Is such thing allowed? We have countless versions of a single character like say, Superma, to the point such thing is reasonable.

Not even Link has that many versions TBH.

I personally don't think that it would be a good idea, as there are so many irrelevant versions of the characters with temporary enormous power-ups. It would basically lead to extreme wanking and set very bad precedents.

"Composite profiles should generally only be given to extremely prominent well-known characters with multiple incarnations, and these should only go by their own highest statistics. That means that external weapons and power-sources, that are not a normal part of their arsenal, should be excluded"

I obviously need input to see if such thing can be allowed, however.

What´s in bold also solves that issue about the temporary big power-ups, by the way.

Well, composite Superman would essentially just copy the strongest Superman profile in the wiki, and lead to bad blood with fans of other franchises. It does not seem like a good idea at all.

Maybe if we started with something more "acceptable" like a composite Spider-Man?

Assuming not, shouldn´t there be a note regarding this?

1) No, there is no need for it. There are a massive amount of unimportant alternative Spider-Men from parallel universes.

2) Perhaps, but I am not sure what it should say.

Maybe something in the Specific Fictions section of the Editing Rules like:

"Please refrain of developing Composite profiles for any well-known Marvel or DC character like Superman or Spider-Man. Given the high amount of potential statistics and potential bad blood from the users, it is best to just avoid such concept"

Hmm. Not quite, but I will think about it after I come back from a walk.

Something like this perhaps?

"Please refrain from writing Composite profiles for Marvel or DC characters like Superman or Spider-Man. This is due to the massive number of unimportant versions from alternative timelines, and resulting potential highly inflated statistics and powers and abilities sections, which can set bad precedents for the wiki, and result in bad blood from fans of other franchises."

I don't know if it should be a part of the Editing Rules or the Alternative Canon and Composite Profiles page though.

The latter seems better overall, but I don´t know where.

Maybe a new section?

I will ask Matthew for input. I think that he helped me to write the page.

Okay. Thanks. I will add it then.

I have done so. Should we close this thread?
