Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

@Ovrhide I can agree and disagree with that.
Yes it's obvious at it's central core Heroes is meant to be pure fanservice to sell those cards or merchandise that much is true, but at the same time I think Heroes does actually attempt to explain how characters are able to get so strong seemingly out of nowhere and even if sometimes it doesn't make sense I can at least respect it trying to give a justification

Ehh, I think a good explanation can be made for Broly.
Or they could have even make a more distinct remix of Broly, to stand out a bit from the other two.

Well from how Limit Breaker Ssj4 is suppose to work, it would require around 4 or 5 Saiyans to give Broly their ki in order for him to achieve the LB form. Aside from Turles and Cumber, is there any other evil Saiyans that could give Broly their ki?

Saiyan OCs or they pulled a few from Planet Vegeta before it was destroyed, mind controlled them to give Broly the power up, the discarded them like a used condom (Assuming Time Breakers are still involved, I don't keep up with Heroes)

There's Turles, King Vegeta, Radditz, Saiyan Saga Vegeta, maybe Super Baby 2? I don't know if there are more.

Okay so if we're talking strictly Saiyans powerful enough to give Broly the LB form the most likely candidates are:
Cumber
Turles (the one we see in Big Bang Mission alongside Bojack)
Dark King Vegeta
Baby Vegeta
And Goku Black.
Unless Heroes is going to tell us that Broly achieved it all on his own

If I recall correctly, Zamasu and Goku Black managed to take control over Dark Magic and access the Supervillain by themselves. I'm pretty sure if they were to be brought back into the SDBH story, hopefully separately this time, they'd do the same thing.

i'd hate to see sfpsj4lb goku black though. just make him a temporary dark king or something before imploding on himself.

Wait, he compresses the atmosphere which reflects radiation. Couldn’t the compressing the atmosphere bit also warrant an ability, or am I wrong?

Related to the 'Gogeta SSJ4' announcement.

@Listentomyrhytm actually it does explain how Broly obtains Ssj3 and 4.
He achieved 3 due to gaining a zenkai from his death during Broly Second Coming and he achieved 4 because of Black Smoke Shenron
Black Smoke Shenron's only involved in the trailer; the game actually gives a (mostly) logical explanation for him obtaining it on his own. Broly is first transformed into his Golden Great Ape form in Hell (I guess they have an artificial moon?) but he can't control it at first, and ultimately loses the form. After later escaping Hell and ending up on Supreme Kai's World, he transforms into a Great Ape again using one of its moons and manages to retain control, achieving Super Saiyan 4.

@Dominodalek yeah that actually makes more sense then Black Smoke Shenron, I didn't know that mainly because anything that isn't from Super Dragon Ball Heroes is exclusive to Japan only.
It's pretty obscure, but Heroes is full of small things like that. Take Bio-Broly for example - according to Heroes, there were at least ~5-9 of him, since multiple groups of them have shown up across Broly's early appearances.

That sounds crazy, but then again what isn't crazy in Heroes? After all this is the same series that gave us freaking Baby Janemba
There's actually context behind that as well - their adaptation of Fusion Reborn was released partway during their adaptation of GT, and Janemba presumably tries to escape Gogeta by hopping into the Baby Saga. Baby initially chooses Janemba as his permanent host, thus Baby Janemba, but is forced to settle for Vegeta after being defeated.

Can't say I could blame him for wanting to choose Janemba as a host, the dude's real powerful in Heroes and his hax makes him quite versatile and dangerous which could be wielded efficiently by someone with intellect like Baby

It's a shame he doesn't get many chances to show off his abilities - Janemba shows up pretty much anytime Hell does, but he rarely does much beyond filling Hell with his spawn or surrounding himself with dead villains.

It's a shame that new one, Black Janemba, got killed off pretty quickly by Xeno Goku and Vegeta. Seriously I think the Demon Gods are missing out on having such a powerful creature in their ranks because I'm sick and tired of seeing Broly always taking front stage

I was expecting him to be a much bigger deal than he turned out to be, considering that the A-plot of the preceding chapter was mostly Fu stalling the main cast until Janemba's formation. Why did they want to resurrect Janemba in the first place?

I guess have Janemba serve as a distraction for the Time Patrol in order for that Universe Tree to gain enough energy to create a new universe
Maybe, but Towa already had a plan to deal with them. It can't have been to get rid of the DBS characters because Fu wanted them at the Universe Tree so he could experiment on them with Cumber's aura, and he clearly didn't care about keeping people out of the Crack of Time because he also teleports in the other Z Fighters to fight his henchmen for... whatever reason.

Speaking of Cumber (or Kanba), is his aura the reason why Turles and Bojack got so strong? In the manga they got strong by absorbing the energy of the Universe Tree

Beyond the visual effect being the same, there's no real evidence to support that - it shows none of Evil Aura's traits and nobody points out the connection despite Vegeta immediately recognizing it when used by Fu. As a bit of minor supporting evidence, Dragon Ball Legends's 'Dark Ki' (which at this point is all but stated to be the same kind of energy the demons use, it shares the exact same characteristics) uses an identical aesthetic for its third stage.
