vegeta go ss2 full-powered
If he has no win conditions this turned to a stomp for ZodBut the thing is, heat vision is hot. Far hotter than any temperature that Vegeta has been exposed to. Burn damage is totally a relevant factor in the fight

He has win conditions, vegeta attacks can destroy ZodIf he has no win conditions this turned to a stomp for Zod
alrightNothing changes. It goes from "one shot with heat vision" to "overpowered with far greater physical strength and comparable AP"
His lifting could scaling to Goku's as he was able to lift the turnips on Beerus's Planet like Goku despite Goku having lifting feats. Ex: Lifting the 50 tonnes, lift the plates on king kai's planet. Etc etc. So I would in turn place him even. I still think he loses in this category cuz lack of feats. Zod can destroy the planet and Saiyans can't breathe in space but Goku was fighting with Beerus in space with no diff. Another time we see his space breathing which provides something more impressive and as a kid. Goku took the Carrot Gang to Space. It took the power pole 1 second to double his height. The pole seemed to be growing in a linear function. Goku is 1 meter. From earth to the moon is 384,400 meters. That's four whole ass days in space. To a person who hasn't been in space before. No diif. The only time Saiyans are stated to not be able to breathe in space is by Frieza, probably to scare Goku and/or a dub mistake as in the original Japanese manga. Kai fixes this but then Goku goes on to ask if Frieza can survive without oxygen but that's not enough evidence to say he can't. He lives with earthlings who need space tech to breathe. We do see Goku wear a space suit pre Namek Saga but considering the fact he wasn't star level and that the Sun didn't phase the suit, the suit was probably made for heat resistance. So lets actually compare the two since no one else has
AP
Vegeta's scaling is being superior to SPC according to Goku's statement about Dabura. There's no indication that he's stronger than Teen Gohan however, since SS2 Goku was strong enough that it broke Vegeta and he was willing to let Babidi mind control him in order to become his equal in that state. So Vegeta >1.053 KiloFoe
Zod is scaling to Superman and Flash. The former's highest accepted feat is 565 Foe and the latter is 1.08 KiloFoe.
Considering the vagueness its likely both are roughly the same or comparable enough that any difference is not notable
Lifting Strength
Vegeta has none. Scaling to DB era Goku he's above Class 100 and I have seen calcs for giant Piccolo that could go into Class K but overall he doesn't have much notable and in fact has a massive array of low showings with gravity.
Zod scales to Superman, who is rated at Stellar
If Zod puts Vegeta in literally any hold, Vegeta is literally incapable of escaping under his own power. This isn't just a small gap. The gap between them is larger than the gap between the mass of a pigeon and the mass of the entire Earth by multiple orders of magnitude.
- To quantify the above lets be weirdly generous to Vegeta here, and say he is 8 trillion times physically stronger than DB Goku, that would make his lifting strength 4,573,762,200,000,000,000 kilograms
- Zod is 1,989,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilograms
- That's a gap of 434 billion. Not being generous to Vegeta that's a gap of 3.478 Septillion
Hax
Neither have anything that could one shot the other. Maybe Zod I guess since his superior senses and microscopic heat vision could breach durability but that's iffy since he's never done the latter in-character afaik
Physiology
Lets be clear here, Vegeta is at a large disadvantage in this situation. They're fighting on a planet that can be destroyed or its atmosphere annihilated. Vegeta cannot breathe in space, while Zod can. If Zod does something like this the fight immediately ends and Vegeta dies. Speed is equalized towards the slower opponent, but Vegeta is still FTL+, meaning it would require less than a second for Zod to end the fight via a space blitz
Skill
Vegeta is more skilled than Zod. But the sheer gap between their lifting strength and the knowledge that Zod can win via environmental factors makes this a moot point in my view.
Conclusion
I'm not seeing a reasonably win option for Vegeta here. At least none that aren't overshadowed by the lifting strength gap and the physiology advantage for Zod
- Zod outlifts Vegeta so hard a grapple instantly ends the fight
- Zod moving the fight into space, destroying the Earth, or destroying the atmosphere leads to Vegeta choking to death and ending the fight
- Vegeta doesn't have the heat resistance feats to suggest he can match heat vision that rivals the heat of stars
- Zod has a healing factor and can return to his maximum by either leaving Vegeta alone or moving closer to the sun. Vegeta must deal with any damage he takes and he cannot follow Zod
- Vegeta cannot destroy the sun without killing himself, meaning Zod will always have access to his power source
We have Frieza case and the fact that on manga the ''space fight'' still was on earth atmosphere (idk if manga should be a source here), and the fact that Vegeta also said that Saiyans can't breath in spaceHis lifting could scaling to Goku's as he was able to lift the turnips on Beerus's Planet like Goku despite Goku having lifting feats. If you think Zod knows Vegeta can't breathe in space, (in which he probably can) then Vegeta would blow up the Sun to prevent the energy gain.As for the restraint as a wincon thing, there are various things that can be done there. Voting Zod.
Frieza case? You talking about the one where I stated it was a dubbing error and potentially a bluff? We have Frieza case and the fact that on manga the ''space fight'' still was on earth atmosphere (idk if manga should be a source here), and the fact that Vegeta also said that Saiyans can't breath in space
If we use manga scales (idk if we are using it), Saiyans can't breath in spaceIf you think Zod knows Vegeta can't breathe in space, (in which he probably can) then Vegeta would blow up the Sun to prevent the energy gain.
Vegeta saying it was in Moro arc, it is recent, and wdym about breathing being a ki technique?Vegeta saying Saiyans can't breathe is space was how long ago? He used his Ki for fighting purposes. Breathing was probably a ki technique which wasn't brute strength. Ya know? The whole thing Saiyans are known for?
And if we use feats they can. Multiple of themIf we use manga scales (idk if we are using it), Saiyans can't breath in space
Which feats? And if we use feats they can. Multiple of them
When I meant how long ago I meant in retrospective to the arc itself.Vegeta saying it was in Moro arc, it is recent, and wdym about breathing being a ki technique?
A calc I found of the plates is 27,029,332.38936 tons or 27,029,332,389.36 kilogramsSo I would in turn place him even
Akira said that was merely high atmosphere and the manga included that explanation when it covered the film. So Goku still had available oxygen, just lower than normal amounts.Goku was fighting with Beerus in space with no diff.
Goku was being drowned, Vegeta died when Frizea blew up Earth, and Super states multiple times that Saiyans need air to live. Vegeta cannot survive in space canonically, which means that Zod punching the Earth ends the fight.
This kills Vegeta. Blowing up the Sun destroys the Earth's atmosphere, doesn't kill Zod, and Vegeta suffocates. If you think Zod knows Vegeta can't breathe in space, (in which he probably can) then Vegeta would blow up the Sun to prevent the energy gain.
Monster Carrot feat, The Beerus fight which while stated to be to in the atmosphere is not. When vegeta had red hair we literally see him outta the pod so much.Which feats?
A feat from Volume 1 of the manga that contradicted multiple times later on. Its either a gag or he held his breath, in either case he requires oxygenMonster Carrot feat
WoG both in-universe and out of universe state that it was in-atmosphere to keep the Saiyan's oxygen weakness consistent. The Beerus fight which while stated to be to in the atmosphere is not.
Anime filler yes. But the Anime still features scenes where they are stated to require air and risk death if they're left in places without it.When vegeta had red hair we literally see him outta the pod so much.
Which monster carrot feat? Beerus fight was in the atmosphere, the manga states it, outta the pod? Wdym?Monster Carrot feat, The Beerus fight which while stated to be to in the atmosphere is not. When vegeta had red hair we literally see him outta the pod so much.
I meant even to goku...A calc I found of the plates is 27,029,332.38936 tons or 27,029,332,389.36 kilograms
For reference that's 73.586 Quintillion times below Zod's lifting strength. There is no metric or calc that places Vegeta within even one one-trillionth of Zod's strength. Vegeta just cannot counter any grappling attempt.
Akira said that was merely high atmosphere and the manga included that explanation when it covered the film. So Goku still had available oxygen, just lower than normal amounts.

Vegeta dies if the Earth is destroyed. Zod however, does not care.
This kills Vegeta. Blowing up the Sun destroys the Earth's atmosphere, doesn't kill Zod, and Vegeta suffocates
