Would this count as explosion manip?

Without a reasonable explosion why the kicked character exploded, this sounds like a gag, a character simply doesn't explode by being punched (I'm of course talking about a conventional explosion).

Well, it isn’t really a gag. The entire franchise kinda have been using this “trope” for years now. Basically, if the character use a finishing move (kick, slash, punch whatever) and the enemy are about to die, they explode. As in, vaporized.

Power Rangers I believe; if any, I would attribute it to the monsters dying as a secondary effect, but I ultimately deem it as aesthetic.

Well, it isn’t just the monster either. Name character can instant get vape if they aren’t careful.

Characters simply don't explode seconds after being defeated without some power (like Killer Queen for example); if the attacks are heat based, or have a subliminal effect, they vaporize you the moment it connect, not seconds later, and yet that is not exploding.

And well, it happened again and again. It has been consistently shown to just be a thing that happened.
