Did it for the heck of it and it's 8-A so even if it was useable it'd put them in the same league as before. Banyue still remains the most impressive thus far
to be fair it's at least sort of explained by the story i guess (i just finished playing through it). iirc, the boulders were specifically being protected by miasma, so tailless wasn't as effective against it because it isn't really designed for dealing with miasma like the qingming sword and yunkui summit's techniques are. i believe during the final fight against sarah/the creator, the boulders were able to be destroyed because the miasma around them probably lowered, likely due to their connection with sarah/the creator being severed as shunguang was fighting against her. or at least, that's my theory anyways lol. as for obol squad destroying the boulder before miyabi, i don't think that's literally meant to be a strength thing, it's more so just how it was written and ordered i guess.Lil nitpick, I find it very hard to believe that Miyabi failed to destroy the boulder. It’s made even worse when she and YX were the last group to destroy it.
You telling me Seed, Trigger, Magus and a couple dozen guns managed to destroy the boulder before Miyabi?
Or some of the dialogue with them saying they can’t keep fighting these low levels ethereals out of fear of being worn out?
season 2 has definitely been a mixed bag overall but i've still been enjoying it personally. this recent story chapter definitely does have it's flaws though. i think it's just way too long tbh, and i really think a lot of this would've been remedied if shunguang was introduced way earlier so they wouldn't have to bloat the chapter doing all this exposition with shunguang, her relationship with the proxy, and the qingming sword and the truth behind it. it had some cool lore tidbits though, and i'm excited to learn more about sunbringer and the truth behind the VH weapons in season 3

Does the Sword Seeker Chronicles event provide any extra info? Haven't played through it yet myself, but it seems to center on Shunguang and the Qingming Realm, so there MIGHT be something else there. Well, you can probably developing your character better without New Eridu hanging by the threadPlaying the Sword Seeker event and shit bro where was this development and growth for Ye Shunguang in the main story, I like her so much better here
