Yuji is physically superior, but Yuta is significantly more versatile and probably wins a domain clash so I think he takes it high diff

Quickly gonna go through each characters advanatages
Yuji:
If they domain clash: Yuji's domain would be at a disadvantage but considering even Megumi with his bottom 1 domain in the series could clash with Dagon, Yuji should at least be able to not get instantly overwhelmed. Assuming the envioronment of each domain (aka Yuji's home town and the space with the infinite swords) are also pushing against eachother like we saw in Dagon Vs Megumi or even briefly in Jogo Vs Gojo, then Yuji's strategy would probably be to take the fight in his side of the domain so that Yuta won't have access to the CT swords. If he can accomplish that then I can honestly see him winning since he'd essentially reduce the fight back to a CQC brawl, if not then he gets overwhelmed by all the CTs Yuta is gonna be busting out and eventually takes enough damage for his domain to be overpowered.
If Yuta goes 5 min mode: Yuji straight up loses imo. Yuta has free control over his CTs, unlike in his domain, as well as a fully manifested Rika helping him. I can maybe see him outstalling the 5 mins with his crazy good stamina/endurance and RCT but he'd be to damaged and drained afterwards while Yuta can simply pop his domain and finish the job. The only way I can see Yuji winning this is if he gets lucky with a Black Flash streak but that isn't a reliable wincon even for him especially when he'd have to concentrate to use it, which is gonna be extremely difficult when he is getting 2v1d
Overall I'd say the score is 80/20 in favour of Yuta. Yuji can win but it would require things go perfectly for him
Yuji:
- Better Stats (Pre-Awakening he was more or less equal to a domain amped Yuta in strength, speed and durability with his stats increasing further post awakening)
- Better RCT (Yuji has shown much better RCT feats, being able to completely recover from having his torso cleaved several times. He can also use blood manipulation to reattach limbs, which makes healing them easier)
- Black Flash (If Yuji hits a Black Flash, which has good odds of happening, he can very quickly build up a streak of them and overhwelm Yuta while also growing stronger)
- Possibly Poison (This is a bit iffy but considering Yuji gained the physiology of a cursed womb, his blood should be poisonous like their's)
- Rika (Effectively turns the fight into a 2v1)
- Better Domain (Sukuna praised Yuta for his domain refinment and he is even able to replicate Gojo's basketball domain. Meanwhile Yuji's domain is called half-assed and even he admits that he did it on the fly)
- Better Hax (Yuta's bag is just insane tbh, Sky Manip, Technique Extinguishment, Druvh's Shikigami, Precognition would all make life hell for Yuji whether he is fighting the 5 min mode or the domain)

Not gonna vote since I don't care too much for the match-up, but wanted to address something I saw get brought up here.
If Yuji lands a Black Flash, doesn't that just like... completely **** up Yuta? Black Flash can blow the limbs off of people who were ordinarily a bit below Yuji. It can also knock ISODK Mahito out of his transformation in a single hit that was able to previously tank Yuji's blows with no damage. So if Yuji lands one, isn't he punching a hole through Yuta?
Additionally, he'll also be inflicting damage to Yuta's soul, which unlike Sukuna, he can not recover from. Which will quickly cause his output to plummet. I feel one Black Flash is bad for Yuta, let alone a chain of them.
Not saying Yuji wins. Just wanted to prod about that to get a consensus.

I don't think so. Idk if you've read Shinjuku yet since you read the volumes only, but Yuta's durability is higher than most so comparing Yuji doing that to Mahito versus Maki and Todo tanking Sukuna's black flashes, Yuta's being damaged greatly but its not one shotting him.
Yuji's never shown to attack the soul besides Mahito, and against reincarnates output was lowered because of the control of the body lessening.

I'm not really interested in the thread since I'll be creating a new one when I update Yuji's profile with his missing abilities. @Giannysmag provided some good insights but still left out too many things. We can discuss that in the next VS thread, I guess.

My recent thread already addressed this and was even accepted that he can damage the soul. However, it hasn’t been updated on his profile yet. He should be able to damage souls normally. The real debate is whether he would be willing to damage Yuta’s soul, considering Yuta is his Senpai.
I won’t continue this discussion further I’m just clarifying it with you. If you’d like, we can discuss it in the general discussion thread.

this is not up for debate. "Each character will view their opponents as enemies" State of mind of SBA makes it pretty clear IMO.

If I remember correctly, there was another rule stating that characters would fight according to their in-character version unless the match is bloodlusted. Yuji is considerate when he fights others, unless it's Sukuna or cursed spirits. He doesn’t go for the kill. Damaging the soul would technically mean killing Yuta, as he doesn’t have soul regeneration, and I don’t think Yuji would even want to cripple Yuta by cutting off his limbs down to the core.
If I’m misunderstanding the SBA rules, then Yuji has a pretty clear win condition with Soul Dismantle. However, his profile will take some time to be updated, so whatever—I’m not going to participate in this thread to argue that. He also has some good haxes coming up for his domain.
