Anyway, unlike the Dante in later games DMC3 Dante is far more serious and willing to use his abilities including his time slow, as such he'll use his abilities to their full extent upon realizing who he's fighting.
His versatility is better, consisting of his dual swords Agni and Rudra, Rebellion, Cerberus, Doppleganger, Quicksilver, Royal Guard, Trickster etc.
He also has expirience fighting far stronger foes then this version of Black Shadow, including his brother Vergil who's been fighting demons for ten years and instantly masters weapons upon contact with him,
Dante wins through versatility, skill, expirience and intelligence.
having BFR is that the user sends the target to space, or simply deleting them, unless the target got a way to come back, it would fail, but what will dante do against it?
hmmm well Dante is cocky but is somewhat less cocky ever so slight sans DMC 2 and he does use his styles well so time slow can make Dante win with all the weapons before shadow can truly dish things out so i'll go with Dante for gargoyle's reasoning
