I've been meaning to make this for a while, but I never got around to it.

Necrozma's AP is lowballed. Not downplayed, but lowballed. Dark's calc was very conservative, which is okay, but Necrozma lights up the universe rather than just X amount of light years. Dark's calc has an end for that, and iirc, it's still 4-B, but it's a hell of a lot higher than 31 Foe.

That is all. Nothing major. Not even a tier jump.

@Kal. The script mentions several times that "Necrozma gave light to the worlds," with there being no way that world meant planet, especially given that we were dealing with multiple universes.

@Kukui. Matt informed me that lighting up the universe is now 4-B.

Yeah but doesn't Necro provide light to literally multiple universes though? At least a dozen? I thought doing more than one universe, after a certain point, gets you to the 4-A club?

The gap between 4-B and 4-A is bigger than the gap between Raditz and Super Boo. I don't think so.

Yes but considering the number of worlds being lighten up, it should be able to reach 4-A depending (again depending)

Btw, I of course agree with this, just still confused on why only 4-B.

Heads up that Necrozma was explicitly stated to have travelled through Ultra Wormholes in order to provide light to other worlds, so his AP would not scale to lighting up multiple universes, simultaneously.

This has nothing to do with the OP, though.

@Azzy

So...we're in agreement? You're not saying no to a cosmic level AP upgrade for Nintendo? ovo

Wait really? Where was this stated actually?

Have not looked at my game in a while.

@Kukui

Phyco: And in fact, we were not the only ones who basked in its light. It travelled to even the distant world of Alola by passing through Ultra Wormholes!

@Cal

I'm pretty sure I agreed with 4-B Necrozma, a while ago.

Ah that. One thing.

Where is the implication of Necrozma itself physically traveling to the worlds and lighting them up coming from? By "traveling", that can also mean the light Necrozma gives off also traveled to the other worlds to light them up without Necrozma being there given Phyco said "not only ones who basked in its light". Plus the cutscene after Necro's defeat where its light reached Alola without Necrozma being there yet.

And wasn't it also stated just its light reached alola and gave pokemon the ability to use Z-power?

Because the entire conversation, as well as the sentence immediately prior, is about Necrozma and how it shared its light.

We also have proof that Necrozma can travel to other universes via opening Ultra Wormholes, while we lack any proof of its light independently doing the same thing.

Thats the thing.

"Sharing its light" can mean either of. Necrozma either physically going to a universe and lighting it or its light traveling through ultra space to go to many other universes and lighting them. The quote can easily mean the latter instead of the former.

Also, no evidence? I mentioned the cutscene after Necrozma's defeat where Alola in the main world gets lit up by Necros light before Necrozma traveled there.

That said, im still fine with just plain 4-B in the end if everyone else is.

Stolen light returning is not the same as a world that did not have it at all being suddenly bathed in it. Especially since in the beginning of the game, stolen light is returned without there even being an Ultra Wormhole present.

We're also talking about the stolen light of a single region being returned, not the light of an entire universe.

@Kukui

You are kinda pushing for stuff you don't need to push and therefore making things overcomplicated. This is very cut and dry.

Basically, this puts Necrozma in the...MegaFoe(?) range and that's it. Scales to no one, because Necrozma is the strongest non-cosmic Legendary period.

I'm still firmly thinking that Solagleo and Lunala should scale. But given Necrozma's status within the verse, I doubt that anyone would fight that thing equally anytime soon. Also no S&M movies.

Same.

4-B Solgaleo and Lunala sounds nice. But what would the justification be? Because base Necrozma alone is already above them.

Because Necrozma's boost that made him reach 4-B was solely through absorbing Solgaleo/Lunala. A 5-B becoming 4-B via absorbing another 5-B is ridiculous.

Gotta probably get a bit more input for something like this first (Because it includes stuff like the UBs and Tapus too). And possibly a sober Cal to go with it.
