While Rock has an advantage in AP it can be dismissed based on Sonic's scaling chain (Super Sonic > Perfect Dark Gaia > Imperfect Dark Gaia's presence = 7.2 Yottatons). They both have a ton of the same abilities, but Rock seems to have a bit more going for him.

Mega Man:

+Duplication

+Acid

+Corrosion

+Attack Reflection

+Absolute Zero Ice

+Flash Stopper

Sonic:

+Resurrection

+Violet Void

+Sealing

+BFR

+Resistance to several of Rock's powers

I vote for Mega Man via slight versatility and power advantage.

This would be more fun if it was Emerl vs Mega Man, shame he can't reach Tier 5.

Anyway, Duplication from Mega Man works more as a distraction while acid and corrosion aren't that useful considering that Sonic can travel through Chemical Plant unharmed. Otherwise, Mega Man FRA.

I think Mega Man wins due to duplication and Absolute Zero. His duplication isn't that much effective if you look at how Copy Vision works. So Absolute Zero?

Really both have very similar abilities. But didn't anyone take into account for Sonic's quills, his fear inducement, life-force absorption, boost his durability (if needs to), his other wisps, and his gear from the Storybook games and Chronicles? Cause Sonic seems to have the versatility advantage in powers and abilities. Some countering Rock's and some actually getting him a win. Rock has black holes and Absolute Zero, but didn't Sonic survive a black hole in Colors and went inside a literal black hole in Zero Gravity? So really I think Rock has AZ and power while Sonic has versatility and better physical fighter.

The AP difference is likely negligible due to Base Dark Gaia's feat being casual, and Perfect Dark Gaia is stronger.

Voting Sonic due to Indigo Asteroid, Violet Void, attack reflection, and time stop. He can also amp his stats with boost aura.

Mega Man has his own time stop and attack reflecion, and he can transmutate with Concrete Shot and warp space with Centaur Flash.

Edit: Oops, Sonic resists petrification, my b

Pretty sure that out of the two of them, Rock is more likely to analyze the weakness of his opponent and immediatly use his advantages to attack. His whole gimmick is that. The moment he realizes Sonic is vulnerable to most of his attack, it's more likely he'll go Dio and then AZ him.

Couldn't Sonic simply dodge or reflect his Attacks back at him? Sonic is capable of Speed Amps in short bursts, and his Attack Reflection is a direct shield in front of him.

Mega Man also has attack reflection, one that works as a omnidirectional shield as well.

So they play ping pong for a bit if anything lol. But as long as Sonic is careful, I don't think the AZ is gonna be a problem.

I mean, it's gonna be a problem for sure. Megaman can also summon a giant tornado of ice btw.

Not to mention the black holes, which i am 90% sure are real ones.

Mega Man should take this. He's stronger. His robotic mind has better analyzation. He's more versatile. He's more haxed.

Mega Man has the advantage in every category, however slight. So I have no doubt he wins.

@Cal Mega Man has an AP advantage, I'll give you that much, but it's probably not as much as it seems. He has better analyzation hands-down, no contest there, but Sonic himself is still impressive in combat.

Mega Man's versatility really only comes from a larger variety of weapons, which Sonic cam counter with his variety of wisps, and a lot of his attacks can be deflected right back at him. I will admit that Mega Man does have a few tricks that can get Sonic off-guard.

I said his advantages were slight, but they were advantages nonetheless. Same cannot be said for Sonic at all. Everything Sonic has, Mega Man has. Except range.

Btw, what can Sonic do against Centaur Flash?

It's a AOE space warping attack that destroys enemies and stops time.

It creates a distortion in space-time that stops time (including Mega Man himself), and attacks all nearby enemies. It can also bypass defenses.
