In Chapter 95, it is stated it is standard procedure for Defense Force officers to expose the core within a Kaiju by removing the thick flesh first. However, Mina Ashiro is special, the only one in the entire Defense Force that has the ability to shoot the core hidden in the Kaiju’s flesh, bypassing the the need to expose it like every other officer

Isao Shinomiya, the literal strongest in Japan, even higher than the current strongest in Japan Gen Narumi, is stating that her special ability will literally change how kaiju are neutralize. This means that despite his strength as the wielder of Kaiju No. 2, even he can’t do what Mina can.

Case in point, even Kaiju No. 9 value her capabilities more than anyone else in the Defense Force, stating that if he has her power, there would be no one that can stop him and literally step up the entire war just to get her, despite possessing the power of Isao Shinomiya at that time in Chapter 98

Another case in point being that although Gen is renowned for being the strongest division Captain, he is still regarded as weaker than Mina Ashiro when it comes to giant kaiju to the point that if she has been around when No. 6 had attacked, then the damage would be under a third of what they got, despite Isao being alive at the time in Chapter 76

Thus, proposals are as such

• Damage Reduction for Kaiju’s skin
• Limited Durability Negation for Mina Ashiro’s marksmanship

Is it actually damage reduction and limited dura or is it just her being demonically powerful?

Like I'm not sure it's a different ability but it comes off as her just having powerful penetrating power

I was thinking it as so because in Chap 95 Isao was stating his stuff about Mina’s power as being the missing link was when she was still a rookie, and it seems that the neutralization method of bypassing the flesh to hit the core is something only she can do at the time despite Isao’s strength, creating a whole new method of fighting just for her that would incur the least amount of damage to civilians and officers

Maybe an inverse penetration mechanic cause ppl definitely do put guns and things superior to the likes of blades and such

Damage Reduction is wrong cause it means that the victim is taking less damage, when the intention is that they take more.

So, like Damage Boost for Mina Ashiro due to greater penetration capabilities than anyone in her verse

And I guess Damage Reduction can be still applied to Kaiju, as they are quite bullet proof

Boost is weird that's like a critical hit. This is just dura neg tbh. Her ability is hard to actually quantify

So we agree on the dura neg part.

For the Kaiju, it could be used as damage reduction, or as just another justification for their supernatural physical characteristics in their physiology page

Limited Durability Negation for Mina Ashiro’s marksmanship looks fine.
The Kaiju’s tough skin looks to be Bodily Weaponry as a natural armor; the ability is already accepted so this case can served as additional justifications.

I would prefer to reword "Limited Durability Negation" as "Durability Reduction" or something. But looks good otherwise. Also agreed with what Elizhaa said.

Alright, given the agreement, I can say this thread is accepted, with additional justification for Kaiju’s thick skin added to their Bodily Weaponry and Durability Reduction for Mina Ashiro. This thread can be closed
