Whitebeard Resistances

Would whitebeard have resistance to petrification due to the nature of his being?

Ex. Boa petrifies him at marineford, would WB be able to break out of the stone the same way he couldn't be frozen by aokiji?

Yeah but this is a question about innate resistances due to the nature of WB's being. Aokiji attempted to freeze WB, and WB broke out of it due to his vibrations. Think we should disregard haki in this case for the questions sake.

If he quake himself then he would probably kill himself since he's stone... But haki resists it easily.

Boa's powers are different. He would only counter with Haki and chances are he did not like women that way.

He should have resistance to heat removed though since we are on this subject. He in no way put up resistance to Akainu's attacks.

He did, he was able to stand near Akainu, Akainu can melt steel from a fair distance away.

So whitebeard's durability is above garden variety steel. If we gave heat resistance for indirect exposure literally every character page that wasn't a character in space or otherwise heatless enviroment would have it.

He was right next to the steel when he melted it also are you giving the ground resistence now
unless you are talking about a different scene
Not how it works, Yamamoto wasn't vaporizing the ground underneath him and yet it was stated that he could vaporize Yhwach who was like a dozen meters away.

Cool, and so were Whitebeard and Akainu when they were fighting.

Whitebeard can even touch Akainu's magma without noticeable damage btw

I don't understand why people argue against such pointless things, who cares if Whitebeard has minor heat resistance, he's clearly shown the feats.

At best the compromise would be Resistance to Indirect Heat for reasons Purgy posted. I don't like that because basically EVERYONE should have that but it is a compromise I am willing to give to avoid arguing for days.

There are different mediums where people break out of petrification by "shaking" out of it and breaking out of it that way. Aokiji can freeze people fully through, but it didn't mean anything to WB. Unless there is some info about boa I don't know about that makes her petrification different than it's usually shown.
