9-B Monster Brackets Remastered Round 6

While Omega 09 and the Sarcosuchus battled with each other, deeper within the great lake, a Feebas swam away from the chaos. The fish Pokemon would rather not get caught between two big predators, and so she swam further down into the lake, aiming to just hide away until this blew over.

Unfortunately for her, life had its ways of screwing over one's plans, for a large shape was rapidly swimming towards her from above. Seeing a large shape coming down at her from overhead, Feebas gave a strong swing of her tail as she darted away from the oncoming threat. A pair of toothed jaws snapped shut just inches away from Feebas' tailfin as the Pokemon retreated a good distance away, before the fish turned to see a monster similar in appearance to the Sarcosuchus, but with seemingly exaggerated traits; its teeth were larger, its claws and osteoderms sharper and more curved. The monster looked incomplete, though, for large portions of the beast's hide were opened, exposing the bones and organs within, and the skin had yet to stretch over its jaws.

SCP-2946 swam towards Feebas, having absorbed some of the DNA of the resident Sarcosuchus currently battling Omega 09, and right now it aimed to consume Feebas for more sustenance.

Given the choice between flight or fight, Feebas decided to pick the latter as she dodged another snap of 2946's jaws, before lunging at her opponent for combat.

SCP-2946, submitted by Psychomaster35, vs Feebas, submitted by GyroNutz.

Fight takes place in a great lake, with both starting about 5 meters from each other.

Speed equalized.

SCP-2946 has already absorbed the DNA of a Sarcosuchus.

The Feebas in this fight is a level 100 wild female.

I don't see a way that feebas can win this, all 2 moves that do anything would be more detrenental to use.

Feebas can break apart the SCP in a feasible win scenario; it doesn't have Regenerationn from what I understand.

But can she, she has only two moves (excluding splash) Tackle and Flail both would end up with feebas getting covered in 2946 and being eaten alive.

Not voting yet but

2946 win condition is if it hits feebas and absorbs it abilities and or eats it alive

Feebas wins by eather using an ice move and puting the virus in stacous or using dragon pulse to destroy them.

Not really sure which is more likely.

From what I have heard, it has low intelligence. Im sure it will do splash more often not even doing damage, causing the E.Coli to come up to it and absorb it.

1. How does the SCP count as a beast?

2. If it's a literal disease, doesn't that mean it's microscopic? In which case, how would feebas know that the thing even exists?

2946 can fuse into a form similar to whatever multicellular organic matter it absorbs, so it's not exactly microscopic anymore.

The Feebas splashes, and the SCP eats and absorbs it. It has unlimited stamina, compared to Feebas' High.

Going with the SCP for the reasons provided above. The fish thing will likely go for a close attack or an attack SCP can easily shake off. Then the SCP just gets close and absorbs.

Oh, I see now. The Feebas isn't in water. A fish out of water, how weird.

But given Feebas doesn't really have much they can do, I suppose I'll also go with SCP here.

I'd have to say Feebas, even the dumbest pokemon uses it's strongest attack first and since this is a level 100 Feebas it can be presumed that it knows it's way around a battle

Well, the Feebas is rather random. Most of the time, due to its dumbest intelligence, it would do Splash.

Even the least intelligent animals would not just flop around when cornered and if Feebas has offensive move it is silly to assume that it would just use splash

I mean even at random there a 1 in 30 chance of randomly using a splash and about a 7 in 30 chance of doing a move that would kill him

Keyword:7/30. Thats only a 7/30 chance Feebas will win. If it screws up doing the wrong move, which is a 23/30 chance, 2946 wins.

first of you got what I said reversed

Secondly over ferther investigation it closer to 18 to 30 of the move that'll make him win

Wrong. Only 10 of its moves are attacking moves. And if it gets poisoned? And if it rests? Then its over.

I'm not even sure what's going on here.

Feebas is low in intelligence, not mentally impaired. It's in a battle, it has attack moves, it's gonna use them. There's no chance of random flopping around just because it has the move.

Literally every wild Pokemon encounter. Think logically. What do you think its gonna do? You cant think. Its random unless a Trainer is controlling it to do a move rather than using itself while wild. Do you see what I mean?

So pretty much every Pokemon in the wild is a Russian roulette likely to kill itself by simply doing a random move.

Ever heard of gameplay and story dissonance?

Pokemon are actually skilled in battles though. A feebas isn't gonna be so dumb that it isn't gonna try to defend itself and flop around like an idiot. You're claiming it has no survival instincts in the slightest when that is false.

Having low intellect doesn't mean that you can't defend yourself. Even the most stupidest people try to protect themselves.

Actually, that's a good point. We consider various animals to have "low intellect" but they still either fight or run when put in a dangerous situation.

I'll retract my vote for now.

But... can you defend yourself from airborne poison? This is what 2946 has that will try to weaken its opponant.
