Aight so I beat the new story for X yesterday.
There is gonna be a major update so the cosmology blog as more and more Xenosaga stuff keeps coming in. We got to directly see the what is the equivalent to the Imaginary Numbers Domain, direct confirmation of parallel universes existing, The Conduit being mentioned again (though its purple this time so maybe there are multiple???)

The planetary stuff was retcon'd to be directly universal. As in "Yeah actually the Universe that Earth was in was nuked by this guy, not just the planet and we're in another universe which is why we can't leave Mira". Luxaar when piloting the Vita was only able to use 30% of its power which means 30% of Universal which is 3-B. Tier 1 only comes into play with the full power of the Ares Prime/Cores given its direct Conduit stuff

Question: Wasn't the initial '2 million lives inside Lao' thing a life-wiper statement? Or are we filing that under anti-feats and/or footnotes at this point?

Could you elaborate on why that would be any sort of an anti-feat? What you said was literally just the biological information that the lifehold possesses that mutated Lao. How does it relate it being an anti-feat?

When I think lives on earth, I think 'life wiper', and my mind immediately goes to the ranges of moon level. I guess the question I'm trying to ask is: if we initially had the Vita etc. pitched at planetary, how much lower does the scaling information etc. have to be to entail an anti-feat?

It depends on the context on said feat. It does not matter regardless given we now know the true scope of the feat. It is as direct as it comes.

If you have a more coherent story, you're far less likely to end up with anti-feats and the like.
If you account for that, you have better scaling and power economies. In turn, you have better profiles.
Think of it as an offshoot of author intent. Re-contextualization can only get you so far when what a writer wants to convey now is very different to whatever humble offerings and scaling they contemplated 10-15 years ago (I'm looking at stuff like the old planetary keys of the XC1 Mechonis/Apocrypha arc in this instance, please understand I'm not against T2+ stuff existing, there's just a time and a place for it).
Although I might add that to my shortlist of CRTs-to-be.

Yeah but you speak as though what you personally accept is the truth and what you don't accept is objectively false. This being despite the fact that you have vehemently denied objective facts about the series (see Pneuma's and Logos's Cores being in Matthew's gauntlet and N's sword, respectively), which clearly indicates a difference between what you accept and what is actually true

What you're saying here requires a response longer than VS Wiki format will probably warrant, and I am quite busy rn. That rebuttal is somewhere in the works, though.
For now, apply 'death of the author' as needed. That'll be your first hint.

That's just throwing it around based on personal convenience. You do not know more about the series than Takahashi, especially not the lore. If Takahashi were to come out and say that Xenogears and Xenosaga were canon to Xenoblade, we'd most likely take his word over yours. That's just how it is

Yeah, no offense. But as many times as I have seen the rants about "Even early game XB3 cast being have Tier 1 scaling evidence," we all feel like we're arguing with someone writing giant walls of text trying way too hard to explain why "2 + 2 =/= 4."
I may have pet peeves for power creeping that happens too soon, but I don't let those personal pet peeves argue against facts. Giant JRPG with big metaverses and gacha stuff just happens to have big power creeps and wall of hax like what we got. Fire Emblem Heroes, Dragon Quest Heroes, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, and many others. Xeno series is just all the same tropes.

I have said for years (though not a single one has ever been made), if you do not like something. Make a CRT and debate us on it. Sitting and complaining that things are not how you want them to be (even if those points are ignoring direct author statements and obvious visuals in favour of a personal view) does not contribute to the going conversation. We know ya don't really have an understanding of the current statistics of the characters (hell, your use of T2 despite the fact that verse is at Tier 1 rn with no Tier 2 ratings in general is telling) and we have plenty of resources made to help you understand everything from the Cosmology Blog to the individual ratings to explain why characters scale a certain way. We're more than willing to help ya out with anything ya don't understand.

Just as a quick aside before I make a more involved response: I say 'T2+' because a lot of my issues are hard-baked into a lot of T2+ verses in general, and what we define as the cosmology of such - not just Xeno JRPGs (also the verses jump from 2-A to 1-C and onward still feels like yesterday ngl).
Turning around and going 'um ackshually, we're tier 1 now' is just... yeah ok cool, but that's not the point I'm trying to make.
But yeah - CRTs and stuff are on my backburner. Hopefully I'll be discussing it with you then.

Haven't you constantly complained about Xenoblade stats for several years now? I don't think I've ever seen you at all follow up on your complaints with actual CRTs beyond complaining about it in this discussion thread or in the death battle threads. If you can refute the cosmology blogs and work that Clover and Josh has put into it then by all means make the arguments, but just saying "I'll only accept this if the creator spells it out for me" is just moving the goalpost and not actually making an argument.

Your point is irrelevant here when that’s what’s established in the games. You can claim you don’t trust the guy whatsoever but him making numerous instances showing the games are canon to one another is something you can’t deny unless you want to play make believe.

Did you deliberately miss the bit where I said him making Blade reference Blade is not my issue, so much as the way he's gone about it in this particular instance (also Saga being referenced by Blade in significant capacity is the puerile deal breaker for me)?
In fact, let me put this another way: if you wanted to turn around and say 'it's not a profile's job to adjudicate on continuity', that would be one thing - but when you consider that CRTs/Profiles are a lot of 'how would this work?', you're telling me continuity errors have never come up once? I find that a little hard to believe...

"Continuity" has always been a complex for various big multiverse heavy verses; especially ones that have had multiple shifts in primary publishers and Trademark ownership. And if you read between his lines; it's pretty obvious that he intends all Xeno games to be the same canon multiverse. But licensing restrictions tends to prevent him from fully saying it outright and he has to rely on Legend of Zelda series level of vagueness in his notes or will only reveal the bigger stuff little by little.

The fact that Conduit/Gate was originally going to be called Zohar in the internal Beta files, but was changed for unknown reasons; likely due to licensing. Combined with his numerous "Larger time and space" statements throughout multiple interviews. And the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 alone kind of opened the door for possibility. But pretty much ever Xeno game period had a similar "Birth of the Universe" origin story involving Zohar and other Zohar equivalents. And the ending of every Xenoblade game since the Switch era has ended in a teaser of some sort or multiple teasers. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 mystified who Ontos is that heavily implied to be Alvis, combined with there also being an origin story for Kos-mos and T-elos. Where rather than being created by the Architect, they both fell to Alrest and were turned into Core Crystals. Shown in an image after clearing Torna the Golden Country. Definitive Edition edited Alvis' appearance to have an Aegis Core Crystal instead of a generic key attached to a collar, Future Redeemed also teased the Space-Time Anomaly and where Fog Beasts hailed from. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 fully confirmed Ontos = Alvis, and Noah and Mio's relationship are a repeat of Fei/Abel and Elly's where they both have apparently died and been reborn numerous times. Future Redeemed doubled down and also teased Xenoblade Chronicles X definitive Edition. XCXDE also has brand new lore dump and once again teased Xenosaga in the same vein that Future Redeemed teased XCXDE.
