Kirito takes on a hardened assassin (1-1-1)

Because Grant is a skilled agent that is tasked with taking down Bond and Kirito is some kid? It's not difficult to see. Grant even has a real weapon.

That hardly needs explaining I think.

It does.

For "Some Kid", he ended up being the best swordsman in the entirety of SAO and was the only one who was capable of using duel blades, and survived for 2 years in it, and managed to defeat Heathcliff, the admin of said game, in their first duel.

This isn't even counting GGO and onwards

Liiiiiiitle bit more explanation is required methinks

After the second season, so he retains all of it

Grant is probably the more skilled one as I'm more then aware of how well this guy is as a fighter, but Kirito being "Just a kid" Isn't an argument.

That is true. But Schnee I think what Jack was trying to say what that in this part of the show, he's without his crazy SAO powers and just a kid. I don't think he's underestimating the kid in his defence

But yes I can see why you need more of an explanation

What's your vote Schnee One. I've made this as close as possible BTW

Right...

Okay, fine. He doesn't have his fancy SAO powers and is just a kid. I'm not trying to be disingenuous here but I was rushed while typing that out so yeah. Either way my vote still stands I don't think it matters much.

Outside System Skills (OuSS): As its name suggests, are skills that are the users own, unlike sword skills and magic that are provided for by the game engine.

Can that match someone who went toe to toe with Bond and is also an extremely skilled fighter and assassin? I mean, I don't mean to pull this one out but Bond beat Kirito as well, although Bond had a firearm.

Still, I doubt he's real life skills would match those of an assassin

Fighting someone whos skilled dosen't mean your just as skilled as they are. And this ordinal scale/real life kirito right, as the people said above kirito is skilled and has 2 years+ of expirence.

The ouss skills give him the power to imitate sword skills (he can imitate nova acension the strongest one handed sword skill), break weapons, throw the opponet off via mislead and some other stuff.

So i'll vote for teen boi

Yeah and that's great but it doesn't change anything. Red Grant is in his 30s. He has had decades worth of experience. He's regarded as one of the greatest assassins who is good in every field, he went toe to toe with Bond who is even more experienced than himself. He's also well trained in fighting and for even longer than Kirito, and I'm 99% sure Kirito's 2 years of experience don't match up to deacades worth of experience. Again, matched with Bond who can easily beat swordsman

I don't mean to be rude and I'm sorry if i am, but in what way does Kirito win this more than Grant. Grant's more experienced and more skilled.

But I'm sorry if that came on a little harsh

Nah it's cool. Anyways kirito does have a lot of experience with 1 v 1s but i doubt it helps here.

There's still ouss that he can use to stat amp and etc

This version of Kirito has enhanced senses (detecting violent intent when someone is attacking, or just violent intent in general), considering Outside System Skills work irl.

However, that's literally his only advantage. Everything else seems in Red Grant's favor.

Not voting yet, but that's all I have to say. To make this more fair you should probably unequalize speed so that Kirito at least has speed and enhanced senses advantage.

It wouldn't, Red Grant could still see Kirito. It's just Kirito's reactions are heightened and he could react much more easily to Grant's attacks, so not a blitz.

Well, Kirito has the speed advantage + enhanced senses.

But Red Grant has a major experience advantage.

Has Red Grant ever fought someone who was faster than him and/or can detect his attacks via his volent intent?

Grant has an experience and skill edge. He's been an assassin for decades and is a highly regarded one. Can Kirito'S violent intent detect someone who purposefully acts nice at first then goes in for the kill?

He's only fought someone as fast as him

Yeah, he can detect those sorts of things, since as long as Grant has an intent to kill Kirito, and as long as Kirito knows someone is after him (he should considering SBA), he'll be cautious and his Hypersense will be in play.

I see.

Well then it really could go any which way. Grant is more experienced and has more years to hone his skills, meanwhile Kirito is quicker and can dodge his attacks while also having hypersense

I can see outcomes where Grant uses his experience to put Kirito in an almost unescapable position and then chokes him out, but I can also see Kirito dodging for a while and chipping Grant down. It's a really close call, might be an Incon honestly

I think the fact speed is unequalized means that this solidly puts it in a very even odd, even with Grant's solid decades worth of experience will make it Kirito quite a difficult puzzle to solve given how absurdly agile he is as a supposed normal highschooler, coupled with his keen combat sense and ability to adapt to the fly will also make it tough for him to decidedly win this battle. In my opinion, I believe this fight will come down to how fast each other can adapt to their style of combat and how quickly they can change their manner of fighting thereby I will vote inconclusive.

I've been advocating for inconclusive a lot lately, I wonder why.
