What will be the DB canon?

The manga already treats the Broly events as something far in the past, and they already started a new arc. I assume we'll be sticking with the anime because of the power scaling and abilities, but will the manga be valid in a supportive capacity?

I don't know what your question is exactly, but the anime will come back and it will be the main canon. The manga is treated as its separate continuity.

You people sure believe what kekdomgeekdom says; although, "current" anime already contradict what Tori does in the last manga, by awakening Buu in the last chapter.

Although, nothing avoid people to create profiles from the ongoing serie (although at the time there's nearly nothing).

" "current" anime already contradict what Tori does in the last manga, by awakening Buu in the last chapter. "

Explain.

Welp, in the current arc Buu remain sleep, and its when the Galactic Patrol comes up and kidnaps him; howver, iirc he can be seen him in at the last episode of the anime, when the really he hasn't awaken up to the current arc (unless of course, my memory is failing).

Buu was still asleep in the last episode of the anime.
Really? Oh, my mistake then; so Toei can still continue with the last anime without contradicting anything Tori said. Although, we can left aside the "manga is an anime adaptation", is not done and isn't promoting anything.

The manga is not the anime's adaptation.

If anything, the manga is the true canon, considering Akira Toriyama has stated that he considers Toyotaro his personal successor. At the very least, they are equally canon.

Pretty much this. They are both equally canon. But I think the ops question is if both the anime and manga version of Super gives a new feat that affects Z which should we use?

Depends on the type of feat.

Generally, the anime would be better to use for some types of feats because it actually gives a minimum timeframe, while the manga's timeframe is generally unquantifiable and merely guessable.

You simply do not mix both canon. For instance, the calculated Frieza's Supernova do not apply to the manga continuity (although, one can calculate the one that appeared in the movie); and isn't like there's a bunch of feats than involve timeframe in DBS, or DB in general.

Yep the respective feats for anime and manga only apply to their own continuities.

If the question has been answered perhaps we should close this thread now.

I mean aren't the current DBZ manga characters scaled off Frieza's Planet Vegeta explosion from the DBS Anime?

Edit: oh wait nevermind the op was actually talking about using the DBS manga as supporting material for the DBS anime. Which we won't be doing since they are two different canons.

Yeah this should probably be closed.
