Yu-Gi-Oh! General Upgrade (Mostly Dark Side of Dimensions and Season 5)

I know, i know.

Coming from me, talking about Yu-Gi-Oh is a death sentence because of a particular other also liked Yugioh.

But i just cant let pass the fact that some stats should be higher on here, as i will explain below with tons of stuff that might or might not result in an upgrade.

So please, if you disagree with one, do not ignore the rest, since most of them come from either the anime or the manga or particular scenes that have nothing to do with each other.


-Ancient Egypt has actual magic.-

Atem should get Magic Manipulation/Use on his profile.


I know Mana nor Mahad doesnt have a page here, but in the same video (https://youtu.be/Y1oLxWubkM8?t=1m11s) Mana used a frezze spell to frezze the guards, alonside turning people into toads and getting rid of bad breath, so both should have added eventually, or if you consider it reasonable, to the Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl profiles.

-Dark Side of Dimensions- (Probably only aplicable to Manga Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, but i am unsure.)

Kaiba summons Obelisk the Tormentor from his mind (Since the God Cards dont exist anymore), and uses him to defeat Aigami/Diva and destroy the Dimension that surrounded them in the duel (Which is Universal in scale as shown in the film´s finale).

This should give DDoD Kaiba and Obelisk at most 3-A and flat out summoning from Kaiba, since he summoned him from literally nothiness.

Atem also saves Joey from said power, which would give him resistance to Existence Erasure, the ability to travel to Diva´s dimension and Power Nullification. (Power Nullification is also backed up by the movie´s plot, where Diva attempts to erase Yugi to avoid the Pharaoh from coming back, which was stated would result in his powers being nullified.), he also directly stop Corrupted Diva´s power from destroying the cosmos and resurrects everyone erased by the QC.(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDKN9Qyg6XA.

Atem travels to the future to save Yugi as well.


Kaiba´s new Duel Disk makes him inmune to the powers of the Quantum Cube. (Until Corrupted Aigami https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3yHRw3saW4)

This would give Kaiba and Yugi resistance to BFR and Existence Erasure with said new Duel Disks.

-Duel Monsters has real force -

In both Yugioh The Movie (Which might not be canon, but it is worth mentioning) and Dark Side of Dimensions (The entire duel against Corrupted Diva, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3yHRw3saW4) Shows that monster attacks and life points to affect in AP and Durability in the YGOverse, proved by the fact Kaiba was only erased when his LP became 0, and how attacks against Aigami actually damaged him.


If we were to scale game mechanics to this, every duelist with the new Duel Disk should have an upgrade in AP and Durability based on Life Points (For example)Timaeus the Knight of Destiny has Infinite plus 1 ATK and Infinite Obelisk would be High 3-A.

Conclusion

Dark Side of Dimensions Yugi and Kaiba should have Resistance to BFR/Existence Erasure

Dark Side of Dimensions Kaiba should have Summoning (Summoned Obelisk from his mind alone), Time Travel with prep (Duel Dimension System allows him to travel back in time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqdSA6nQIUw), and upgraded to 3-A/High 3-A (Using the obelisk he himself created to destroy Diva´s Dimension in one attack.)

Atem should have Magic Manipulation, Power Nullification, BFR/Existance Manipulation Resistence, Time Travel, Either Reality Manipulation or upgraded to 3-A/High 3-A by reversing the effects of the QC and Nullifing it, Non-Corporeality, Able to travel to Dimensions made by Diva (As he did with Joey, whose dimension was made from his memories, which would also be Mind Manipualtion)

Mana and Mahad gets all of the magic stated above on their eventual profiles, or added to the Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl Profiles.

Something I also noticed but wasn't sure if it was brought up but theres an episode in DM Japanese where Kaiba mentions having different modes of pain simulation for the battle city duel disks and that it was disabled by default for the tournament, wish I could remember the episode but it was certainly in a duel that featured Jounouchi.
 
In his duel with Odion I think it was mentioned. those lightning strikes were also Ra's doing.
 
That would increase their durability quite a bit.

Okay so I found the quotes and they are in the very same episode, going by Crunchyroll subs

For Kaiba:

"The Duel Disk Experience system isn't set to do lethal damage. They're both unconcious because the visual images dealt physcological damage"

This may sound NLFy and I'd be fine if people agreed if it was but theres two things that lead me to believe it has these settings.1. He's done it before on earlier contraptions albeit manga Kaiba.and 2. Him using set in that sentence.

For Ra:

Quoting Marik: "Gods Anger will strike everyone who participates in this game"

a flashback is shown before this of a Rare Hunter being struck down by lightining after playing a counterfeit copy of Ra so this at least should as true.
 
Also that Fate Manip feat is more the rod than Kaibas doing, and he never uses the rod again anyway.
 
No, this is whem Kaiba dueled Ishizu, who could see the future with her necklase thingy.

Kaiba changed his destiny on his own.

I have no idea how we handle Yu-Gi-Oh! scaling, honestly. It seems like things are kind of a mess right now, and many things just straight up are never discussed.

Did you know there's a Level 2 monster that's 4-A via sheer size or a robot that blows up galaxies?

I sure as hell didn't until I saw the cards, in person.
 
Yeah.

But as one of the contributers to the scaling, I can say for certain cards and attack are all game mechanics.
 
Also, the problem with Atem negating the Prana was the fact that while he exists, it loses all of its power.
 
Wym? I mean, in a fight between two monsters, the one with the higher attack might have higher skill...? I don't know. Because striking scales to durability and-- yeah, **** it, you right.

Size and storyline are the only things for actual cards. The only big storyline in terms of cards is Duel Terminal, which has no profiles.
 
In terms of being a mess, Yugioh has nothing on Ninjago though.

Yeah, they are for the most part since half of them were absolutely wanked to high hell. Others like Ari, Weekly, Yobo, etc, and I have tried fixing them but this is a franchise that has crossed 6 series by now. And if you thought they're bad now, boy you should have seen them pre-revision.
