There's some issues with some Toaru stats that came up on the general thread.

1) Kamijou Touma's IB rating should be fixed. IB is currently Planet level for deflecting one of Othinus' crossbow bolts. However, the crossbow bolts are Multi-Planet level.

NT9 Chapter 8

…The fifth shot came from directly in front of him.

His movements to the left and right were already sealed off and now Othinus had thrown a straight pitch. For the first time, Kamijou swung his right hand. But not in a straight impact meant to destroy. He scooped his hand up from below, traced his hand along the surface of the arrow, and diverted its trajectory upwards.

NT10 Chapter 20

He clenched his right fist.

He could not evade, so that left only one option.

His right fist clashed head on with the magic god's arrow.

In the instant of impact, he realized he had failed.

An ominous noise passed through his arm. Imagine Breaker was not enough to completely destroy this attack and he could feel his arm being pushed back.

(I don't care if it gets broken, crushed, or ripped apart! As long as it isn't torn off, I can still negate the stake in her chest!!)

He swung up his right arm that had become a spiral of intense pain.

With a sound like a rubber band snapping after being stretched beyond its limit, the arrow's trajectory was diverted slightly upwards and he slipped below it.

But IB also keeps the Invisible Thing that's apparently inside of Touma's right arm sealed. This Invisible Thing blocked LPSAD!Fiamma and terrified him.

OT22 Chapter 11

In that instant, what Fiamma of the Right felt first was not anger or fear. It was doubt.

There was not a scratch on the boy who should have been turned to ash.

In fact, the great swirl of light Fiamma had fired had split in two right in front of the boy and scattered to either side of him. Yet that attack had held such power that it could blow away a planet or recreate any of the legends in Christianity.

It was almost like…

It was almost like it had been blown away by an invisible right hand stretching from the wound on the boy's shoulder.

[...]

Fiamma felt his lips quickly drying up. He had finally acquired the right arm of Imagine Breaker. He had made all sorts of major preparations in order to obtain that strange right hand that acted as the final key. As long as he had his own power and that boy's right arm that had been disassembled and reorganized into a spiritual item, he could save the entire world. He had obtained something with that much value and yet…

He was inferior.

He was overshadowed.

The great swirl of power compressing toward that boy's shoulder felt so threatening that it seemed to suck the color out of everything Fiamma had obtained.

(Something invisible…)

Fiamma of the Right looked back at the boy's face. He was still hanging his head down so his expression could not be seen. It seemed that not just Imagine Breaker resided in that boy's body. Just the ability to negate supernatural powers was not enough to shake Fiamma's heart that greatly and to put him on his guard to that extent. Even then, he felt a painful illusion on his skin. He felt a deeply resounding shock in the bottom of his gut like large fireworks were going off nearby. That shock was similar to an invisible wall.

(Something is there!!)

"…"

The boy, Kamijou Touma, slowly raised his head.

It was not some great action. There was no great speed to it. There was no special regularity to it.

He merely raised his head.

That was all.

Fiamma of the Right felt the muscles from his shoulder to the back of his neck stiffening.

It was coming.

He did not know what, but something he needed to be cautious of was coming.

IB also managed to block very casual attacks from Aiwass, who casually stomped an Invisible Thing described as being stronger than in previous occasions. It still managed to do this after Aiwass was powered up by Aleister's Blasting Rod spell, which would have made it 10 times stronger.

NT18 Chapter 4

It exploded.

What did? Before Kamijou's mind could catch up, he swung his fist forward and his right arm was bent at an odd angle from the shoulder. Not even the intense pain could keep up. Then something invisible burst from his shoulder and Aiwass grabbed it in his hand while still smiling.

"Ha ha!! It seems to have grown some, but it still has a long way to go. And its purity leaves much to be desired. Aleister, you've been making detours, haven't you!?"

"You talk too much."

"Very well."

It happened in the span of a breath. It was just like with Magic God Othinus back in Baggage City. Aiwass squeezed his hand and easily crushed whatever-it-was to death.

"Ah…gah!?"

The pain finally caught up.

Kamijou staggered back while holding his wobbling right shoulder.

"Ignorance truly is a frightening thing," said Aiwass. "Are you really entrusting your life to three-dimensional distance in a miniature garden where Euclid never applied in the first place?"

Something was coming.

Kamijou clenched his teeth, grabbed his destroyed shoulder, and mustered all of his strength to force the dislocated joint back into place.

As soon as he swung his arm, his body somersaulted 'backwards'. He had just forced his shoulder back into the socket in exchange for so much pain that his vision dimmed, but the joint was dislocated again just a few seconds later.

[...]

"The Blasting Rod."

That support spell would amplify an attack's power to 10 times what the target thought it would be.

It was now a solid wall.

Holy Guardian Angel Aiwass had been amplified 10 times.

Kamijou did not even have time to fix his dislocated shoulder. He grabbed his unreliably dangling right wrist with his left hand and forcibly pulled it forward just in time for the direct clash to hit.

His feet rose from the floor.

His body flew through the air and his back slammed into a colorless and invisible wall.

"G…bh!? Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!?"

A dull sound he had never heard before burst from within his body.

To be clear, this was what happened after Imagine Breaker negated everything it could.

Imagine Breaker was also able to destroy Othinus Gungnir while suffering some damage (two broken fingers, which is the most damaged IB has suffered so far) and is a tool that can be used to undo the Phase shifts done by Magic Gods.

NT9 Chapter 8 Gungnir

The action he took was simple.

He tightly clenched his right fist and used his entire body weight to thrust it forward.

No one would have been able to keep up with its overwhelming speed. Their bodies would have been smashed to pieces before they could even hope to follow the tip of the lance with their eyes.

But the experience he had built up accurately guided his movements.

He had achieved a surefire attack that would work on Magic God Othinus and no one else.

Kamijou Touma's right fist was sucked in toward the one point that no one else would have been able to reach.

His fist reached the sharp tip of Gungnir.

In that instant, all sound vanished from the world.

The kind world vanished and everything was dyed in black.

When Kamijou Touma's right fist struck it, the lance veered sharply upward.

When Othinus held up her hand, the lance rotated complexly and began to fly back to her hand through the black sky.

But it never completed the action.

The lance broke apart in midair and completely disintegrated before returning to Othinus like a boomerang.

"…"

Kamijou's fist did not escape unscathed.

The middle and ring finger of his supposedly tightly clenched fist had been twisted at a distinctly odd angle.

NT9 Undoing Phases

(That must mean Imagine Breaker is special to her. It destroys. It does the opposite of what a god does. This hand holds the possibility of erasing what is unnecessary. In that case, it should be possible to fix the gears that have been thrown out of order.)

Ollerus had said Imagine Breaker was the selfish dreams of all magicians.

If their twisting of the world produced a disadvantageous result, that reference point or restoration point could return it to normal or erase what was done.

[...]

"According to Ollerus, Imagine Breaker is an accumulation of the hopes of all magicians. He said it's a reference point to return the world to normal after it is twisted by their desires. I don't know if that's its true origin, but it can be used like that. You could say this is the other card you could play. It represents the original world. Instead of adding 'on 'another layer of paint, you can use this like a palette knife to slowly peel away the previous layers."

It should also be noted that Imagine Breaker is considered to be the "ultimate shield" counterpart to World Rejecter's "ultimate weapon". World Rejecter shares the same origin as Imagine Breaker and is also said to be made of the portion of the power of the Magic Gods that shifted from Touma to a possible replacement, Kakeru. While World Rejecter can easily erase IB, the two seem to be considered somewhat comparable powers.

NT14 World Rejecter and Imagine Breaker

"Yes, although it would be wrong to think of Imagine Breaker in the same way as Academy City's powers." Nephthys sounded somewhat exasperated. "Have you ever heard that Imagine Breaker is a gathering of the dreams held by all of those who use magic? They would love to change the world as they see fit, but they're afraid of messing everything up in the process. So they wanted a clear restoration point or reference point they could use to restore everything if needed. The meter, the kilogram, degrees Celsius, the periodic table, and more. Your 'right hand' functions as an unchanging standard for all units."

It was a confusing way of putting it, but he was pretty sure Ollerus had said something similar.

Imagine Breaker was a safety that had gathered the dreams of all magicians.

That definition had even been at the heart of his battle with the full-powered Othinus. Kamijou could only rejoice that he was back in the "original world" because Othinus had used that restoration point.

"I haven't checked on any of the details, but based on what Kamisato himself said, there is a connection between the origins of Imagine Breaker and World Rejecter."

"?"

"Imagine Breaker protects, restores, and clings to the existing world. It is a collection of that ideal."

While wrapped in her bandages, Nephthys breathed the heated breath of the sickly.

"The World Rejecter inside Kamisato's right hand is the exact opposite. His hand has the ability to cast his target into a 'new world' and erase their existence. In other words, it abandons and gives up on the current world to take a trip to another world. It is a collection of that illusion."

"I see."

Othinus was the first to speak up.

As a fellow Magic God, she had a better common understanding with Nephthys than did Index, who sat 'at' the stage before becoming a Magic God. That allowed her to catch on more quickly.

"Imagine Breaker was the dreams of all '''''
magicians, but did some power escape it? Did some percentage of 'all magicians' subconsciously doubt they would truly be safe if they continued relying on Imagine Breaker as it is?"

"It goes without saying, but 99.9% of the magic side's total power is held by us Magic Gods. We may be a minority in numbers, but each one of us has 'far,' far more power. The human magic side covers half the world, yet it cannot match even the tip of one of our hairs."

"In other words, World Rejecter appeared inside this Kamisato because you all were disappointed in Kamijou Touma. Hah hah! I can see why he would hold a grudge. It's like a cell being devoured by the apoptosis it created!! Did you enjoy getting the entire world caught up in your suicide!?"

[...]

"Before even thinking about this strange bond, I was simply curious."

"…"

"My World Rejecter and your Imagine Breaker are the ultimate weapon and the ultimate shield. If the world's two most extreme irregulars clash, which one will win?"

In summary, I think IB should be changed to "At least Multi-Planet level (Can deflect Othinus crossbow bolts, it's apparently used to seal IT, which is much stronger than La Persona Superiore a Dio!Fiamma and barely negated casual attacks from a powered up Aiwass that casually destroyed a stronger IT than the one from WWIII), likely higher, possibly Universe level+ (IB can be used to undo a phase shift, negated and destroyed Othinus' Gungnir, it's the "ultimate shield" counterpart to World Rejecter's "ultimate weapon")"

2) Vento of the Front has no speed feats nor does she scale to anyone on that so she should be downgraded to Peak Human speed for keeping up with Touma. The same can be said of Fiamma, who doesn't even move around much during fights except for teleportation, though his Holy Right reactions can stay.

I agree with this.

One question: Do you think it is reasonable to scale Fiammas reactions without Holy Right from Terra's reactions?

While we are at it, Ive been wondering about this for a long time but why do we not rate people MHS for blitzing Toumas reactions? Theres quite a few people who come to mind

@DontTalk

Since the series doesn't alwasy directly scale things like that maybe, but wouldn't that argument also apply to Aleister? Though maybe Fiamma without HR would scale to Ollerus and Othinus giving he could help Ollerus fight her.

@LordAizenSama

I've made my argument about Touma's "reactions" a few times, and I still maintain it should be removed from his page. They aren't true reactions, it's timing his defense through his precog by observing the enemy before attacks are launched, which shouldn't be considerered for reactions as they are more like aimdodging.

"Her arrows hold enough power to easily destroy one or two planets, even though they are fired with such speed, that instead of causing an explosion they would pierce right through them without the impact propagating"

Would that even be 5-A? Shouldn't it be calced?

Multi-Planet level isn't a thing anymore, also.

@Promestein

I was taking the rating from Othinus page, which was written as Multi-Planet instead of Large Planet the last time I looked at it. Looks like that gets downgraded too.

@Lazyhunter that is false. Hes blocked mid air lightning from level 6 misaka like Gunha did.

Now that someone mentions it, Othinus should be 5-B with the arrows not 5-A.

In regards to Toumas precog stuff: Well, it says reaction timing through precognition, not reactions.

Personally, I think there should be at least a note in his speed section that points out that he can to some degree deal with stuff at such high speeds through his technique. Though if a different formulation of the is preferred I am fine with that as well.

If he had MHS reactions without precog he should be able to fight Saints and casually dodge bullets, two things he's repeatedly been stated and proven to unable to do no matter what. The manga thing is an outlier, it's been mentioned that Touma blocks lightning from Mikoto because of precog and his extended right hand acting as a lightning rod, so he should have had IB ready to block in earlier panels, as even the lowest speed given for Mikoto's lightning in the novels should be too fast for him.

On Touma's speed, I'm inclined to agree with LordAizen. Gunha and Touma are looking away and arguing before the lightning arrives and they casually knock it down/nullify it in time.

He blocked mid air lightning, yes. But I think there wasn't a calculable one in there. (e.g. in case of the one he and Gunha blocked, which Gunha punched down, he already had his hand outstretched)

That aside I think the novel is pretty clear in saying that Touma requires stuff like precog to deal with lightning or a railgun. (wasn't it even mentioned at some point that Touma can not deal with guns or something?)

So even if there is such a feat that would be an outlier in my opinion.

@Reppuzan: Consider Touma doesn't react to the visible lightning. He reacts to the feeling and effects of the electromagnetic field that is produced before the lightning even appears. (that is teh way his precog works in this case)

Hence where he is looking is essentially irrelevant.

edit: Just to give the quote on that.

"For example, even if a right hand that could negate any ability exists, how could the one using it match his opponent's timing? A railgun attack was over three times the speed of sound, and lightning strikes were even faster. Even with a method of defending himself, to be able to time it right was extremely difficult. Even missing the timing by only an instant would probably result in death. In that situation, how could the scenario "Every single attack is negated easily" happen? From the situation now, Accelerator could make a rough estimate.

In other words... Precognition. For example, when the Railgun used her ability, she would give off weak magnetic fields and electromagnetic waves that would make the metal items around her resonate. Because of the eventual large explosion, the Railgun herself probably wouldn't notice these tiny vibrations like an earthquake's precursor. 'To see the invisible magnetic force, spread iron sand onto it to make it visible to the naked eye', just like an elementary school experiment. So, because of these "An Involuntary Movements", there would be hints to when the Railgun would attack. Of course, that was not all. That was not the only kind. Even though her ability was more common compared to Accelerator's ability, she was still the #3 esper of Academy City, and shouldn't be blocked that easily. There were probably other reasons as well. For example, the lightning strike. If it was only high voltage electricity flow, by extending his right hand the lightning would be attracted onto it, with the right hand acting like a lightning rod. Also, the iron-sand sword. Apart from the sword in her hand, the iron sand around her would also change shape due to the magnetic force. In other words, a 'visible magnetic path' would be formed that could be used to predict where the strike would end up. Depending on the situation, he could even negate the sword without coming in contact with it just by touching the iron sand around him."

As DontTalk says, the novel explicitely points to his precog for his reactions to things like Mikoto's lightning when Accelerator figures out how the hell can Touma deal with Mikoto's attacks. And he is stated several times to be unable to do anything against guns and things/people on that level of speed and higher.

NT3 Chapter 1

"It was probably originally created as a countermeasure for your Imagine Breaker. Foot crushing and high speed battling… it's almost too obvious. They confirmed your survival the other day using Radiosonde Castle, so Gremlin now sees you as their natural enemy. Your right fist is a powerful trump card, but it's pointless if you can't hit them. Having enough speed to dodge a bullet is a so-so countermeasure."

NT3 Chapter 3 Part 7

She pulled something out of her turtleneck. It was a product that could be found lined up even at supermarkets in a major gun country like America.

"We will kill you using normal, everyday methods that do not involve the supernatural at all."

"!!"

Kamijou had no power that gave him the ability to deflect or dodge a bullet.

If you decide that it is a outlier that's fine, but if thats the case ill have to agree with Lazyhunter about Toumas reactions on his page. It should be removed.

@Aizen: Well some other profiles have something like "higher reactions with precognition" listed as well, so in my opinion there should be some mentioning that he can deal with certain much faster attacks using it.

That aside, if this would not get further input (looks like it, not further suprising) we have Celestial Pegasus being fine with the changes. The rest at least didn't seem to have something to say against the changes, so maybe it is fine to apply this?

The problem is that it might give people who are unfamiliar with Touma the idea that he can handle guns or much faster opponents, but I'm okay with bringing it up.

So to sum up, these are the following changes to be implemented:

-Othinus' Crossbow is downgraded to Planet level.

-Vento's Speed is downgraded to Peak Human

-Fiamma Speed is downgraded to Peak Human with Lightspeed reactions via Holy Right (Holy Right defended Fiamma from an satellite laser cannon) <- Just noticed it's missing the justification

-Touma's IB possibly Universe level is changed to Universe level+, since Othinus' downgrade leaves its Planet level rating untouched. His speed section is also put as "Peak Human, though he can defend himself from much faster supernatural ranged attacks via Precognition"

LazyHunter said:
Though maybe Fiamma without HR would scale to Ollerus and Othinus giving he could help Ollerus fight her.
Should we add that as well? (with possibly or likely, I suppose?)

Aside form that this is everything, I suppose.

Oh, right. Likely seems fine given that he actually participated in the fights.

All changes except for Othinus' downgrade have been made. I can do that one now if someone unlocks her page.

LazyHunter asked me to close this thread.
