I guess because I can, so I created this...So evil vs evil.. both use their at least 2-A stats(for zeed does not matter in which form as long as it at least 2-A) both are bloodlusted and battle happen in indestructible infinite universes.

For Satan...

First we have Kagutsuchi, who is the embodiment of an infinite multiverse and the concepts of time and both creation and destruction in it. He's completely worthless, and higher leveled demons were completely unaffected by his death which took the multiverse and said concepts with him.

Then there is Metatron, the All-Seeing Voice of God. He's an important Avatar of YHVH, certainly more so than Kagutsuchi. He too is rendered worthless by higher-ends. The Demiurge, another, higher aspect of YHVH casually swats Metatron as if he were a fly.

Then we have Lucifer as above The Demiurge. He is immensely stronger than any other angel of Heaven, which includes the likes of Metatron and Sandalphon. As an example of how strong the God Tiers of SMT are, Hordes of Metatron are fought as regular encounters in Endgame Assassin and are dealt with easily.

In IV, Lucifer obtains a new form, described as himself as far superior than all his previous forms. The Archangels in response fuse into forming Merkabah, who matches Lucifer's new power. Both forms also have stronger Second Forms.

... And both Lucifer and Merkabah are scared shitless of Lord Krishna, and even Lord Krishna is far from unmatched, as he has obtained a lot of his power from the now weakened Inanna, the Mother of All Gods.

Innana at full strength is likely to be comparable to Mem Aleph, the Mother of All Demons. How strong is Mem Aleph? Well, in SMT: Strange Journey, she is displayed as superior to Merged Demiurge. Merged Demiurge is The Demiurge fused with Metatron, who is so powerful he is said to be approaching YHVH's former glory. Mem Aleph is above him.

And all of the above are beneath Satan, who acts as God's Judge and Executioner and is the strongest being aside from YHVH. Even Satan's Solar-Data, which is vastly weaker, proves way stronger than Brahman, the Supreme God of Hinduism who is likely on Lord Krishna's level.
 
Before putting who I think will win, Satan isn't necessarily evil, as he is not based off of his Christian Version(Megami Tensei II's version might have been.). Until SMT IV FInal, DeSu2 and SMT II were the pinnacle of this franchise's power. Matthew put it really well, but when you throw in the more minor demons who are still above Kagutsuchi the list becomes massive. Satan is above ALL of these characters, and is even above IV Apocalypse's cast until VishnuFlynn makes his debut, and steps an entire dimension up. My vote goes to S8N.


BTW, you may want to change the pictures to Zeed's sealed form, and SMT II Satan to avoid confusion, as Unsealed v.s. SMT IV Apocalypse Satan will spark a massive debate, and bring everybody who was in the VishnuFlynn(Who to my knowledge SMT IV Apocalypse Satan is above) and Unsealed Zeed.
 
For Zeed.

Zeed is hilariously above the Royal Knights. So much stronger than the Royal Knights that him as much as laying a finger on them was enough to nearly kill them. Said Royal Knights were in their tip-top potential and were capable of fighting Mother Eater. Mother Eater itself is vastly superior to Yggdrasil, who had higher dimensional abilities (described as being Hyperdimensional) and was strong enough to affect "All Worlds", referring to the Digital World Megaverse, which contains a vast number of Multiplexers such as the Digital World, Material World, Dream World, Golden World, Dark Area, Dark Ocean, Quantum Ocean etc, all are infinite in size.

Zeed is also well above Ogudomo. Ogudomon is vastly superior to True Form Lucemo Satan Mode, who is vastly superior to True Form Lucemon Falldown Mode, who was stated to be infinitely stronger than an infinite number of his avatars, all of which vary from 3-A/Low 2-C to 2-A in power. He's also well above Daemo who survived a confrontation with God, though was otherwise stomped. Theirs also some strong implications that the Demon Lords are higher dimensional (4 to 6 D) beings, and Sealed Zeed is superior to them.
 
Zeed may put up a fight, but I doubt he will be capable of taking down Satan due to his Mid to High-Godly Regen.
 
Zeed also has Mid-Godly Regen. His weaker form, Moon is stated to be able to completely come back from the dead.

Existing within Millenniumon's inner world, it is a soul Digimon. As a result of Millenniumon's dark spirit becoming a Digimon, it does not possess a fixed form. Although it often takes the shape of a crystal, it seems that, due to its hatred and anger against the enemies who oppose it, that shape can be changed. Also, as a soul it does not have substance, and so it is immune to physical attacks. To defeat Moon Millenniumon, one must first defeat Millenniummon, its true form, but it's likely there are virtually no Digimon who are up to that task. Also, even if by some chance Millenniumon is defeated, it is said that it will separate from its now-dead true form and be revived throughout time and space. Its Special Move is "Death Crystal", and while it does not possess a corporeal destructive force, it is said that it chops up the opposing Digimon's spirit.

Which was demonstrated when he came back after he, his pocket reality [in which he was omnipresent within] and his psychical form were destroyed in the final battles of D-1 Tamer.
 
I'm tempted to vote for Satan (partially due to him being my absolute favorite SMT character, tbh), but if this is a battle to complete obliteration, I'm not sure either can put the other down permanently. If this is just a battle to like...first destruction, I'd have to think.
 
Uggh, this is hard. I want to vote Zeed but as Azzy stated they cannot really put each other down for good.
 
Well, if everything is as you say (all of the other SMT profiles still need regen added to them) then I call stalemate. All Satan can really do is chuck Almighty attacks at Zeed, which he'll regenerate from. Every time Zeed blows up Satan's physical form, Satan will also regenerate.
 
Well, it is. That is why the series is called the "Digital Devil Story". As explained in the original Novels, and I imagine in the original SMT game, summoning demons through artificial / digital means is immensely easier than through physical rituals, as their true nature is one of data / information. Nakajima summons Loki through code on computer simulating all the components needed for a summoning ritual, and it proves completely effective. Stephen in the SMT series invents the Demon Summoning Program, which functions similarly.

Another evidence is that demons need an element called Magnetite to materialize in the physical universe. Well, at least weaker demons do, stronger can do it by themselves.

So pretty much SMT Demons are Digimon-like beings. Wait if he's data then Zeed may have an advantage......Key word: May. Also I thougth Al Saiduq created the DSP

The thing about data-entities is that Zeed is constantly eating them for breakfast to make itself stronger. Everything around him is torn apart, compressing and twisting space, time, and reality and converting it into data for it to absorb. Having them already made of data just makes it easier for him.

Consuming, devouring and destroying other data-entities are something High-level SMT chars can also do. Kagutsuchi himself is just a Low-Level emanation of YHVH and he is the entirety of an infinite multiverse with it's own concepts of time, space, creation and destruction, and Satan is the most powerful emanation of YHVH except for his own Heads.

In short, both characters are extremely broken and I find it hard to quantify who can destroy whom.

Yeah, I'm gonna go inconclusive too. Satan appears to be on a higher level of 2-A (2-A power-scaling is fun..), but I dunno if either side can really finish the other off.

Deep down, everybody loves Satan. He's the guy that nobody really talks about, but when he shows up, everything stops just for him to steal the show. He's still law, but has much more of a personality to him than somebody like Demiurge.

But yeah, you're definitely right. In my opinion, he's always been one of the most interesting characters in the series, and I've always been quite fond of his design. The Apocalypse version didn't disappoint, either.
 
His slow talk with YHVH in II's Law Route about how he has one last sinful soul to judge is ******* phenomenal.
 
I'll throw in a wrench to the current opinion and propose that Satan simply seals ZeedMilennium to end this match.

Hell, Jesus loved Satan so much, he read him scripture. The Talmud talks about the guy(and Metatron too!).

There NEEDS to be an SMT Sitcom named "Everybody Loves Satan" about the everyday life of the arbiter.

But yeah, you are putting 2 at least 2-A's here right? Seeing as they are both in the same level, I dunno how we're gonna get any conclusions. Speaking of which... how well would Zeed's duplication ability work against Satan?
 
Inconclusive, I cant see anything that Satan has that will put Zeed down, and Zeed doesnt have anything that would put HIM DOWN
 
I'm actually starting to lean towards inconclusive, but I still see Satan winning combat wise, considering he's a lesser YHVH carrying similar Insta-Kills. If YHVH is the strongest 2-A in terms of Attacking and making stomps, Zeed is the strongest in Defense and being an overall nuisance.
 
I think this one is inconclusive due to how strong both combatant is. So it would be good to close this thread. Dont know about other member though.
 
yeah, ive said it before but, Satan cannot overcome anything Zeed has, and vice versa. There's nothing either could do to harm the other
