2x isn't really that much, but it can certainly help when it comes to fire, since being set on fire does continuous damage.

Also, how much heat have her weapons shown to be able to endure? Cause Spike's fire can melt right through metal in moments.

Nothing much that would help against that kind of fire. I don't think She has faced fire that hot

Yeah, he has the AP advantage, his AoE makes it hard to dodge, and he can set her on fire or melt her weapons. This seems pretty straight forwards.
