Try as he might, the Jersey Devil just couldn't overcome the swarm of Lost Souls the Pain Elemental unleashed upon him. Everytime he struck or threw one of the flaming demon skulls away, another would immediately take its place, ripping and tearing at his flesh.

Swinging around, the Jersey Devil tried to smack away the assailing Lost Souls, but only one or two were knocked backwards, as the rest held tight to his limbs and body, biting through the chimera's flesh and beginning to reach the bone. Desperate, the Jersey Devil tried taking to the air to escape, but he only managed to get a few feet into the air before several of the Lost Souls began ripping into his wing membranes, shredding the thin skin and stripping him of his flight. Plumetting back down to the jungle floor, the Jersey Devil kicked and flailed desperately, his agonized cries filling the air until one of the Lost Souls clamped its jaws around his neck, ripping open his throat with its teeth.

While the Jersey Devil was proceeding to be torn asunder by the Lost Souls, the Pain Elemental continued on its way. Even over the sounds of its Lost Souls dismembering the Devil, it could hear the cacophony of battle, or pained and angered roars in the distance. Not wasting anymore time, the Pain Elemental followed the sounds, ever hungry for death.

Ducking under the desperate swipe of the bear, Godzilla-Kun swung his left fist upwards, uppercutting the bear in the jaw with a loud crack and making the mammal stagger backwards. Blood trailing from his mouth, the Grizzly Bear recklessly charged forward one last time, but Godzilla, in better condition, swung his tail around. The wormy limb struck the bear across the face, another crack piercing the air as the bear's lower jaw was dislocated.

Collapsing to the ground, the bear struggled to rise back to his paws, moaning in agony. Deciding the put the bear out of his misery, Godzilla's dorsal spines flashed briefly before the kaiju discharged his Atomic Ray. The blue beam of radiation nailed the bear in the head, creating a small explosion as the bear's flesh and fur was burned away in an instant from the attack. As the smoke rose into the air, the bear's dead body collapsed onto the grass, a large cauterized hole burned into his skull.

Satisfied, Godzilla-Kun glanced up at the sky as a bolt of lightning streaked over the cloud-covered sky. It was raining pretty heavily now, and thunder rumbled and roared in the distance. Looking out across the lake, Godzilla-Kun could see a small red cat-looking creature battling that fish he had seen earlier. How odd.

To Godzilla's left, several meters ahead near the shoreline, several large rocks littered the ground, each one a different size, but all were almost Godzilla's size. Deciding he should try his luck finding any items in case anything else tried attacking him, Godzilla-Kun made his way over to the rocks, pulling back his left fist and launching it into the nearest hunk of stone. The boulder promptly was smashed to pebbles, chunks of rock falling away as Godzilla found a sandglass amongst the rubble. Glad that he could stock up, the little kaiju set to work, punching away at the rocks and collecting his items.

Just as he had smashed apart the last rock and got a bomb, a demonic cry pierced the air behind him. Turning around, Godzilla-Kun gapped in horror at the sheer ugliness of his newfound adversary. The Pain Elemental emerged from the jungle, ready for more carnage as it promptly began spewing Lost Souls from its twin mouths.

Narrowing his eyes, Godzilla-Kun stood his ground and braced himself for combat as the Lost Souls began closing in on him.

One might stop and wonder to themselves 'How does this even work?' But the real question is, can it hold two conversations at once?

Then he could likely just stop time and just keep using several explosives to blow the crap outta the elemental

Wait, I'm actually gonna be in the finals of a bracket?

In all honesty, that makes some sense. Not sure if it's a vote towards Gojira-Kun, but eh.

Honestly I'd argue Godzilla-Kun could take the tourney. This is probably gonna be his most difficult battle tho

I love how the narrative in the OP actually conveys how much of an agonizing experience it is to fight a Pain Elemental in DOOM 64.

Yeah, I don't see the Elemental getting around time stop if it's used. I dunno why that kind of ability was allowed into a tourney where most of the cast is haxless, but, meh.

Zilla FRA.

Btw are these matches all gonna be added after the finale or should we like

add some of them right now?

Do what you want with them.

Teenage Godzilla FRA (also funnily enough Godzilla-Kun as a child has a moon shattering feat, that's an obvious outlier)
