Old? Yup

Bald? Uh-huh

Grumpy most of the time? Yessir

Leader of a group? Sí

Uses an element to fight? Uh huh

Need I say more?

The Leader of the First Sons vs Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13

Both at Mountain level+, Yamamoto's Bankai is restricted

Both start 20 feet away from each other

Location: Mix of Empire City and the Seireite

Victory via DEATH, KO or INCAPCITATION

WHO WINS AND WHY?

Mean old lightning guy:
8 (Gargoyle One, DMUA, ZackMoon1234, CoreOfimBalance(COB), The Wright Way, Dr.Fix, KazuiK, ByAsura)

Mean old fire guy:

Inconclusive:
1 (Homu Sweet Homu)

Niiiiice, love both of these dudes.

Anyway, let's go into detail

AP and Dura:

Pretty much equal between these two, both are ridiculously above multiple M+ characters, arguably Yamato takes the slight edge due to just how many he's superior to, including Aizen, but it shouldn't make much of a difference regardless

Skill:

Yamamoto no question, living 2100 years and being above even some of the best and oldest trained Shinigami skill wise, that said, Kessler's mastery of his own abilities and his longevity does make him strong enough to avoid getting demolished skill wise

Abilities:

Here's the kicker, considering Yamamoto's existence Erasure and the likes is restricted to his Bankai, Kessler can take the advantage using his Phantasm's, and Yamamoto being a purely CQC fighter Absolutely screws him over against them, without prior knowledge he'll swipe one and get Mind haxed.

For that, I think Kessler takes this 6/10 times, CQC gets him obliterated, and mindhax won't work with memory injection, but with Yamamoto being a mostly CQC fighter and Phanatsms Mind Haxing those that come into contact with them, that gives him the victor

Might go with inconclusive later tbh, Yamamoto is skilled enough to wreck in CQC

Kessler for the reasons Above.

I don't think so, they're just not safe to physically touch since if you do, you get mind screwed

Okay. Then Kido is definitely gonna be useful here.

Yamma is obviously a master in this art. He can easily creates some high level shield and binding technique in an instant to block and binds the phantasms and perhaps kessler himself.

But that depends on if Kess is gonna resorts the Phantasms from get to go or not.

Nah. Going off what I remember from gameplay, it's like his 2nd-3rd go to move when in his serious stage.

Does Yamamoto know that he needs to shield himself instead of slashing them apart?

1. You can't block them

2. You say that as if he knows to do so.

Kessler. Assuming they're comparable in raw power, Kessler's profile lists WAAAY more abilities and genius level inteelect while Yamamoto is a hot head with one dimensional fighting style.
