I jump on the Mysterio train: Mysterio vs Merak

Rules: Speed Equalized. This is 8-C Merak. Both have a day of prep, and during that day the internet is down just to give Merak a little more motivation.

How does Merak's BFR and Hacking work?

Also, are there any counters to Mysterio's illusion creation and unlimited summoning by Merak?

Merak's BFR has him create a portal and just yeet characters elsewhere. If he isn't under strict orders to kill his target, this is what he uses in character. His hacking just means he's really good at hacking. And by good at hacking I mean so good at hacking that his hacking can beat out Teseo, who is a genius in his own right and who's superpower is literally hacking. Merak's Hacking > Teseo's Hacking > Gunvolt's Hacking, which was going to override the controls of a millitary ship that likely had an incredible firewall. He also used said hacking during combat in his fight with Teseo. He also has incredible computer Viruses that the aforementioned Teseo was genuinly worried about ruining his computer despite his abilities.

Merak is willing to run for a bit with his portals to try and get a better strategy. With prep, he also probably could get some Sumeragi Mechs and soliders, as well. Merak is a genius strategist, like when he lured Gunvolt into a submarine and flooded it. He would have actually killed Gunvolt if it wern't for his minions stopping the flooding to save their own lives. Not to mention Merak is perfectly willing to just fill the entire area with lasers with his portals, which could possibly let him figure out where Mysterio is.

Isn't this extremely stompish then? Merak can disable drones, nulling Mysterio's 8-C, accurately locate him and BFR him. Not to mention that in a single day, Mysterio can't likely make his more complex and well hidden illusions like Hydroman or Molten Man, and would likely resort to typical mindfuck.

Should I give Mysterio more prep? Also, Merak would need to know there are drones to disable them.

Does Merak even know the illusions are drones?

If Mysterio has enough prep, he can hide the drones. But there are instances in the film to prove that when he doesn't have enough, he doesn't bother with complex illusions, instead just disorients the opponents with the drones being visible, like the final fight with Spider-Man

The drones are usually invisible anyway, so if Merak doesn't inherently know about them, the illusions should work on him.

Well if the illusions do really work on him without Merak figuring out the drone thing, my vote goes for Mysterio.

Beck's illusions are extremely disorienting and relentless in attacking his foes, with the opponent having to dodge danmaku coming from almost all directions constantly, and Beck can activate them almost instantly. It is shown that were it not for Spider-Man's spider-sense literally telling him where the next attack was coming from, he couldn't have predicted it, and this is at the point where MCU Spider-Man is a somewhat experienced combatant

If Mysterio messed with Merak's Video game he wouldn't stand a chance. That's basically the equivilant of bloodlusting him. When someone did that, he literally went to their house and captured them

Knowing Merak's character, he'd probably attack the illusions with his chair. Do Mysterio's illusions work on machines?

They're holograms, so they likely do work on anything without good enhanced senses
