In this blog which justifies High 6-C Bijuu in Naruto, using vaporization rather than pulverization is justified because of the depiction of a rising cloud after the explosion has finished.

In the blog for Meliodas' destruction of Danafor pulverization was used. However, when Zaratras shows Elizabeth the past we can clearly see a massive rising cloud long after Meliodas unleashed his darkness and turned Danafor into a massive crater.

Here is the rising cloud.

And the next / three / pages show us that a reasonable amount of time has passed since Meliodas used his darkness to destroy Danafor. He had enough time to walk (while carrying a baby, so he probably wasn't speeding along at MHS+ speeds). It certainly seems like more time than in the Naruto example, and the cloud is still rising out of the crater. There seems to be a larger cloud as well.

With the Naruto instance as a precedent, Meliodas and those who scale to him should be upgraded to Low 6-B using the vaporization values already posted in KamiYasha's blog post.

I think it would be good for some members who are good with calcs to look at this.

The logic seems sound to me though.

...Nobody ever claimed he used something other than darkness. I don't understand what point you're making because it's like if somebody replied that the Tailed Beasts used their Tailed Beast Balls to destroy the land. The fact of the matter is Nakaba showed us on-panel a big cloud rising from the crater as Meliodas walks away with Elizabeth.

Wasn't vaporization rejected for this before? It happened when we were already talking about who would scale. >_>

Though I can't remember if this is exactly what was brought up.

the vaporization was denied with the justification that there was not enough smoke. But the argument presented here today and the images show that it had a lot more smoke than was previously imagined.

Yeah frankly the amount here seems huge compared to what's used to justify High 6-C Bijuu, and more time seems to have passed as well when the cloud is shown still rising

If you haven't already, putting this thread on the calculation evaluation thread is what you should do so those who know the calcs can re-evaluate it.

The ability of Darkness in Seven Deadly Sins has never really been shown to Vaporize objects or produce heat.

That was the case until the flashback chapter, when we see a huge cloud of steam rising out of the crater after Meliodas had already used his attack. Heat is just kinetic energy.

The calc itself seems iffy as hell. The way it got the sizes seems to be trying to hide the building clearly visible on top of the "mountain" (hill) as well. It's an inflated wank calc at best and definitely not 8km deep either.

The calculation has been accepted for a while, but if it needs to be re-evaluated that's a whole different issue.

The calculation has already been evaluated as correct, the only point against the use of vaporization is the fact of having little steam, which was proven in this post as false.
