So, there isn't a 'Weaknesses' page, is there a reason?

I was thinking about how pretty much every other important stat that can be shown has its own page, why doesn't weaknesses? If there is a reason for this, please let me know. If there isn't, I'd like to make a page for it.

Should have waited for more input before making the page; but I support having this page as well. It is especially the Bureaucrats that need to approve it first.

I don't mind this idea as such, but the page text would have to be properly revised to look professional, and then linked to in all of our character profiles, which would mean that Promestein would have to be willing to let her bot account's automated text replacement script run for 1-2 days.

Yes, we would need to properly decide what the page should say before we create it, and also check if Promestein would be willing to use her bot account to add links to it in every profile page.

Why do we even need a weakness page. That word in itself is self-explanatory.

And regarding the other self-explanatory pages you mentioned like Intelligence, I would point out that those pages have certain ratings like Average, Genius, etc. that need to be defined within the page so that each character can be assigned a proper rating.

But weakness of every character is different and subjective, you can't classify it into different groups.

EDIT: Stamina also has categories like low, high and infinite. Although I think the page needs some work in describing them.

AKM makes a good point. A weaknesses page is likely redundant.

The stamina page probably needs to be improved on, yes. We cannot get too specific with defining categories though. It would be impossible to retroactively make sure that the terms have been used properly in all of our character profiles.

The issue is if there is a point to such a massive revision when the page would be redundant.

Yes, I mean it's also subjective. There can be no hard and fast requirements but at least we can provide a rough description of what having low, high or limitless stamina means, and maybe a couple examples of each. Right now, the stamina page only serves the purpose of telling what classifies as infinite stamina.

@AKM

True enough. Do you have any suggestions?

I need some time to think about it. I'll get back to you later.

Honestly, I don't think it would hurt to make a Weakness page; especially considering that there are some people who don't know what does or doesn't qualify as a weakness. And there's also different categories and archetypes of weaknesses; which can include personal weaknesses such as a character's ego, elemental weaknesses/kryptonites, or limitations for certain abilities. The Weakness page could also list some standard weaknesses that most human characters have so we don't have to include; "still needs to eat, sleep, and breathe in order to survive."

I also agree that stamina page should get improvements because there are some contradictories here in there; some people have Peak Human, Superhuman, ect while others just say High, Very High, Extremely High. I kinda prefer a system more strait forward and an example for each. And it's especially Limitless and Nearly Limitless that require specific rules to qualify.

@Titan

Somewhat, but links were incorporated into the pages almost from the beginning.

@AKM

Okay. Thanks.

If there is a weaknesses page, it should clarify what to write for normal humans. Usually they're given "None notable" but sometimes I see "Normal human weaknesses" or something to that effect.

Normal human weaknesses simply means that we are vulnerable to pretty much anything, from lack of breathing to poison and disease.

@DDM

If we create a weakness page like you said, the most we can do is define the meaning of personal and elemental weaknesses, which again is pretty common. It still won't be productive in the regard that all 20K profiles have their unique personal/elemental weaknesses and we can't classify them in groups like we do for Intelligence or Range.

Plus, a wiki wide revision just to define the meaning of personal/elemental weakness is not something I'd recommend. I'd obviously help out if that's what gets decided tho.

Sure but our pages should be consistent in whether human profiles get "None notable" or "Normal human weaknesses".

@AKM Sama, Wouldn't even need much of a revision much less just a simple bot can link the page to every profile. It would simply be for elaborating details, not much of a wiki wide revision also.
