The Thing vs Batman (Rematch)

What's stopping Batman getting copyed?

Idk if its page includes the comics/game but that stuffs instant.

Even if it doesn't that's hard to avoid

So you've remade the match with all the same conditions as the previous one? Why would the result be any different? By the time Batman finds it he's still gonna have to nuke the city to win.

It's just a matter of that happening before Batman finds him, which is ridiculously easy for Batman to do. Though it's not impossible for the Thing to escape, remember that Batman also probably has access to everything in Gotham and at least one or two contingencies for infestation disease wise iirc.

Batman has literally doubled his profile size lol

The Thing's not a disease though. And Batman's gotta deal with human and vermin population assimilation as well. Cockroaches and rats can be assimilated too and can assimilate others easiliy.

Well, you can factor that into your vote I guess. But Batman has done more then enough science to find a counter to the Thing, on a objective level. It's just a matter of detection and institution, which Batman has many methods for.

Why the hell does that matter?

....Because more abilities and equipment makes a difference in a match that uses them?

So you're giving Bats prep-time? You didn't mention that in the OP, and besides that Batman's wincon is incinerating every last trace of the Thing down to the cellular level. Batman lost last time because everyone agreed that wasn't very likely.

Batman isn't directly fighting a foe. He has access to the Batcave since it's in Gotham. It's not prep time per sé, but he could still feasibly gain access to prep time weaponry and gadgets.

Great, Bats has the power of text walls. That still not gonna help much when every second he spends researching is another being begining the assimilation process which at it's longest is an hour and at it's shortest is possibly several seconds for bugs and rats and shit like that. Half the city will be assimilted by the time he's done cause it's also an exponential growth rate for assimilation. By the time Bats has finished his research he's gonna need to nuke the city.

He already has some research done according to the original thread story, and he definitely won't take that long to complete research on something as simple as alien biology (which is average day stuff by Batman's standards)

>Batman knows all about the Thing but doesn't know where it is or what form it's take

Fine Bats knows what the Thing is. He still has to find and incinerate every last trace of the Thing. How long do you think that'll take? An hour maybe two? What if the Thing divides into a few hundred rats and spreads around the city, infecting everybody it comes across. And what if he does find it, how will he detect it? The Thing becomes an undetectable, nearly prefect (nearly because it's still the Thing under the facade, but that won't be detectable above the cellular level) copy of what ever is assimilted or I should say the assimilated becomes a copy of the Thing.

Well, you can doctor that into your vote or call it a stomp I guess. That's up to you. I don't make your vote for you.

....I hate The Thing match
TBF the Thing has very clear and defined weaknesses and capabilities. This match just doesn't take advantage of any of those and infact gives all the advantage to the Thing.

It's gonna be really difficult for Bats to track down the Thing across all of Gotham, especially since he needs to destroy every cell of it for it to stay dead.

Tracking it isn't the hard part, considering he has technology that can track every molecule of a substance on Earth. It killing the thing that's the challenge.

Oh, right. It just had to be the previous rules!

I swear, if I can't wipe out the Necroa Virus, I WILL find a way to kill this thing!

It's very interesting how that makes it sound like I'm wanking the Thing. There are very important reasons why every thing movie has taken place in the frozen north where very little life exists.

If we're voting now, I'd vote Dark Knight due to Schnee's explanations.
I'm pretty sure Shnee was joking, especially sense I'm not entirely sure sleep grenades would work on the Thing. He'd have to effect literally all of Gotham plus the sewers reliably hit ut sense he doesn't know where it is.

If someone has a issue with the previous rules, I have no issue with changing them provided there is good reason.

Sleep was a joke yes. The Superman bots weren't.
