Fire girl battle: Fan Service vs Mommy Issues (grace)

Shoulda named the match "Fan Service vs Mommy Issues"

Anyway, with speed equal, I think Yang takes this. She's a fairly skilled h2h combatant, and both are relatively equal in AP. Though, Yang has the raw strength advantage via her semblance and aura, so eventually she overpowers Tamaki and takes the W.

Yeah, Yang at this point is a lot more cool headed and calm during her fights instead of being an adrenaline junky like in the first season, so she likely gets the skill and experience edge.

She's also been training to fight giant monsters and rogue huntsmen since before she attended Beacon, so there's that to.

Not to say that Tamaki hasn't trained as well, as we know that Fire Soldiers have to go to an academy in order to learn how to fight against Infernals before joining into a squad, it's just that she hasn't had the amount of showing or feats as Yang has.

Tamaki.

While she lacks the amount of experience Yang does, she still is rather good at H2H, and with the recent buffs she's getting against Hika and Hina, she's far faster with her full form Nekomata.

Yeah but Yangs aura gives her an edge in durability while her semblance will boost her stats every time she takes damage or gets angry. So every time Tamaki damages her, Yang will just get a boost which will help her keep up.

That's very true, but should things become far too much for her to handle, she could just fly and simply attack from a distance and Yang has no way to reach her.

She has ranged attacks in the form of her shot gun gauntlets and can also fly up to her using said gauntlets to launch herself at her.

She can't fly, she can only propel herself, which has limited ammo.

Her ranged attacks can be fought back with Tamaki's projectiles, and given how Nekomata full form makes her faster and likely stronger, she could definitely retaliate.

Yeah, but it's not like it takes much ammo to propel herself very far.

Already discussed how Yang counters Nekomata full form.

Is that in character for her to do? Iirc she mostly likes to keep coming at the enemy rather than play cat and mouse (heh).

Plus, Yang knows how to be a patient fighter at this point. If she sees Tamaki trying to run away, she isn't just gonna blindly spam her ammo to chase her, especially not until the point where she'll run out (though she appears to carry a bunch of ammo considering how she usually has to fight through hordes of enemies). Plus, she can turn her semblance off and on at will via controlling her emotions.

And another thing about her ranged attacks. Not only does Yang have the better range (hundreds of meters vs tens of meters), but a lot of her ammo either have an explosive impact or have crazy good AoE. So trying to block or dodge all of them is gonna be an issue given that they'll either blow up upon contact, but there'll also be ground pound created shockwaves devastating the area. Quake and Blast Wave will make it dangerous to try and stay around to snipe since they'll be knocking Tamaki around while she's trying to dodge Yang's blasts.

She's rather smart, and knows when she may be outmatched. Nekomata in its first form is rather equal to Yang in stats, so Nekomata full form should logically blitz her, since it was able to evade Hika and Hina quite easily.

So it's an unquantifiable boost in strength, but it's undeniable that Tamaki should be faster if she's pushed to that form, and would have no problem dodging her and her attacks. Keep in mind, Tamaki is easily capable of using her flame tails as a whip (she has done this), so she might not even need to throw projectiles back should she take flight.

I'm not even sure if this is an argument, but a trained fighter like Assault was completely... beaten? By Tamaki's Lucky Lewd Syndrome, to the point where he couldn't beat her not even once.

@Milly

  • Tamaki's lucky leecher syndrome working on Yang
.....I'd be down for watching that ending

@COB

Well iirc it's helped her keep up with people that were previously mopping the floor with her just moments ago, so it does provide a speed boost. Though there were times that she was outmatched in the past (Neo, Adam)

To what degree do they both boost their speed? Honestly I don't recall Yang having that. Thought she was more about power
Yang usually ends up blitzing a lot of opponents after her semblance activated.

Thank you PTS (great name for the match btw lol) and Weekly

I'm not gonna vote yet but right now on tie. I don't really think Yang blitzed anyone though and more like took them by surprise by her sudden boost.

Anyway, to vote

Either

Tamaki beats up Yang, Yang uses her semblance and one shots.

Or

Yang just uses her superior expirience and wins normally

Tamaki has flown away from Combat literally one time, to assume she's going to do it again because her opponent is a threat to her without knowing Aura runs on it doesn't seem right, plus, she needs to get close to use stronger attacks anyway

Flying away is also moot as Tamaki doesn't have ranged attacks to abuse

Yang FRA

Tamaki's tail whips are easily capable of extending themselves to coil and toss opponents. She has many long ranged flaming attacks and projectiles, and likely isn't hitting Tamaki anytime soon, especially with the speed boost Nekomata gives.

Yang should have more than enough lifting strength to muscle her way out of being restrained

Yang has projectiles too

Thing is, none of this can even hit Tamaki. Stamina isn't a problem for her, as even when nearly dead, nearly stabbed through, etc, she was able to activate BASIC Nekomata.

Pain tolerance and stamina arent the same thing, Yang is able to fight for a full day before needing to rest

<Points to every other fight

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, she got slapped out of the sky when she tried this.
