Technically, Tony was going pretty easy on her in the beginning, he tanked her attacks without much struggle, could punch her back, even countering her energy absorption, is just after wearing that "Marvel Buster" when his luck go downhill.

Between the things that Bendis missed in the battle, there is:

  • The Zero Point Energy attacks, which Bendis himself gave to Iron Man in his series, cant believe he discounted such a killer move.
  • The armor Regenerationn, which Bendis also gave to Iron Man in his series, Carol could keep attacking but she would eventually tire out.
  • The Molecular Rearrangement, which is a OP level of shapeshifting (Also from Bendis) that gives Tony a form of Reactive Evolution and Zenkai Boost that Carol has no good way of passing
Legit, he may knew that Tony was actually way too powerful for Carol to handle.

Tony should realistically win but the writers love wanking Carol (Base Carol winning against Hulkbuster 2.0....)

Well, comics as a medium are notably inconsistent. That said Bendis is the type of guy who comes up with cool stuff but often at the expense of past works. He's also very hit or miss. When he's good, he's good. When he's not, his stuff is downright awful.

As for Carol fighting Tony, yeah no. Tony takes this, he's way more versatile with everything Carol's got and then some. Her taking Tony down CWII is just bad writing. Plus, Marvel has been on this thing of trying prop up Carol for...some reason. I really don't know what they're doing or think they even know what they're doing. It seems like they want to make her the new face of Marvel Comics but they botch it up everytime. At best, she's bland. At worst, she's quite unlikeable. CWII highlights really what's wrong with how they've been writing her.

Honestly, Carol as she is right now as a character is almost unsalvageable. Her constistency in being inconsistent due how she's been written and just how unlikeable and pretentious she's being recently just makes me wish she either dies off or doing once again another reboot of the character.

But can somebody do a GOOD job writing this character? They push her into being the new face of Marvel but they do everything in their power to make her as unlikeable and as bland as possible. Actually write her well with flaws that she acknowledges with no political undertone, make her human and relatable. They try to make her Marvel's Superman (despite Sentry being a thing) but they forget that Superman actually has flaws when it comes to his character. But because a woman character can't show struggle nowadays without being called a woman-hater or a misogynist.....really pisses me off.

Sorry for the rant, guys. I just really hate today's political climate and how it affects everything we enjoy for the sake of meeting an agenda, not caring about it's audience or straight up insulting them. As for the fight, Tony wins. Way more versatile, has hax that Carol struggles with and has everything she has and then some.

A lot of what you said rings true. Personally, I think that Marvel's just taking advantage the current political climate so that they can just do the bare minimal in making a story and if anyone tries to call them on it, they'll have to deal with the toxic PC environment. This also applies to Star Wars as well, sadly.

Having a political agenda behind something doesn't automatically make it good. You have to make it good in spite of it. If not, you'll end up with something like Ghostbusters 2016 where the movie sucked and the agenda was put on the forefront.

And now, more and more of the general audience is starting to realize the political undertones and just how awful the PC movement is. There is a reason Captain Marvel was filled with controversy (essentially Brie Larson vs The Fanbase). This is something that any and all company should take note: "Never Insult Your Audience". Killing your main source of income is clearly a good idea for some...I mean look at Star Wars with The Last Jedi and Solo...

Ok, CM's gotten a definite upgrade due to scaling above Quasar who scales to 4-B Phoenix Force hosts, who are generally stronger than Thor, which is better than before because we didn't know where she was in 4-B.

So, really, her Binary form is definitley above the 386 Kilofoe standard. Problem for her, IM is pretty much as well based on the fact his Model 51 is comparable, if not superior, to all his old suits. One of those suits can beat down the Avengers that included She-Hulk, one of his Hulkbusters can briefly content with WB Hulk (1 Megafoe), and another can destory that aforementioned Hulkbuster. Honestly, I don't see any real advantage AP/Dura between the two of them. Any difference would be minimal in the grand scheme of things.

However, CM really loses out here for a number of reasons:

1. While CM can absorb energy blasts, IM has created a blast that she couldn't absorb. TBF to CM, she knows about this. But it's still an advantage to IM that he can actually attack her with energy blasts but she can't becasue, IM will just absorb it.

2. Even further than that, IM just has more of arsenal. He got missles, sonics and zero point energy to get a leg up.

3. IM has better defense. His energy absoption means that CM is left trying to punch his lights out. When it comes to the physical brawl he has regen, his armor has regen and he has energy shields to back that up. So, he take the hits via dura lone, and regen most of the damage he takes.

When it comes down to it, IM just brings more to the table. He neturilizes CM's major offense and defense and even if he didn't he as the advantage in a physical brawl due to the fact that he could reasonably outlast her. Then you add in little things like his sonics and zero point energy and it's pretty clear that IM would be in the best position to control and win this fight.

How much of a difference would there be in the speed if it wasn't equalized? What could Iron Man do against it?

It would depend on if Iron Man's reactions are MFTL+. If so, he could reasonably fight CM. If not, than that would just practically hand the match to CM.

This depends on whose writing her. She's one of the most inconsistent characters tier wise because one minute she's portrayed as being around Spider-man's level the next she peels apart Tony's best suit and knocks out Thanos...

Yeah 2 kinds.

  • He has one that's Nigh-Absolute Zero by his equipment, Basically he throws it at you
  • He has Absolute Zero by creating a field of it.
