Heroes vs Monsters - Cole MacGrath vs Orochi (OPM) (Grace)

"Dammit Zeke, this is the last time I let you write out the directions" Cole MacGrath grumbled as he traversed the sewers. "First you eat the last slice of pie that I had been saving for myself, then you send me on a goodwill mission into the smelly sewers to fix some busted water pipes, and now, your shitty directions have me walking in circles" the Electric Man griped as he expertly leapt through a series of pipes to land on a nearby platform. "Am I even in New Marais anymore? I feel like I've been walking for awhile..." he said as he walked along the platform into a stone hallway, a completely different area from where he was before.

"Where the hell am I? This doesn't look like anyplace I've seen in the New Marais sewers..." the hero said as he walked through the hallway into a large open room, where he saw... "A giant snake monster?" Said monster looked over to the intruder, and immediately stood up from its throne. "Uhhhhh, hey man. Sorry for barging in, got a little lost down in the sewers. I'll just be going now..." Cole said as he made for the exit, only for a tentacle to destroy the stone hallway that he came from, trapping him in the room. "I do not how you got in, but I sense that you are too powerful a threat to let go, especially now that you know where my base is" the giant monster said as its form begun spewing fire from the numerous snake like monsters that made up its body, getting into a fighting stance.

Letting out a sigh of annoyance, Cole got into his own fighting stance, lightning dancing around his form "Dammit Zeke, learn how to give directions"

FIGHT!

inFamous 2 Good Cole vs High 6C Orochi

Location: Orochi's Throne Room, Monster Association Base

SPEED EQUALIZED

WHO WINS AND WHY?

The Hero:
7 (The Wright Way, Schnee One, Ciruno Fortes, KobsterHope07, Kirby71, The Real Eugene Sims, StarSlayer666)

The Monster:

Inconclusive

But he's implied to be massively stronger than Vaccine Man, so much so that we have to leave him likely much higher

I mean it's not that unbelievable

He's much stronger than Vaccine Man, which likely includes his battle form, which is > VM's base, where he casually performed the 30 mt feat with little effort

Basically it's like this:

Technique Mimicry: Can copy opponents moves and techniques after seeing them once. He copied Garou's martial art after seeing it once

Breath Attack and Energy Projection: The snakes that make up his body breathe out a fiery energy beams/rays

Body Control: The snakes that make up his body can extend and shapeshifter to give him a longer reach, or to attack. The spike near his head can do this as well.

Martial Arts: Read above

Large Size: he's an absolute unit, be in awe. He's at least a few dozen feet tall iirc

Okay, so if it just copies martial arts techniques, then Cole shouldn't have much issue. He doesn't really do hand to hand combat. Breath attack and energy projection are neat, but Cole can probably deflect and block them with ease. Cole severely outranges, seems to outskill in every caregory except hand to hand, and uses tactics that take advantage of these strengths.

Cole's also far more maneuverable, although body control goes some towards mitigating this, I just don't see the monster king keeping up all too easily given the size difference.

I see this fight playing out like this. Orochi starts off firing lasers. Cole responds in kind and proceeds to dominate the engagement. He's in his element in a ranged fight and would likely dodge and deflect the lasers with ease. Orochi quickly realizes A. Cole is far better at a distance and B. His attacks hurt like hell. Orochi figures that if Cole us this good at a distance, then melee is likely his best bet, abd tries to close the gap. He'd initially find some success as Cole's never quite dealt with Body Control before. Regardless, Cole adapts and takes the advantage. He creates distance with shockwaves, forces him to evade by throwing gernades at his feet, and actually hits him while he's dodging with homing missiles. While Orochi could likely shapeshift out of the restraints if the gernades hit him, they'd still leave him pretty open for Cole to fry him.

While the fights setting means Cole can't easily recharge, I don't see the fight lasting long enough for this to matter and if it does, Cole can always leach Orochi himself if he gets lucky. Worst case scenario, resurrection.

Cole 8/10, he just as far to many options that Orochi just can't deal with.

Just as a side note, Orochi could also use the snake: from parts part of his body to shoot a bunch of beams from multiple angels, in a way that's sort of like danmaku.

I could see that causing trouble. Regen, higher durability, and shields all work to take care of that though.

Would be more dangerous if it can also copy powers. But nah. Orochi is mostly biological. Just like Alex Mercer. With Cole's range, dodging game, and overall spammy attacks, it's safe to say he'll pull off a win.

I will say Im pretty sure Orochi is a more skilled fighter then Cole, but it goes about the same as Wright said

Cole FRA

Cole's not exactly skilled in any close combat style that doesn't rely on using his power anyway. But with it yeah

Also Cole FRA if I wasn't obvious

Orochi might end up scaling to Tatsumaki. His profile is kinda lowballing him imo but that can't be helped due to the lack of feats.

We also haven't seen the limits to Tatsumaki either but that's a totally different discussion.

I mean, if he does then we just switch to High 6-C Cole, who has even more options than this one and might still be stronger if I remember correctly.

Well since Cole probably isn't gonna get a 7A key, just gonna use their High 6-C versions

Votes have been reset

I mean, this is really just the same reasons as before, only Cole has some extra options in the form of tornados, ice, and such.

Just wanted to be fair.

Plus, Orochi got some insane heat beam feats in the last couple chapters, so it may change some people's minds

Cole for these reasons and more since inFAMOUS 2 is even more versatile then before

The reasons don't change, in fact they're actually more valid now.
