Considering that Davy's Type 8 would prevent 049 from killing him, and he's much more skilled in combat, I'd give it to him.
 
Davy's Type 8 hasn't actually been tested against hax before. Only conventional damage. He's never been shown walking through Death Manipulation or anything.

Still, I'll count your vote for now.
 
If a character hasn't resisted a specific type of hax before, we usually assume that they can't. Unless there's some other form of evidence to the contrary. (Which there isn't in this case)
 
049's pockt reality is basically just a hammerspace that he keep all of his equipment in. His hax comes from his deathtouch
 
I think he carries more than one, but I don't recall.

The sword technically gives him better reach than 049, though.
 
Well even if it is just one I feel as though he'd be less likely to miss someone with significantly less combat experience. Then there's also his sword.
 
Maybe. They're not standard equipment, so it depends on whether or not that gives him any sort of unfair advantage or not.

Are the 049-2 instances anything other than mindless zombies who try to kill whatever people they see?
 
Non-Combat Applicable. That's an ability he uses for his ship.
 
He actually did insta-teleport from his own ship all the way to Jack Sparrow's once.

But no, he never used it during a fight.

Thinking about it, wouldn't it be equally NLFish to say that SCP-049's death manipulation can work on an immortal when it's only been used on normal humans as it would be to say that Davy can resist death manipulation because he can't die?
 
Not...really? Nobody has death hax (or much of any hax at all) in PotC, so him being unable to die by any means in-series wouldn't necessarily make him unable to die by any means available to 049.

The main problem comes from PotC not really "exploring" Jones's Type 8. (Since it wasn't that kind of series) He's only ever been shown no-selling conventional stuff like sword stabs.
 
Yeah there's no way SCP-049 is getting through Jones' types 1 and 8 immortality, especially type 8. In the end, Jones would simply overpower the plague doctor.

I vote Jones via Immortality.
 
Even if Death Manipulation worked, Davy isn't going to just let himself get grabbed, he'd just chop him down with his sword before he can really do anything.
 
Yeah, and while having his sword, he can reach Extended melee ranges, with that He'd easily overpower 049.
 
Also he could just blow his head off with his pistol.
 
I need to check to see if 049 has death touched NFTS before

Also, did we determine if 049 has an 049-2?
