So in my initial revision thread, the idea of using Seismic Toss as a whole was basically thrown out of the window due to many inconsistencies between both the games and anime (both primary and secondary canon). As such Sub-Rel was ruled out.

I am not a fan of Fling either but, no one cares about that right now. Apparently, there needs to be a discussion around all the light based attacks in order to get ratings for speed as well.

The attacks brought up are:

Solarbeam

Flash Cannon

Flash

Doom Desire

Likely others I missed.

I was still against Seismic Toss as well. But then the thread turned to shit as I was accused of things I was not doing....

I also think there's no problem with Doom Desire, as it's outright said to be sunlight by a scientific source.

Can't answer anything about Doom Desire. Of course the argument will be made as to whether FE Pokemon scale or just Legendaries.

Power Gem: The user attacks with a ray of light that sparkles as if it were made of gemstones

Another arguably SoL attack

Solar Beam definitely shouldn't be considered to be SoL, it doesn't reflect light, it absorbs it to power the technique.

Doom Desire, Flash, Flash Cannon, Light of Ruin, Power Gem, and Signal Beam are as described as light, and there are a few more legendary-exclusive moves that are also described as light

Light of Ruin should not be used. It's in the games, but the move has never been shown nor officially released.

Either way I will message other people.

Question time.

1. What is Doom Desire, Flash Cannon, and Signal Beams description in game.

2. How does Doom Desire look?. I know how Flash Cannon looks and if Signal Beam looks and acts anything like it does in Pokemon XD I can see it being considered light.

Flash Cannon: The user gathers all its light energy and releases it all at once. This may also lower the target's Sp. Def stat.

Signal Beam: The user attacks with a sinister beam of light. This may also confuse the target.

Both moves are visually beams of light.

Alright. I guess it seems fine then. Only thing is, has any Pokemon dodged Signal Beam, Flash Cannon or Doom Desire?.

Of course, there is the matter of accepting Poliwrath's feat as scalable to all other FE Pokemon.

Mewtwo's feat would scale to Legendaries only tho.

Well if they get calced then I'm fine with it. Though I have a problems with Pokemon scaling, it's just how I see it and it was already discussed so I'm not going to derail.

Anyway, lightspeed for those attacks are fine by me.

Don't they need to fit a few more of our criteria's? From what I understand Bleach and Naruto have something very similar to this. ( Light Fang and the beam that the Hollows shot. ) It just seems like there should be more proof of this other than being made of light and being a beam.

Signal Beam is questionable. Not gonna doubt that. But Doom Desire is legit. Being stated by a scientific source to be sunlight rather than just a beam of light and appearing as sunlight in the game interpretations is more than Light Fang.

How so? I'm not all too familiar with Pokémon ( Was more of a Digimon kid :p ) but what else does Doom Desire do that justifies it being light speed?

Reading this chapter.. i'm wondering how this Poliwrath feat was even quantifiable in the 1st place.

This is the sequence of events, and it's even a delayed attack so how did Poliwrath intercept something that wasn't in movement?

Some more things about Doom Desire...out of every iteration of it including the games it is never depicted as a beam of light, heck the move itself implies it's a predetermined action with the "Jirachi chose Doom Desire as it's destiny!" followed by sparks of light from above. The movie Jirachi Wish Maker is even more ridicolous with them blasting off into the sky team rocket style and blowing up into sparks of light.
