Nejire is also a bit of a glass cannon, as her durability sits at 237.32 Tons of TNT. Meaning Yumi's attacks will hit harder on Nejire than her own attacks on Yumi.

Yumi's advantage are combat skill as Nejire has zero showings in close combat, higher durability, can change the battlefield to a more favorable location for herself, can increase her power and speed with Frantic Mode, boost her power even further with Ice Queen, and uses ice attacks that can slash/cut/pierce.

Considering Nejire's durability is over 2x less than Yumi's AP, if given the chance she can easily slice through her body.

Nejire's advantages are her superior air mobility with true flight, overall higher AP, superior range, higher Lifting Strength, and likely longer lasting stamina as well. Nejire is able to fight against a villain for over 20 minutes while he was absorbing her vitality and her own Quirk uses her vitality as well.

Although, I don't see the fight lasting that long. While Nejire's flight is superior and she has higher range, Yumi's ability to jump high and dash through the air means she can always reach her. Nejire's range isn't high enough to attack outside of Yumi's air range.

However, I'm voting for Nejire here. Her victory condition is more likely to happen, since she'll be trying to restrain with her Quirk. If Nejire grabs Yumi with her Wave Motion, she shouldn't have anyway of escape that hold. Meaning she can inflict damage for as long as she wants.

Yumi is very nimble I admit, so she isn't going to be catching her easily. With Frantic Mode making her speed higher would complicate that as well, although she be sacrificing her own durability. I feel Nejire's ranged options are more viable over all and she can easily keep her distance while attacking at the same time.

She also has control over her own attacks, making it harder for Yumi to avoid them as they'll be redirected to her. Both Yumi and Nejire only need the other person to make a single mistake, one slip up and a single attack or grab will end this fight. I just think Nejire catching Yumi is more likely.

Yumi isn't a stranger to flying enemies or homing attacks. Many lesser enemies fly like Nejire, and Mirai and Kafuru (who Yumi is superior to) have attacks that track targets. Yumi actually might have more stamina here too, since Minori (who is weaker than Yumi) is able to "play tag" with Kurokage, which means running full pelt and jumping through treetops at superhuman levels for five hours, all with no signs of tiring. Yumi also has a one-time self-healing ability through her transformation.

I should also mention that if I ever get around to it and enough people can be arsed to respond to a Senran Kagura thread, Yumi will ideally be getting a new key that scales to Jasmine.

That will be nice.

Personally, I think this argument for Yumi does err things a bit more in Yumi's favor. I don't think it'll be enough for Yumi to win, but I think it will be enough to keep Nejire from winning.

So uhh... I think it would be more accurate to call this match a tie/Inconclusive.

I do think both have a capacity to win, and both have a provable history of doing well in similar battles. So Inconclusive does seem fair here.

Also if they met in character I guarantee they'd hit it off and go shopping or swimming together.

I just made the Yumi New Key thread. (Doesn't affect this thread, don't worry).

Also I think Ryobi and Ryona warrant a second key since they train to beat Ryoki in her strongest state. This would make them at the end of Estival slightly above 1KT, baseline Small Town level. I need to get the scans for it first though, so that'll have to wait until later, along with the stamina upgrade for playing tag for five hours without tiring.

Makes sense. Any good support is better than none at all.

My thread's OP has been updated with new information. The DLC also features the 23 students beating a now fresh Jasmine, which lines up pretty well with Yumi beating her prior. Would you be willing to weigh in on the thread, and would you know any thread mods or admins who could evaluate it? Rusty seems intent on treating Yumi's power jump and subsequent win against Jasmine as meaningless, and I anticipate that the students beating Jasmine in the DLC won't change that.

Depends. It is a plot relevant or is it just game mechanics stemming from Senran Kagura's arena fighter-esque Vs Mode?

Yumi beating Jasmine happens in the story mode and is a very significant part of the story. The students beating Jasmine is also a story event in the added missions. Cutscenes, scripted events and everything.
